mother.

"How would I have known? I've lived my entire life with the name Jewel. And they phrased it so weirdly, cOmE hOme AzRiEl. Do you even know how sketchy that sounds? And a couple days later the nefarious sent the exact same words to me IN SCHOOL. You can't blame me," I shrugged innocently, not even the slightest bit surprised that my real name wasn't even Jewel, my entire life's been a lie.

"The- the what?" Nova had fear in her eyes. "The nefarious are after her..." Taehyung spoke shortly.

"Will she be okay- I mean, your powers don't even work yet that's even more dangerous for you," Nova furrowed her eyebrows in concern. The 2 gave each other a weird glance before Nova headed inside with all the bags and Taehyung was about to take his leave. "Can I meet my parents?" I asked, grabbing his wrist to stop him from leaving.

"I'll take you to meet your mother tomorrow, Nova knows her way around heaven better so she'll help you there." He shortly spoke, about to leave before he noticed something.

"Jackson, your neck." He noticed the bruise I tried to hide with a scarf. "It's just from that man yesterday, his grip was, really hard." I awkwardly said, trying to cover it again just as he grabbed my wrist. He pulled out a tube from his bag, sitting me down near the tree.

"I'm clumsy and get hurt often so I carry this around, I think I'll need it for you." He shook his head, making me tilt mine so he could apply it properly. He blew cold air onto it, as he used a little bit of his own magic, moving the fingertips of his hand on my wound, his bright blue light calming down my neck from the burn. "Goodnight," he said, before pushing me inside as it was getting quite late.

Next day

"Scared?" Taehyung chuckled, we were walking down to the entrance of hell. "I mean I knew I'd go to hell but I'm not even dead yet damn," I replied, playing with my fingers. I was wearing a dress we bought yesterday, Nova convinced me to wear a corset over it since it was more appropriate. As pretty as it looked on me, it was so uncomfortable.

We reached the gateways to hell, it was a lot less, hellish than I thought it'd be. "Hey I have a question," I looked at Taehyung.

"When do you not?" He tilted his head with his rhetorical question. "Oh shush, I just remembered something you said yesterday, you said something along the lines of, Seojun being only child," I spoke out. "Yeah, Mr Yoon wasn't very fond of kids, Seojun was his only blood," he told me.

"But, he had a sister. Yoon Seohyun, I never asked too much about her but they were twins, siblings." I spoke with confusion, "maybe she was part of the fake family that lived on earth, since they're the same age saying they were twins was probably the most sensible cover up. She can't be magical, it just makes no sense," he replied, a tone that made me roll my eyes.

"Remember, this is our entrance to hell, the entrance to the hell that allora's are sent to, is far more, hell like." Taehyung dramatically shivered just thinking about it, "I can take you to the palace doorsteps, but only royalty is allowed in." He warned, as we reached to the castle.

"What brings you here?" The guards at the doors pointed spears towards us, "I'm here to see my mother." I said, moving the sharp object away from my face with my index finger. They immediately gasped, opening the door wide open, "your highness." They surprised me with the tremble in their voices but I walked in regardless.

I headed in, door closing behind me with Taehyung waiting outside. The place was grand, so so, lavish. "What brings you here?" A knife was held to my throat, a manly voice spoke out. I elbowed whoever was behind me in the stomach, grabbing the knife off of them. It was a middle aged man, with platinum blonde hair, smirking at my action. "Why don't we fight with magic?" He suggested, challenging me to a duel like a kid.

"Lucifer brother please stop acting like a child in front of visitors, it's embarrassing," a woman walked down the large stairwell, wearing a mix of a black and gold dress.

"Wait- LUCIFER? As in, the demon who was once an angel? As in, EVIL?" I came back to my senses as he chuckled and bowed sarcastically.

"Actually I'm the demon who fell from heaven because his sister made a hole beneath his feet so he fell all the way down to hell. But how honoured I am to be recognised," he rolled his eyes.

The woman walked down next to me, grabbing my chin and scanning my face. "Azriel?" She squinted.

"Mum?" She immediately let go of my face and turned around. "Why are you here?" She asked coldly.

"To dance- why else would I come to hell? I came to meet you," I replied. "Hell is closed today, and I'm busy, so come another time," she attempted to walk up the stairs making me look at her in disbelief.

"16 years you didn't come to meet me or even contact me to let me know that you even exist. Now that I've come instead, what, you're busy? Fine mother, I'll sit here right in this spot till your highness spares me some of her precious time." I sat on the cold flooring with my legs crossed, her turning around at the sound of me plopping down on the floor.

"You think being the queen of the underworld is a simple job? Do you know how many souls come to hell every day? Don't waste your time and go home." She crossed her arms, I stood up and crossed mine too. "Looks to me as if you're scared to face me," I matched her attitude, Lucifer simply standing in the corner eating something like popcorn.

"Scared? Darling we're standing in hell, just because we're on the side where you can't hear all the screams and see everyone agonising in fire, doesn't mean it's not there." She looked down at me.

"Wait but why are you the ruler of the hell? Isn't that satan's job?" I asked out of the blue. "Well, when satan's evil overtook him and his soul perished, someone like his child had to take over." She explained.

"Woah so you're like, the literal birth spawn of the devil. Like the daughter of the worst man to ever exist," I spoke my thoughts out-loud. "You do realise you're his granddaughter right?" She raised her eyebrow getting offended at my statement.

I tutted before shaking my head, "doesn't count. His sperm, SATAN'S SPERM made you. That's crazy," I fixed my posture.

"She has a point," Lucifer chuckled, if they're siblings then he's my uncle. What a fascinating family tree. "Oh shut it Lucy no one was talking to you," my mother snapped.

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING ME THAT." Anger flashed in his eyes as he made a fireball in the palm of his hands. "Why, it's what dad wanted to name you if you were a girl, he used to say your gender must've been decided last minute since your dick was so tiny." She teased him as if they were toddlers, "god Ivey have you ever not told that story to someone?" He covered his face in annoyance.

"Suck a dick," he muttered under his breath, "mind your language in front of the child please," she said which was a bit hypocritical.

"It's quite sad that you're the queen here but I've only ever heard of Lucifer," I spoke. "I don't need those nasty allora's knowing about me and creating their own bullshit stories. Haven't you never heard the saying behind every man is a strong woman?" She said making me shake my head.

"Oh I wouldn't know, I don't like standing behind people."

I replied, atmosphere becoming weirdly tense. "No I mean like literally, I'm on the short side so standing behind people is just embarrassing, having to tiptoe is exhausting," I clarified. "Wait, shut up, I told you I'm busy, what are you still doing here?" She shook her head at my nonsense.

"Waiting for you to stop being busy," I faked an annoying smile making her roll her eyes. "We don't have anything to talk about," she coughed awkwardly. "We've lived apart for 16 years, I think we both have quite the stories to tell," I tilted my head before noticing the clock on the wall.

"Actually, let's save it for next time, I have to go visit father too," I got up from the floor, dusting off my dress. "Wait- your father?" She grabbed my wrist, I looked at her and nodded.

"Can you... say hi to him for me," she spoke a bit awkwardly, yet desperation was evident.

"I'll think about it." I walked off, giving a wave before exiting the door.

3rd person POV

"What I feared has come true..." Ivey; Azriel's mother, spoke to herself. "What are you talking about? I heard her powers aren't even activated, you have nothing to worry about. I've been telling you for years, that prophecy is bullshit. She might be your daughter but I'm her uncle, and that girl is nothing like what the prophecy described. Our Azriel isn't like that," Lucifer put his hand on his sisters shoulder.

"I know my blood better than anyone, of course I know the prophecy is bullshit." She flicked his forehead. "Then what is there to fear?" He asked, rubbing his head.

"Did you not hear the way she talks? That sarcasm, that humour, that attitude, she's a mini version of me," Ivey facepalmed.

"Ok, now that's something to fear." Lucifer spoke, teasing his elder.

"Alright I've had enough of you," she rolled her eyes, the boy shaking his head while speaking with his eyes, pleading his sister not to do what she always does. She smirked before lifting her hand, her red light sparking before she dropped the ceiling on her brother, making a hole into the floor.

"OH C'MON THAT'S THE THIRD TIME THIS WEEK." Lucifer covered his head as he fell into the hole, with everything falling on top of him. "Yeah, and you still don't learn. Some friendly advice as your big sis."

"Maybe don't annoy the ruler of the underworld while standing in the underworld?"
