communication.

His embrace was warm, one that I felt like I could sleep in. The voices stopped but I wanted them to continue, I wanted to hear my father's voice again. I miss him.

"Go home, it's getting late." Taehyung said, pushing me away roughly as if I was the one who hugged him first when it was vice versa. I picked up the bags and without a word, I left. After getting home I went straight to bed, sleeping away my worries was a habit I needed to rid myself of. That boy ran in my mind, tiring me.

A guardian angel? After all these years? Maybe the people from above sent me a protector now that my dad has left me. But I can never be sure, how can I trust him? He could be just another one of those traps sent in a mans form. But maybe he can teach me how to use my powers... maybe he's all I need.

Next day

I lazily buttoned up my shirt and threw on my tie. I liked school. It was the only place I felt somewhat normal, if only the kids at school would stop treating me like some celebrity, I'd like it a whole lot more, but I guess they have all the reason to avoid me. I slipped into my shoes, leaving the laces untied because I genuinely had no energy in me whatsoever, before opening my front door.

"Morning."

My face remained still while inside my heart had literally taken a huge leap since the sudden voice surprised me. Ugh it's that boy again. I've barely left my house and here he is, I didn't even tell him my address, but then again he shows up where I am any time he wants to. I ignored him, walking straight past his bright eyed figure. "Not much of a good morning I guess." It's like I could hear him roll his eyes at me. He'll get tired soon enough.

"So, where should we start?" He asked, instead of replying I looked at him blankly. I figured he'd take the hint and explain on what the actual fuck he means instead of expecting me to know what he's talking about. "I'm supposed to help you feel. What emotion should we start with?" He continued, I internally laughed at his words, just shrugging off his comment.

Annoyed, he grabbed my wrist pulling me close, due to his unnecessarily tall height I was currently eye to eye with his chest. He used his other hand to lift up my chin, forcing me to look into his eyes. "Listen Jackson, we aren't going to get anywhere if you don't use that little mouth of yours to give me proper replies." He glared down at me, the atmosphere was incredibly tense, and I despised that he was the one in control of this situation.

"Would you mind getting to a distance where I don't have to smell your dirty morning breath? Your lips are about 2cm away from mine and it's doing terrible wonders to my nostrils," I spoke. He scoffed while taking a step back, I knew I hit his pride when I saw him fixating his appearance.

"For the so called angel you claim to be, you have a disgusting anger problem," I uttered, rubbing my sore wrist.

"Oh the hypocrisy. You're an apathetic angel, at least I can show emotion," he regretted saying that almost immediately. "Shit, sorry-"

"An angel? I'm... an angel?" I looked at him with my eyebrows raised, did I just find out what I am, through Taehyung? "Wait, you didn't know?" He furrowed his eyebrows, "how are you 16 and still don't know what you are? That's peculiar, why would he hide that from you?" He went into deep thought. He? Does he mean my father?

"Well you aren't exactly an angel, but you aren't fully a... never mind, it's too much effort to explain. But your expressions are telling me you don't know anything about your true identity. Very interesting." He mischievously smirked, walking ahead by himself, I lightly gripped onto the ends of his blazer with my delicate fingertips, taking him by surprise. He turned around and raised an eyebrow.

"Curious are you Jackson?" He tilted his head, clearly enjoying my lack of knowledge.

"You know I am," I spat out, looking up at him, he opened his mouth, making me expect something useful to come out. "We're going to be late to school," he smiled, leaving me dumbfounded as he headed off on his own. We made it into school, eyes staring at me as always, but this time it was because for the first time in a year, I wasn't walking alone. I hated this attention, I should keep my distance from him, in school at least.

I made my way to first period. I couldn't enjoy lessons anymore since I knew that living version of a headache would sit beside me in every subject. Taehyung would constantly stare at me during lesson time and I knew he wanted attention from me, and I just wasn't going to give him it.

lunch time

I walked to the canteen and sat at the table I always did all alone. Wow they're serving edible food today... I bought my lunch and started eating, minding my own business. "OYE JACKSON."

Fuck off.

My peaceful time is ruined already. The whole school froze what they were doing to look at Taehyung skip happily towards me, taking a seat in front of me. Like I said, he wants attention and there's no way I'm going to let him get it, so I ignored him. Like he didn't even exist, I just continued eating.

"See, being quiet and mysterious is just an act. Why do you talk to me when no ones there but can't talk to me here? Am I embarrassing you or do you not want to break character? You're an attention seeking person, c'mon I'm helping you out here, why ignore me?" He spoke in a mocking tone.

Apparently the only way to get me to talk to him is by provoking me into doing so, and it almost worked again just like yesterday. I opened my mouth about to reply due to the immense amount of rudeness this boy spews. But I closed it again after realising everyone in the canteen was all ears.

Annoyed that he failed, he tried another method, he grabbed my chocolate milk, looking at it intently as if he'd never seen one before. "Allora's have the weirdest things," he spoke.

The fuck is an allora...

"Italians use it as a filler word in sentences, in the magic world that's what we call humans. Long story short, we use it in the sense that, this is our world, and humans are just fillers, therefore the name allora," he told me. In conclusion they call humans useless, how kind. He took off the straw and inserted it into the carton about to take a sip.

"That's mine."

"OH SO NOW YOU DECIDE TO SPEAK."

He suddenly raised his voice, in disbelief that all it took was him stealing a little box of milk from me to get me to speak. At this point everyone had gone back to minding their own business, and the canteen became loud as usual.

"Anyways, I haven't had this before, be kind and let me have it," he said, I shook my head, reaching for the milk. He stood up putting the milk at a height he knew I couldn't reach. "Fuck off Kim, just gimme my milk," I sighed, he started scanning the carton before looking back at me. "I don't see your name on it," he stuck his tongue out.

"And who does that?"

"Does what?"

"Put their name on a carton of milk."

I calmly spoke, yanking down his arm so I could take the milk out of his hands. "You know, I really don't like you," he rolled his eyes while pouting like a little kid. "Join the club." We sat in silence for a bit, until yet again, Taehyung just had to say something.

"There's something I'm curious about." He got up, shuffling to my side of the table as he rested his chin on his hand. "I've heard so much about you and it's just, I can't help but wonder if the rumours of your power are true. You're meant to be really fucking powerful, I just want to see your powers in action, it can be a simple spell, literally anything." He said, staring deep into my eyes.

"What do you mean you've heard about me? I've never been to the magic world, how could you have heard about me? Or anything to do with my powers?" I asked, extremely confused at his statement. He shook his head chuckling, "you really know nothing about yourself huh."

"If I did I wouldn't ask so many questions now would I?" I raised an eyebrow, he scoffed before crossing his arms. "What's in it for me?" He raised a fairly good question. "Uhm, I'll show you my magic?" I unsurely said. He clapped and got excited, "there's not much I can tell you right now, it's a long story, but I guess I could tell you the bare minimum." He fixed his tie before leaning in to my ear.

"Every magical person knows your name, whether it be the witches, wizards, angels, demons or even the elves. You're famous there. Practically an A list celebrity. You're known as the girl who..." He paused, hesitating in pure pity as he looked me in the eyes.

"Shouldn't have lived."
