better?

taehyung pov

She lost all energy and fell, of course I caught her in my arms. She hadn't fainted but she was close to losing all consciousness. Her hands had fallen beside her, they were full of blood, the blood that was leaking from her stomach. I quickly brought her inside and laid her on my bed, switching on the light.

I hesitantly tugged at her shirt, "I'm dying right now and you have the audacity to feel fucking shy?" She complained as she groaned in pain. I took out the medic box, every dorm has one in case of emergencies. I lifted up her shirt to reveal the wound on her stomach.

"It's not that deep, you'll be fine once I disinfect and close the wound with some stitches." I told her, making her grab my wrist. "Wait you? You're gonna- do stitches?" She looked quite the most scared. "You're 'dying' and you're worried about me doing a couple of stitches? Really?" I mocked her, taking out the disinfectant.

"You're telling me there's no spell for healing?" She shut her eyes as I gently dabbed on the cotton of disinfectant on her wound. "There is but- it's too much effort to explain," I spoke lazily, quickly finishing up with the cleaning.

"Here," I handed her something to bite down on for the pain she would feel for the stitches. "I don't need it..." she tiredly pushed away my hand. "Alright then, I'm starting," I sighed, pushing in the needle. "FUCK," she yelled, grabbing my other hand as she dug her nails into me. "Stay still idiot," I moved her hand off, shoving a herb in her mouth so it would help with the pain. It ended with a whole lot of screaming, she'd definitely need a syrup for that throat.

"Get up, I need to put the bandage around your entire waist, it'll stay better." I told her, helping her by sliding my arm round her waist, standing her up since it would hurt if she sat down, the pressure would go straight to the wound.

She awkwardly grabbed my shoulders as I lifted her shirt again, leaning in a little close so I could get the bandage all around. "Ehem," she coughed, "don't get all hot and bothered, I'm just securing it darling." I teased, finally finished with everything. "Ugh there's blood on my shoulders- is your hand bleeding too, god you've gotta explain the who what and why," I shook my head, cleaning off her hands.

"It was the nefarious, I think the leader," she told me, making me stop and look at her. "That's not possible, they're banned, the barrier would've stopped them from entering the ED." I explained, "well I've gotta say your barriers are extremely shitty then," she said. "He told me he'd be back when the colour of my blood changes, that means they're all waiting for my powers to activate... doesn't it."

She looked so concerned, but not for herself, it didn't look like she feared them because they might do something to her. But because of what they could make her do, to the world. I helped her rest on my bed properly.

"What about you? You didn't go home for Christmas, I thought you were a family guy." She faked a petty smile, I knew she was talking about what she had found out earlier in the day, "Jackson I'm sorry, ok. Please can we just, forget about it. My families out of town, we have family friends in the wizarding world. They left me as a punishment for making a clone while I ran off to earth, professor Zimbless really doesn't keep her mouth shut." I shook my head.

"A bit harsh of a punishment, you're missing out on Christmas," she tilted her head, "so are you," I replied. "It's different, I don't wanna go to some royal party where all eyes would be on me," she said. "Well my punishment isn't over, I have to go volunteer at Krim on the 27th, it's a prison centre. Apparently scaring the shit out of me by showing me prisoners like century old vampires and wolves would teach me to not go against rules," I rolled my eyes.

"All of this because you spent a week on earth? Jeez," she said. "Well my mother likes to keep me in check," I shrugged.

"I guess we'll be spending Christmas alone then," she sighed, "at least we'll have each other," I said, making her pause and look at me. "What?" "Nothing." She shook her head and shrugged, releasing an extremely slight smile. "I didn't mean what I said, I don't hate you," she looked everywhere but my eyes, "I know, you love me don't you." I spoke sarcastically making her roll her eyes at my words, smiling shortly after.

"Anyways, take care, that wound isn't going to heal if you don't sleep." I told her, putting the blanket over her, as I took over one of the other beds in the dorm.

jewel pov - next morning

I took countless pain relievers for the wound, Taehyung had stitched it up pretty well, surprisingly well. Not that I doubted him, but yeah I guess I definitely had my doubts. When I woke up he wasn't in the room so I assumed he was probably showering. I didn't have the energy to get up and wash my face, I just sat there with a blank notebook and a pen, overthinking about stuff I really shouldn't give a fuck about.

"Uh, Jackson, you have some presents," Taehyung walked in wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. "Not a word," he warned me, helping me stand up. I took his help to go down the stairs, finding the grand Christmas tree of the school, with a bunch of presents, wrapped in purple wrapping.

"Merry Christmas Azriel," I knew it was from my dad, my mother really couldn't care less about Christmas or even me at that. "I keep forgetting who your parents are," Taehyung chuckled beside me, surprised at all of the things. Most of them were clothes, but then one, I opened it and noticed a phone.

"YAY," I wanted to jump in happiness but the wound restricted me from doing so. "I'm glad you like it," Taehyung crossed his arms proudly. "Wait you...?" I raised my eyebrow, "me and Nova put together our money for it," he smiled, patting my head. "I didn't get you anything," I felt bad, he snapped his fingers making a mistletoe appear, making me surprised at his bold action. "You could give me something now," he shrugged mischievously. I just froze not knowing how to, uhm, politely say no. "RELAX I'M MESSING WITH YOU," he bursted into laughter.

"You didn't seriously think I'd want to kiss you?" he snapped again making the mistletoe disappear. "You and your weird jokes," I shook my head. We sat in front of the fire place, enjoying the peace and quiet we managed to get from the school being empty.

"You know, I think there's some booze in the heads office." Taehyung whispered, "it's locked." I shortly replied, "yeah that's the fun part," He pulled me up as we jogged towards the office looking like absolute idiots, but we couldn't run properly. I mean I couldn't because of the wound and he was pulling me so you get the point.

I looked around as if there was actually someone in the school, we just had to be cautious. "Open sesame," I heard him mutter, I turned around to see him use his blue light, "please don't tell me that's actually the spell for opening doors," I looked at him questionably which made him laugh.

"Of course it's not I'm just having a little fun," he said, before taking a step back, "excemptra," he whispered, quickly turning around to cover me entirely with his body, as we heard the lock explode. "You ok?" He looked down, flashing me that box smile, for someone who was terrified of merely lifting up my shirt, he sure keeps getting dangerously close to my face.

We went inside, as he went through a bunch of cupboards, pulling out a bottle of wine, "our old man likes it fancy," he chuckled, closing up the cupboards as we left the room. "He might not notice the wine missing since he has so many, but what are we going to do about the lock?" I raised my eyebrow, "I'm hurt that you underestimate me this much," he said, "rectify," his blue light appeared again as the chains were back to how they were before.

"Nothing like underage drinking," I said, as he poured me a glass before drinking straight from the bottle. "Not long left till we can, no difference," he shrugged. It wasn't the first time I had drunk, Seojun was quite fond of breaking the rules too. I remember we stole some alcohol off of Heon's mum and sat on the roof getting drunk.

"You seem like you've gotten drunk before, a bad girl are you?" Taehyung tilted his head. "Oh I'm very bad, didn't you know?"

I knew my limit, and stopped Taehyung from drinking more since I didn't want him drunk. I left him in the boys dormitory, and returned to the girls one, since if everyone returned tomorrow and saw me in the boys room with the boy who reeked of alcohol because he dropped some on himself. It would stir rumours.

Next day

Everyone returned to the school, going back to classes as usual. I went straight to the heads office to tell him about the shit that happened in his absence.

"Glad you're ok, but I hope you know what that means. Every known nefarious member is banned, them even touching the barrier would burn them to ash." Professor Zeke said, "so that persons sort of an undercover member, and isn't banned, meaning I'm in danger even here," I rubbed my eyes. "For the time being yes, we will try our best to find him on the cameras." He assured me before crossing his arms with a weird smile.

"So, how was the wine?"
