Star Tear Disease is a fictional illness born from one-sided love in which the victim cries stars. These stars are colored tears; similar to glass, and are incredibly painful. Often, there is a sound that accompanies these tears. 

Untreated, the victim turns color blind and may eventually lose all sight. It may also lead to memory loss. However, the disease can be prevented when the beloved returns their romantic feelings, but the damage already done is irreversible.
