This idea first came to me when my daughter asked about her father. I told her, it didn't work out. I can't remember the exact words I said to her, but she replied, "Oh! So he flickered."

That's when the idea hit me.

It's true isn't it?

Some people come into our lives, not able to stay long enough to say you shared something deep... But you did.

People make an impact whether we we're with them for a brief moment or a life time.

I guess it's true. It doesn't matter how long you've been with someone. What matters is how strong an impact they made in your life.

I wish I could have given it a happy ending. However, that is not the point of the story. What I wanted to show, was the impact of the brief encounter they had and the lasting effect it had on Elena.
