[Chapter 39: Camp Visit]
"Need our help? Why...?" Penny stopped attempting to fight Michael and decided to focus on what you were saying instead; the clown now placing either side of his hands against the tree behind you with a playful grin spreading across his face.
"Well..." Taking a deep breath, you sighed back out and chose to just tell them the truth - wondering how they would even take it. "I just thought Jason - from Camp Crystal Lake - should know about my whole "unwanted admirer" situation, y'know?"
"Why him...?" Pennywise laughed; half from disbelief and half from bewilderment. "From what I recall, that weak Earthling was nothing more than just that. Besides, all he did was swing that machete around and throw a childish tantrum, over...over you."
"He has a right to know." You stubbornly defended, raising your eyebrows and trying your best not to become aggravated. "Anyway, he could be a useful asset to catching those unwanted admirers! He could...He could protect me while I'm visiting Camp Crystal Lake too."
"We can protect you just fine here!" Pennywise argued in response, his golden gaze narrowing after hearing your kindhearted answer.
"ᐯOOᖇᕼEEᔕ ᕼᗩᔕ TᕼE ᗰIᑎᗪ Oᖴ ᗩ ᑕᕼIᒪᗪ ᗩᑎᗪ YOᑌ ᕼᗩᐯE AN ᑌᑎᗯᗩᑎTEᗪ ᗩᗪᗰIᖇEᖇ Oᑎ TᕼE ᒪOOᔕE. YOᑌ'ᖇE GOIᑎG ᕼOᗰE. ᑎOᗯ." [A/N: "VOORHEES HAS THE MIND OF A CHILD AND YOU HAVE AN UNWANTED ADMIRER ON THE LOOSE. YOU'RE GOING HOME. NOW."] Michael wrote to you obsessively, his messy scrawl showing you exactly how he felt.
"You can even enter the camp with me after you've escorted me there, m'kay?" Suppressing a groan, you made a compromise and pushed yourself away from Penny's possessive hold; the clown surprised by your sudden burst of courage.
"Excuse me? And just WHO said we'd let you go, huh missy?" Penny grinned darkly, shifting over to his shadow-self while he slowly lost control.
"I ᗯOᑌᒪᗪᑎ'T ᗷOTᕼEᖇ. OᑎᑕE (Y/ᑎ)'ᔕ ᗪEᑕIᗪEᗪ Oᑎ ᔕOᗰETᕼIᑎG, ᔕᕼE'ᒪᒪ ᗪO IT. ᑎO ᗰᗩTTEᖇ ᗯᕼᗩT. I'ᗪ ᒍᑌᔕT GO ᗯITᕼ IT." [A/N: "I WOULDN'T BOTHER. ONCE (Y/N)'S DECIDED ON SOMETHING, SHE'LL DO IT. NO MATTER WHAT. I'D JUST GO WITH IT."] Michael shoved his notepad straight into Pennywise's face - the clown cursing a minute later and realising that Myers' sudden warning was true.
"I said I could go." You sharply retaliated, crossing your arms and eyeing them both down. "So either you two accompany me to Camp Crystal Lake, or so help me I'll visit Jason alone. What'll it be...?"
"ᖴIᑎE. ᗷᑌT I'ᗰ ᑎOT ᕼᗩᑭᑭY ᗩᗷOᑌT IT." [A/N: "FINE. BUT I'M NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT."] Michael responded resentfully, his dark-eyes glistening with frustration after he wrote said message down.
"Penny...?" Once you called the clown's name, your glance flickered over to him for a split second - not knowing what his reaction would be, or how he'd answer.
"...Fine. What do I care if those stalkers learn your whereabouts...?" Pennywise shrugged uncaringly, clenching his fists before vanishing into midair.
"He's not really that mad at me...is he...?" You anxiously asked Michael, starting to walk in the direction of Crystal Lake so you could socialise with Jason a little bit.
"ᕼE ᗯᗩᔕ ᑎEᐯEᖇ ᗰᗩᗪ ᗩT YOᑌ. ᕼE'ᔕ ᗩᑕTIᑎG ᗩᔕ ᔕTᑌᗷᗷOᖇᑎ ᗩᔕ KᖇᑌEGEᖇ ᗯᕼEᑎ IT ᑕOᗰEᔕ TO ᖴᗩᑕIᑎG ᕼIᔕ ᖴEEᒪIᑎGᔕ. TᕼEY'ᖇE ᗷOTᕼ ᗷEᕼᗩᐯIᑎG ᒪIKE ᑕᕼIᒪᗪᖇEᑎ." [A/N: "HE WAS NEVER MAD AT YOU. HE'S ACTING AS STUBBORN AS KRUEGER WHEN IT COMES TO FACING HIS FEELINGS. THEY'RE BOTH BEHAVING LIKE CHILDREN."] Michael wrote down bluntly, not holding anything back and instead just telling you the truth, 100%.
"Oh, because you're so mature yourself." You sarcastically commented, elbowing his side whilst you continued walking along the forest's hiking trail. "You act just like a little kid too."
Michael remained silent, not even bothering to scribble down an answer or argue with your statement by that point. Did he agree? Or did he just not care enough to fight back? For once, you couldn't tell. Gripping your backpack, you kept walking - wondering where Jason might be. By the lake perhaps...? By one of the cabins...? Somewhere in the woods...? Biting your lip, you threw Michael a bewildered look and prayed that he knew what you were worried about. Luckily for you, the pale-faced male's eyes stared into your own before he nodded - almost as if the stalker was on a whole other wavelength with you. It felt almost...almost magical.
"ᕼE'ᔕ ᗷY TᕼE ᑕᗩᗷIᑎᔕ. I ᗪOᑎ'T TᕼIᑎK ᕼE'ᔕ ᗩᗯᗩᖇE TᕼᗩT YOᑌ'ᖇE ᕼEᖇE TᕼOᑌGᕼ. ᗷE ᑕᗩᖇEᖴᑌᒪ." [A/N: "HE'S BY THE CABINS. I DON'T THINK HE'S AWARE THAT YOU'RE HERE THOUGH. BE CAREFUL."] Michael notified you unfeelingly - grasping your wrist straight afterwards so he could stay right by your side and keep you safe at all costs.
"Jason would NEVER—"
"(Y...Y/N)...!" Before you could argue with him, you got dragged into a massive bearhug; the person responsible twirling you around and around before snuggling into you tightly. "Y...You...c-uh...am-uh...e...b-uh...ack...! You...c-uh...am-uh...e...b-uh...ack...!" [A/N: "You...came...back...! You...came...back...!"]
"Of course I did." You smiled warmly, hugging the hockey-masked slasher in return and wrapping your arms around him. "I promised, didn't I?"
"How about this," "I'll go to my uni classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and see you on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. That seem fair...?"
"Y-uh...es-uh...! Y-uh...es-uh...! Th-uh...ank-uh...y-uh...ou...! Th-uh...ank-uh...y-uh...ou...!" [A/N: "Yes! Yes! Thank you! Thank you!"]
"There we go." "I guess I'll be seeing you on Tuesday then." ...Oh.
Jason's expression darkened; the Crystal Lake Killer clearly hurt by how you'd broken your promise. "Y-uh...ou...d-uh...idn't-uh...c-uh...ome...on-uh...T-uh...ues...d-uh...ay-uh...even-uh...ing-uh...!" He angrily complained, a hurt gaze clouding his expression as you internally panicked. "Y-uh...ou...p-uh...inky-uh...pr-uh...om-uh...ised-uh...!" [A/N: "You...didn't come...on Tuesday evening...! You...pinky promised...!"]
"Well, uh..." Hesitating, you wondered how to explain - due to the fact that not only were you exhausted that day, but you were recovering from Freddy's forceful sleep-tactics. "Freddy and the others decided that I should get some rest then...Y'know, to recover from Pennywise's...interesting approach towards me. But it wasn't intentional, I swear...!"
"S-uh...oh...It-uh...was-uh...FRED...DYS-UH...f-uh...ault-uh...!" Jason snapped furiously, blaming the dream demon right off the bat and hating on him even more. [A/N: "So it was...FREDDY'S fault...!"]
"What...!? No!" You wildly exclaimed, your eyes widening at how Jason was taking said conversation. "It's Thursday today, isn't it? So I kept my promise! Mostly..."
"B-uh...t-uh...th-uh...e...oth-uh...ers—" [A/N: "But...the others—"]
"—Did it to take care of my health." You interrupted lightly, wanting to move the conversation along and explain to Jason the current situation. "Isn't that what you would've done? Wouldn't you've done that too?"
"I...I g-uh...uess-uh..." Jason grumbled unwillingly, looking to the side whilst he hugged you even harder. [A/N: "I guess..."]
"Anyway, there's another reason why I'm visiting you." You confessed wearily - praying that he wouldn't explode, or grow overly possessive, etcetera etcetera.
"W-uh...hats-uh...wr...oh...ng-uh...?" He roughly demanded, holding you by the shoulders and looking you in the eye. [A/N: "What's wrong...?"]
"Well..."
