Day 6

Ezim

Hello Corinne

A new week begins, and we are getting closer and closer to Christmas.

Even our two heroes in space were already so close and full of great expectations, but still ... things are not that far.

A meeting place was arranged, where the lovers should get together, but what they couldn't foresee, was the long-planned future of the two, which the leader of the extraterrestrial species had thought about for them.

After nearly three hours, the astronaut rolled down the ramp of a small van, onto the gravel road. His backpack hung from the handles of his wheelchair and his guitar lay on his lap. The cab was turned back by him and Torio rumbled over the rocky surface toward the lake.

The path was sparsely lit, which made it take some effort for the blond man to make progress on the rough terrain. But the effort was worth it, because the view of the glistening surface of the water, the dark forests behind it and the infinite jet-black sky above, dotted with stars, was uniquely beautiful. He lingered for some time and let the image take effect on him. You could almost think you were on earth, the cool fresh air blew through his hair and put a smile on his lips. Only a few minutes separated him from the uncertain future and yet at this moment he wanted to be in no other place. Slowly he rolled on, closer to the shore, smelling the damp musty air around him. The earth under the thick grass was loose and his wheelchair left deep tracks in it. Stopping and deciding to wait here, he picked up his guitar and began to play a slow melody, its sound joining the rush of the wind and the gurgling sounds of the dark water. His deep voice hummed softly to it and all his senses focused on the alien he was about to meet here.

And suddenly they were there, the hotly anticipated vibrations, very strong and from all sides.

"Mori?" Harking, he looked around him. A jolt out of the blue at his chair, startled him up. Something had brushed past him and landed on the grass a little distance away.

Kazmi and his two men, who had long been on the heels of the alien, were looking astonished when they caught sight of the human being. He was supposed to be dead in his apartment, at least that was the assumption of the two companions of the commander, who was once again surprised at the toughness of his future son-in-law. He was dreading his next actions. Hichan had warned his father that it would not be easy to deceive everyone, but it was the only and safest way not to be suspicious.

"Who is it? ... Mori?" asked Torio, now a good deal louder. The hunched figure moved, trying to get off the spot. The astronaut wasn't sure, and all at once the addressed raised his head slightly but was immediately pushed back down by an invisible force.

"T... Torio ..." As if it were a summons, the Russian placed his instrument on the damp earth and rolled toward the curved body, still not sure to recognize his alien in it.
"Yes ... yes, I ... aaahhh," the hoarse voice sobbed, whimpering in pain. "I ... I'm ... so sorry." A yelp rang through the silence and the curled-up body jerked as if receiving powerful electric shocks. "To ... Toriooo ... no!" That was the last thing to be heard from Mori. With all his might, the blond dove at his wheels, but was abruptly stopped. As if someone had blocked the wheelchair. Only a few meters were left and now Torio could make out the alien's feelers dangling towards him. For a brief moment, the lovers' eyes met, and Mori began to glow. The flames seemed to literally consume him until Kazmi put an end to it. He could no longer bear to see his son suffer so. Despite the harshness and stubbornness from Mori, this situation brought the father to the brink of despair. He had to separate them once more, as soon as possible, otherwise all would be lost. There was no time for sentimental emotion.

Invisible orders were given and executed; every action precisely calculated. The astronaut tried to move forward, but it was impossible. Something was holding him back.

"What's going on here? Mori! What's happening to you?" The human's last hope was to lift himself out of the chair and crawl forward, but as he leaned forward, he also felt the resistance on his chest. "Mori! I can't move forward, what should I do?" He got no more response as the alien in front of him slowly faded, its antennae retracted, and the figure slumped.

"No. Don't leave me...Mor..." The tremendous impact squeezed the air from his lungs and hurled the man in the wheelchair back to the shore. The backpack fell onto the grass while Torio toppled over the edge of the bank, lost his balance and tumbled down. The dark, almost black, ice-cold water greedily swallowed him up and the initial shock left Torio floating as if lifeless. Of course, he could swim and when he regained his senses, he surfaced. All traces were obliterated. His backpack, the guitar and even the deep impressions, of the wheelchair in the damp earth, as if by magic eliminated.

His beloved alien was also gone, only pitiful cries and screams could be heard from afar. The further away they got, the colder the water seemed to the swimmer. His legs, which weren't doing what he wanted anyway, hung down clammily and even his strong arms were slowly tiring. Instead of paddling ashore, an unnatural current pulled him further and further into the middle of the lake. Small clouds of steam rose from the exhausted man's mouth and his gaze turned upward, into the endless starry sky. A tender smile played around his lips.

"Yes, I do," he whispered the words like a promise, loving and happy. Tears that could no longer be counted ran down his wet bluish cheeks. With the last of his strength, he reared up out of the water.

"I love you, Mori ... can you hear me? ... I love you!" The loud echo of his voice, seemed to taunt him for as he disappeared into the depths, the words still rang in his ears. He was ready to let go. His life was over, finished ... gone. Almost solemnly, he closed his eyes, his perception blurring with the tides in the depths. The last thought was of his first and only love. The full lips, he could literally feel them, tender and soft and when he opened his mouth for the last time, he tasted the bittersweetness, like dark chocolate.

The powerful stream of air that passed through the astronaut at the same moment filled his lungs with vital oxygen. In a flash, Torio's eyes snapped open in shock, and all he saw in front of him was red!

And again, Hichan was on the spot.
