It's the day before break starts. I'm walking through the hall and I hear idiots chanting "Fight!" "Fight!" "Fight!" So I go over to see what is going on. Marcos and I think Dan is his name are in the center of the crowd. And Marcos looks ready to kill. "Hey Marcos!" I say to my so-called friend. I'm only 'friends' with him because he's friends with my friend Aiden somehow. He's too mean for Aiden. Anyway Marcos turns to me and says, "Did you see what Dan here did" I shake my head no. Marcos walks out of the circle towards me. When Marcos isn't paying attention I mouth "run" to Dan and he doesn't even think about it. Then Marcos tells me some lie that Dan looked at his girlfriend in a perverted way. Then he goes on about how pretty his girlfriend is and forgets about Dan. Its as if those last five minutes didn't happen. I wave goodbye as he goes to his class and I go to the library as its lunch and I saw Dan run there to get away. I have to make sure he's ok.
*Three hours Later*
The last bell just rang and I go to my locker. I have no homework at all. I see Marcos and Dan again. Dan was fine after the 'fight' but I see the look Marcos is giving Dan and so I shout "Stop Marcos. Don't fight him." He thinks about it and Dan starts increasing speed. He shrugs it off. I saved this kids life twice. He must be greatful he doesn't have to fight Marcos. I catch up to him and he walks faster. "Stop." I say and he does. "Why did you do that for me, again?" He asks. "Trust me it's better then fighting him." I feel guilty. "Thank you so much Phil." Then he walks off into the street. I smile, I feel happy.
