When we made it home, Sadie ran up to us and asked us about the baby. We had told her there was a miscarriage, and that we named her Jillian Alicia Hood.

"That's pretty. I like that," she smiled, "but I was sort of excited to be an aunt."

"Yeah.. The guys were excited to be uncles. You still are, it's just that your niece is dead," I pointed out.

"Oh. And you guys are parents, but your baby is just dead.." Sadie smiled back at me.

"WHAT!?" I heard a yell. It was mum from behind me.

"What did Sadie just say about a baby?" Dad asked.

"Uh, nothing. We were just talking about the future," I tried to cover us up.

"No, no, no.. Those were present tense verbs I heard, not future tense. Fess up. There's something about the baby being dead.. First of all, what baby?" Mum looked at me sternlay, apparently very mad at me.

"Well.. I was pregnant.." I started and by my mum's face, you could tell she was shocked, "then I had a miscarriage, and I was fourteen weeks along, so I had to deliver. I didn't want to tell you about it because I knew how you'd react. I mean, I lost the baby to stress, most likely over not telling you guys."

"Skylar.. You know our rules. I got pregnant at your age, and your dad left me, no blame to you, Oliver.." Mum looked at Dad.

"Oh, it's okay. I know what I did.." Dad's head fell.

But anyways, that could've happened to you, Skylar. If you guys are going to do anything, be careful and use protection, I'm telling you!"

"We did, though. We have no idea what happened. I was thinking there was a hole in the condom.. Plus, Calum would never leave me when I get pregnant. He didn't this time, did he?" (A/N: Plot twist: he does leave her... Haha jk)

"Well, no.." Mum seemed defeated.

"See. He's a great boyfriend. He would've been a great dad.. Even look at this," I got out my phone and showed her our texts, like the ones after the first ultrasound, "omg the first ultrasound" and "Sky that's my baby there oh my god😘☺️😍😉😃😊😌".

"Wow.. You were really excited, weren't you, Calum? You were excited to be a daddy," mum smiled at my excited boyfriend.

"Yeah. I was.. But I am a daddy. I'm Jillian's daddy," Calum pointed out.

"Yes you are.. That's what you named her, right?" Dad wondered.

"Jillian Alicia Hood," I repeated her name.

"That's beautiful. Plus, I'm sorry that you guys lost her. I would've been delighted to be a grandma."

"Thanks mum. Well, Calum, I guess we should go to your house and tell your parents.."

"Yeah," he agreed.

"Bye mum, bye dad," I yelled, walking out of the house and over to Calum's house.

When we walked in to Calum's house, Joy came rushing up to us. She was smiling, but I knew she wasn't going to be smiling for long. She was going to be mad at us soon, really mad.

"Hey guys.. How are you, Skylar?" She looked over at me.

"I'm okay, I guess. Today has been a crazy day. Calum, do you want to explain?" I answered her and asked Calum.

"Sure.. Well, um, a little before I left from tour, I had gotten Skylar pregnant so she would be about fourteen weeks right now, but we lost the baby to stress through a miscarriage but she still had to deliver our baby girl," Calum said as fast as he could.

"YOU WHAT!?" She almost screamed.

"Yeah.. I'm sorry, mum," Calum apologized.

"Oh my god.. Calum Thomas Hood, you get up into your room right now. You're grounded."

"No, no... Joy, you don't understand. First, it was my idea, plus we did use protection, there must've just been a hole in the condom. Secondly, we lost the baby. I had a miscarriage."

"Oh.. Guys, I'm so sorry. Why didn't you tell me about the pregnancy earlier!? Didn't you say you lost the baby to stress? I could've helped you not be so stressed! I could've helped you with the part of the pregnancy you had too.. You really should've told me.."

"Sorry mum. We were just worried you'd flop out, like you just did."

"I might've, but I would've understood. I would've been happy that I was becoming a grandma!"

"Thanks, mum, for understanding.."

"You're welcome.. I love you."

"I love you too, mum. I'll still be over at Sky's."

"Okay. See you later."

"Fine mum.. Bye."

We began to walk back over to my house, and I thought about what had just happened. I thought that would've been harder than it was..
