The next day, February 22, I told my mum that I was going to an friend's house to hang out for a little bit. She was happy for me because I hadn't really hung out with a lot of friends over the summer. It was mostly Calum and the boys, or if I needed a girl to talk to, it was Sadie.

I left the house at about ten thirty in the morning and went straight to the doctors. I didn't know how hard this was going to be to hide from my mother. I wouldn't be able to for long. I would crack and tell her or blurt it out to her. I just wanted to hide it as long as I could. Hopefully that would be a while.

When I got into the room in the doctor's office, the nurse told me to lay down on the slightly elevated table. As I did, she got our equipment for the ultrasound. She placed cold gel on my stomach and began rubbing it around my stomach with the stick, then she focused her eyes on the screen.

"Well, dear, it looks like you are three weeks pregnant. Congratulations! There's a cute little blob right here which is your baby.. See?" The nurse asked.

"Yeah, I see it. It's so small but so amazing to think that there is a little human being growing inside of me right now.." I explained. I was sort of excited.

"Trust me, that's the best feeling in the world. Also, people may tell you that the pregnancy and labor are hard, but in the end, it's all worth it. I have three kids, so I know from experience."

"Thanks," I said as I pulled my shirt down, got the copies of the ultrasound from the nurse and walked out.

I decided to actually go to my friend's house so if my mum asked her about being there, she'd tell her yes. It took only a few minutes to get there, so I was there quickly. When I arrived, I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Soon after, Olivia opened the door and greeted me. She was my best friend, but I hadn't seen her much over he summer.

"Hey Skylar! I've missed you! I haven't seen you since school let out, but I've heard about what you've been doing over summer!" She exclaimed.

"You have?"

"Yeah, in magazines and it's all over the Internet about this new band called 5 Seconds of Summer going on tour with One Direction! But of course you know that because you're dating the bassist." After she finished her sentence, she motioned for me to come in.

"Yeah, plus my sister is dating the lead singer, Luke," I informed her (that's something I forgot to mention to you before).

"Yeah, I saw that too. That's awesome."

"It's really cool to be dating a band member, but he's away on tour now.."

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that."

"It's alright."

"Well, I feel mean asking this, but I know you have a reason: why'd you come here?"

"Well, I told my mum that I was going to a friend's house, but I actually went to the doctors because yesterday.. I found out I was pregnant."

"Oh my god! Really?"

"Yeah.."

"Are you excited or nervous?"

"I'm sort of both. I don't want to tell my mum because she's going to flip out. I want to hide it from her as long as possible, so please don't talk to her about it."

"I won't. You can trust me."

"Thank you so much Olivia. And if my mum asks, I came here and was here for a while, okay?"

"Got it. I still can't believe you're pregnant!"

"Me neither.. Calum is excited too. I mean, he is scared a little, but who isn't scared when they get pregnant, especially for the first time or when they're a teenager? I think he'll be a great dad."

"Me too. He seems amazing. You'll have to introduce us next time he's home."

"I will. Okay, Livi, see you later.." I said, walking out of her house.

"Bye Skylar. See you when school starts... Or hopefully before?"

"Probably before. I'll keep you updated on the pregnancy, okay?"

"Okay. Bye."

I walked off on the front steps and towards my car. I got in and drove away to get home and tell Calum about what I found out today.

About ten minutes later, I was home. I walked up the stairs and into Sadie's room. She was lying on her bed on her phone. I slid a copy of the ultrasound between her arms and her chest so she would see it. She looked at me with a puzzled look. Once she put her phone down, she was able to take a closer look at it. Her face turned into a shocked face.

"You're not-"

"I am," I informed her.

"Skylar, mum is going to kill you!"

"Not if we don't tell her," I looked sternly at her, hoping she'd get the message.

"Okay. I won't tell her. You will need to sometime."

"I know. I'm going to wait as long as I can though."

"Okay. You can trust me with this, Skylar.."

"Thank you so much Sadie," I hugged her to thank her.

I had her take a picture of me holding up the ultrasound copy. I was sending it to Calum. When I did, he responded "omg the first ultrasound". I sent him a closer picture of it and he replied with "Sky that's my baby there oh my god😘☺️😍😉😆😊😌". I thought it was so cute how excited he was to see his baby. This was another reason why I loved him so much.
