Telling Ssundee

Jason's POV

I wanted to jump for joy when Sky and Mitch walked out of that forest, smiling and laughing with each other.

They had made up, which the best thing the rest of us could ask for.

"So, I take it you guys made up?" I question.

In answer, Sky nods his head. Ty grins and runs over to him, almost knocking him over with a hug.

"Don't ever fight again, you guys. You scared me."

Sky smiled down at the small kid, and I knew, just like I always do when Sky and Ty are together, that nothing will tear them apart. If they aren't best friends for the rest of their lives, I don't know if any of us will be.

I snap out of my thoughts, and focus back to the matter at hand.

"Guys, don't mean to break up the bromance, but we've got a situation here." I gestured toward the passed-out Ssundee on the ground.

"Oh, yeah. Who wants to carry his head?" Sky joked.

It took a while, but with all of us helping, we somehow got Ssundee back to the house with only three drops: one landing on his elbow, another his foot, and the last we dropped him on his head. Oops.

We dropped him on his bed and all collapsed into chairs.

"When he wakes up, I'm going to suggest that he goes on a friggen diet." Jerome muttered.

"Please do. My arms are about to fall off." Mitch complained.

I took a deep breath, and brought up the old subject. I didn't really want to talk about it after what just happened, but we needed to resolve it.

"So...should we tell him?"

Mitch swallowed. "I still go by what I said earlier." He turned around and didn't say another word, probably afraid to stir up another fight.

Sky stood. "You know what? I agree with Mitch."

Everyone stared, and Mitch turned back around.

"What? He makes a good point. Telling could be beneficial." He says, then sits down.

Ty pipes up. "I'm with Sky."

"Me too." Jerome finally speaks.

I pause for a moment, unsure of what to say. "Well then," I start. "I guess we're telling him."

After a long four hours of waiting, which included watching t.v., eating steak, and playing Catch the Coal-which is a game that involves throwing a piece of coal to people and trying to not let it hit the ground-Jerome elbowed me in the stomach. Hard.

"Ow!" I yelped, but I noticed Jerome pointing to something.

I turned towards it and saw Ssundee wide awake, sitting up. Oh geez.

I stood there in shock for a while. I wasn't expecting him to wake up for a little bit longer.

I was about to turn and alert the others, who were still preoccupied with Catch the Coal, when he spoke.

"Wha....What the Nether happened?"

Every single one of them turned towards Ssundee, and the chunk of coal dropped at Ty's feet, completely forgotten.

I looked over at Sky. "Do you want to do the honors?" I asked. He gulped and shook his head.

Ssundee had fear practically written on his forehead. "What 'honors'? You're not going to kill me, are you?"

"No, no way!" I replied, and he seemed to stop freaking out.

"We actually have something to tell you, and it's really important." I told him.

"I'll tell him." Mitch said.

Mitch's POV

I don't want Jason to have to tell him, he looks so uncomfortable about it. I brought up the idea, I should be the one to tell him.

"You have some sort of....disease?" I looked towards Jason for some sort of answer.

"Sickness." He corrected. "Not disease."

"Right, sickness." I tried again. "Umm, it apparently makes you think that you're reliving moments from your past. You'll also see other people, but you won't see them as them, you'll see them as others from that memory. Did I get that right?"

I looked to Jason again, and he nodded slightly. "Yep. That's right."

Ssundee looked as if he had just had a staring contest with an Enderman. "Is that dangerous?" He asked with a shaky voice.

Jason took over for me. "If you see the people around you as friends, no. But if you see them as enemies, yes."

"Have I hurt anyone yet?" Everyone immediately stared at the floor, including me.

"Have. I. Hurt. Anyone. Yet?" He asked again, more slowly.

Sky looked up slowly. "You tried to kill me a few days ago."

Ssundee's shoulders slumped. After a long period of silence, he spoke up again. "I think I know why I tried to kill you, Sky."

Everyone looked straight at him.

"I've been keeping a big secret from you guys."
