(Authors note my grandad didn't fight that much in 1941 he was in a support squad in North Africa)

15 July 1942
"AHHH ITS SO FUCKING HOT"as corporal Thompson kept saying the sergeant then said "shut up the Germans have sniper positions all around here" Tommy got his binoculars out and looked at the sandy plain all of a sudden he saw a flash and shouted "SNIPER!!!!"a bullet went through a privates neck but he was still alive medics tried to save him but he died as the 3rd medic got there Tommy got is lee Enfield with a scope on and shot where the flash was he and his squad ran up to where the flash was finding the bullet had went through his scope into his eye "great shot private Parker" the sergeant rubbed his back all of a sudden coming down a massive sand dune were 15 panzer tanks with troops behind them everyone got on to the artillery guns and fired Tommy and the corporal got on to a MG (machine gun) and started shooting bullets sawed down the German troops it was going their way until a bullet went throw his head all of a sudden a German jumped on top of Tommy trying to stab him with a knife Tommy punched him and got his Webley revolver out and shot him in the leg and said in German no mercy and Tommy pulled out his knife and stabbed him in the stomach and kicked his face that made him go backwards Tommy then looked out to the battle field to find every German solider was dead and the last 4 tanks retreated "did that just happen" said the sergeant" we made them retreat " he said again

A few days later the Germans surrendered and Tommy went back home again for a couple of months
