Young SetoMarry Oneshot

Pro at titles, heh. Technically a oneshot, but I added more description since I can't describe while writing my oneshots. (FUN FACT: All my stories are actually long oneshots. I barely edit them! :D) I used Google translate for the Japanese word (s) I don't know that much Japanese, Gome ne ;-; And I made up Marry's favorite book, lol. I also made up Marry being oblivious for some reason. Guess she had two hours of sleep that night?
(^-^;)(\ (I know she's not that oblivious. I said this was a oneshot, so I'm trying not to change too many things.)

Anyways, on to the story:

Marry sighs, reading a book while drinking some herbal tea. The book she is reading she has re-read at least one hundred times. It kind of gets boring in this forest all alone...

Though that boy who found her in the forest should be coming back soon to play. She honestly can't wait. It's her first friend, and human to actually be nice to her.

She almost spilled her herbal tea from just thinking about it. She shakes her head, dropping the book by accident. It made a loud thud, and made Marry jump. This made Marry chuckle to herself.

Mama, please don't be mad at me. I'm sure you would of wanted this choice anyways...right? Marry thought, still lightly chuckling. You would only hear it if you were right next to her. She then heard a knock.

"O-Oh! Coming, j-just hang on a second!" Marry called to the knocker, who answered with an, "Okay!"

Marry gets up to walk to the door. When Marry opens the oak wood door, a bit chipped from age, she greets a young boy, presumably seven or eight. "Good day, Kozakura!"

"Ah! Good day to you too, Kousuke," Marry says with a tiny bow.

"Haha, how are you today?"

"I'm doing fine, thank you for asking!" Marry lightly smiles, "Oh, what game do you want to play?"

The young boy smiles back. "I'm doing fine too, and your welcome," he paused after that, probably thinking. "How about...castle?"

"Ooh!" Marry sounds insterested. She's read many books about castles and Queens and things like that. Her favorite story is about the princess Ratsūnzeru. She basically sees the world like that, Kousuke being the person who saved her from enclosure.

Not like she didn't like enclosure, she really didn't mind! But Kousuke showed her there I'd more than just enclosure. Much, much more. "Sounds okay to me! Can I be the Queen?"

"Okay!" Kousuke agreed, "Sounds good! But what would you be queen of?"

Hm...What sounds like a good Queen name? What do they normally have in my fairy tales? A-Aha! I think I got...it!

"Queen of your Heart!" Marry happily states, not thinking that that title was bad in any way, but Kousuke froze. She didn't use her locking eyes, did she?

"Haha, Kozakura, pick something different, okay?" Kousuke was a little hesitant. Usually he isn't that way. Is he alright?

Nonetheless Marry asks with a pout, "Why?"

"Haha, you wouldn't understand, I don't think. Please, just pick something else?"

"Aw, okay... Uh, something close to that title?"

"How about Queen of Love? Or Queen of Fluff!" Kousuke adds the last part jokingly, and Marry smiles.

"Queen Marry of Love. Perfect!" Marry recites her title. Sounds good! "What do you think, Kousuke?"

"Well, for me it would be Queen Kozakura, because I can't exactly say your first name, but other than that, sounds cute!" Kousuke replies smiling, and Marry looks to him confused.

"Why can't you call me Marry? And why does it sound cute?"

"Because you didn't tell me otherwise," Kousuke informs, and adds, "H-Huh? I said cute? I meant cool. Sounds cool, haha."

"So it is not cute?" Marry is entirely confused. "Okay then. From this day forth, Sire Kousuke, you may call me Marry!"

"Sire Kousuke? Sounds good, Queen Marry! Then from this day forth, you can call me Seto!" Kousuke- excuse her, Seto- happily said. The way he said Marry is music to her ears, now that she knows what music is, she can make the comparison, right? "N-No! That's not what I mean at all! Just forget I said anything. It's cute and cool. Better?

"O-Oh, okay then... just cute would of been fine..."

"Ack! Stop it!" Seto hides his face in his hands for a second, but quickly stops what he was doing. So out of character...?

"What am I doing, Sire Seto?"

"G-Gah, never mind! Let's just get to the game, 'kay?"

"'Kay... but what would your title be?"

"Sire Seto, proud servant of Queen Marry of Love. Sound good?"

"Sounds perfect! Yay!" Marry pulls Seto's arm and drags him inside. "Okay, that room up there, that'll be the Queen's bedroom!"

"Got it..."

"That over there, what I call the library, will be Sire's room!"

"Okay..."

"And the table where I left my herbal tea, whoops, will be the dining hall!"

"Wow, for always being indoors, you sure know a lot about castles, do you read stories about them?" Seto asks.

"Ehehe, I guess I do read a couple...Anyways, c'mon!" Marry let's go of Seto's arm, and goes up to the room dubbed 'Queen's Bedroom.'

"Okay, what do I do, then?"

"Go to your room, Sire Seto! As Queen, I'll get the dinner set up!"

"But shouldn't the Sire do that?"

"I don't know! Let the Queen do it!" Marry smiles, and Seto nods.

"Yes, your majesty!" He adds, then looks to her, "May I go outside, Queen?"

"State your purpose, Sire!"

"A surprise for the Queen," Seto says rather in character, and Marry happily nods.

"Go ahead, Sire!" She then freezes for a couple of seconds, "Wait. Stop the game for a second?"

"Sure, what's up?"

"Don't Queens usually have Kings?"

"Ack! Uh, sometimes! But sometimes Queens rule alone. The Queen of Love can do that, right?"

"But what happened to the King?"

"How about there was never one to begin with, the heritage just made Marry the Queen. Sound good?" Seto tries to change the subject, but Marry continues.

"Okay, will there ever be a King?"

"Marry, do you even know what a King is?"

"Of course! He is the Queen's partner!"

"Which means?"

"That they're always together!"

"C-Close enough," Seto sighs.

"So Sire Seto can turn into the King, right? Right?"

"Marry-"

"That means she'll never be alone, right? Kind of like us, right??"

"Seriously, Marry, you'd be embarrassed if you knew what you were saying..."

"What exactly am I saying?"

"Okay, Marry, you know how you have a Mom and Dad?" Seto explains, and Marry stiffens a bit. "Uh, I mean, a Great Grandma and Great Grandpa?"

"I don't... I have only had a Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa..."

"Oh, okay then. Just pretend a bit, 'kay?" Marry nods. "Okay, so, you know how your Great Grandma and Great Grandpa met, right? They really liked each other-"

"Love," Marry corrected, and Seto sighs.

"Right, Loved each other, and so they got married, and had a child, which would of been your Grandma."

"But she was born from nothingness..."

"Marry, pretend here. So that's basically the same as a Queen and King. So Queen Marry would have to marry Sire Seto."

"But that means they're always together, right? So that's fine, right?"

"No, Marry, you don't understand. Gah, just never mind. It's okay," Seto pats her head, and Marry accepts it, closing her eyes with a puffed out cheek.

"What you were just doing...We're you patting my head?"

"Haha, yeah, I hope you don't mind..."

"No, not at all!"

Seto smiles, but that doesnt last for long.

"So can Queen Marry and Sire Seto get married?"

"...that's completely besides the point..." Seto sighs again. "Okay, you know what it means to be married, right?"

"Yes. You are with someone you really like. And I really like you, Seto!"

"M-M-Mary, no. No, just... no. You don't know what I mean. When you marry, you are with someone you 'love', forever."

Marry's face turns red from embarrassment, "Ohhh... B-But, can't we just pretend...?"

"I get its a made up game, Marry, but... I take these games of ours seriously. Not trying to be mean, honest, but I don't want to hug or kiss you at this point of time...Uh, I mean-" To Marry, it seems like Seto is sputtering nonsense. She tilts her head in confusion.

"This point of time?? Does that mean you would want to later? Seto, your confusing me..."

"Gah, just never mind. You know what? Please don't kill me for this," Seto leans in and gives Marry a peck on the cheek, "Th-There. That's what Sire Seto would have to give Queen Marry.

"Uwah... why'd you do that, Seto?" Marry pouts- rather cutely, Seto adds, - "But I would be lying if I said I didn't like that... One more...?"

"Marry, no. Please, no. I get your over 100 and stuff, but I'm only eight. We can't..."

"Aww, why not?"

"You...don't get it at all... can we just forget this all happened, and play the game?" Seto smiles weakly, rather out of character again.

"Okay, but Seto, are you alright? Your acting kind of out of character..." Marry asks, concerned.

"Yes, I'm fine. Please, can we play the game before my siblings text me to say I'm dead if I don't come home?"

"Oh, right...I forgot you had siblings... Okay, continue on, Sire Seto!"

"Thank you, Queen Marry!" Seto is back in his usual character, Marry notices, when he goes outside. "Be careful!" She adds with a smile only she knows about.

They played the game for a while, the gift Seto gave Queen Marry was a flower crown, her favorite."Queens got to have crowns..." he told her, so she accepted it gratefully.

After about four hours or so, Tsubomi, one of Seto's siblings, told him he had to come home right about now or else he's dead meat, along with Kano, or Shuuya as she calls him.

"The Queen gives you permission to leave," Marry tells Seto, and he nods. "Make sure you come tomorrow, or else!"

"Haha, okay, bye Queen Marry of my Heart," Seto goes up to her and gives her another peck on the cheek. "Goodbye now!"

He rushes off, and Marry stood at the doorway, dumbfounded for a bit, until her flower crown slid off her head, and into her hands. "Seto..." she said outloud, touching the place where Seto kissed her. Realizing what happened, her face turned an unatural shade.

Mama, I think I've fallen in love. He is the same kind boy that showed me the world. I want him to be by my side, forever...I know he'll disappear before me, but you found love, right? I think by that time, humans will live longer than seventy, or so I wish... But that's not the point, the point is, I've fallen in love, and I like it...Please give me a sign if this is okay or not...

A petal of a Sakura fell on Marry's hand. I take that as a yes...
