Metropolis; October 1st, 08:08 EDT

The bustling city moves the same as always, choppers can be heard flying over the high-rise buildings, cars move down the road through the busy traffic, and people walk down the sidewalks. A woman walking her dog stops when the ground starts shaking under her feet, the ground suddenly splits before her, and her dog barks as a plant rises up and grows larger.

Panic is quick to ensue in the area, people run, whether it's from buildings or their cars as the plant extends as high as the buildings and as wide as the road at its base. Suddenly three red spikes come out, opening to form gigantic flowers that quickly grab a police car and throw it into a building. Another follows quickly. The third flower goes after the woman still at its base but slams into the concrete as she runs away. It pulls harshly on the concrete, but instead of it pulling up, the plant falls down.

The plant is so massive that it stretches almost a full city block, and as the view gets further away, the source of the insight is shown to be a magic mirror.

"Lovely. Our test is a complete success." a woman's voice says smoothly. "We may proceed as planned."

"Agreed." an all too familiar male voice says through his Latvian accent. "But we've operated in shadow for too long." Count Vertigo, dressed in his regal apparel steps out of the shadows. "Time for the InJustice League to step into the light."

Beside Vertigo are six more people, some more recognizable than others.

"Admit it, you can't turn away." the Joker, though seeming calmer for a moment given his pressed deep purple suit, a green striped top with a pale orange collar, and a bright purple tie he then starts his familiar, terrifying laugh.

Behind his left shoulder is a zombie pilot- Atomic Skull- his uniform a faded green and his helmet having bright yellow accents, then a white gorilla- Ultra Humanite- with similar set up to Mallah, even with him is Poison Ivy, her skin almost as pale as the Joker's, and vines crawling up her arms and shoulders, up and on her right is a man with pointed ears, the same lightning bolt as Captain Marvel on his black suit, and a gold tie-off sash on his waist- Black Adam- highest and almost directly behind the Gorilla is a man with pointed dark hair, white pale skin, a red suit and an ornate black cape, Wotan.

Mount Justice; October 1st, 18:13 EDT

Kaldur and Robin fight hand-to-hand on the training deck, both of them are in casual wear rather than their costumes, but that doesn't stop them from working hard. Robin comes in with a kick that was aimed at Kaldur's shoulder height. The older male dodges, gaining 8pts in comparison to Robin's 4pts for his attack.

The Boy Wonder is quick to turn as soon as he touches the ground, getting close to Kaldur, and going in for a right punch that Kaldur blocks. Both of them gain 4pts for that, but Kaldur already had his right hand raised and goes for a cross that Robin ducks under, and he follows up with another, but Robin is quick into a back-handspring. Kaldur gains 14pts for his combo while Robin 10pts for his dodge and it's x2 the second his hands touch the ground.

Kaldur is quick to follow him, while both Zatara and Captain Marvel watch, the lightning man eating a bar. Both men watch with smiles.

As Kaldur gets in close he attempts a left-handed punch, that Robin blocks, and attempts to palm-heel strike, but Kaldur does his own back-handspring to make distance. Robin gains 8pts for his block, while Kaldur gains 9pts for his combo. Robin finishes his combination with a front kick to get himself 5pts more and move closer to Kaldur.

Kaldur and Robin see Yn with Megan and Artemis as fang is walking with them

You know they're a couple, right?" Robin asks quietly to Kaldur.

Kaldur smiles. "I believe I knew before they did."

Do we tell wall?" the thirteen-year-old asks.

"It's not our place." Kaldur says strongly.

Both drop the topic when the two in question get closer. "So if Zatara is our babysitter of the week, why's he still here?" Wally questions, clearly annoyed. "And why's he eating my snacks?"

Recognize:Batman; 0-2

"Computer, national news." Batman says as he walks out of the Zeta Tube, not even slowing down as he walked into the center of the room.

The initial attack was short-lived, but Metropolis was only granted a short reprieve." the TV shows the massive plant once again standing upright and attacking, a scraper already caught, then shattering before them. "And despite the intervention of Superman and the Justice League," The frame swaps to the top of the building, where two people are trapped, and just before the building shatter Superman picks them up and Hawkgirl flies onto the screen. "there seems to be no end in sight." the camera follows her as she swings her mace at the plant, a Green Lantern saw cutting it off as she flies to meet him. The two head towards the spire-like plant as Hawkman follows behind them, hacking another vine on his way.

"Should we get out there?" Robin asks excitedly.

"No. The League will soon have the situation under control." Batman informs, giving no room to argue. "That's not why I'm here. According to your Intel, Sportsmaster supplied Cadmus' Blockbuster formula to Kobra."

"Who combined it with Bane's Venom to create Kobra-Venom." Wally says.

"Which the Brain used to create his animal army." Robin spits.

"And upgrade Wolf." Conner says with a smile, petting Wolf under his chin.

The Brain also used inhibitor collars like the ones at Belle Reve penitentiary." M'gann remembers.

Artemis looks to the leader with worry. "Batman, is it possible that plant thingy's on Kobra-Venom, too?"

"I had Green Lantern run a spot analysis." the Dark Knight says as he gets a holographic keyboard in front of him. "Divine cellulose does contain trace amounts of a Kobra-Venom variant."

The cellulose cells take Sportsmaster's place and two larger cells are colored in purple while three smaller ones are colored in maroon. All five look more like deep-sea mines than cells, but as smaller screens show up and point to certain cells show the several tests that were run and how the results compare.

"These cannot be coincidences," Kaldur says. "unrelated criminals are cooperating with one another worldwide."

Robin gestures for his own holographic keyboard, typing away.

"Exactly. It's now clear our enemies have formed some kind of secret society of SuperVillains. The attack on Metropolis is only the beginning." Batman says.

"You got that right." Robin agrees, still typing away, but other pictures join the large one of Metropolis. "Plant creatures have sprouted in Gotham City, Paris, Star City, Taipei-"

All the screens cut to static, cutting off the Boy Wonder and causing Batman to turn towards the screens.

"Dude." Wally gripes.

"It's not me." Robin says, typing just as quickly as he's speaking. "Someone's cutting in the satellite signal. All satellite signals."

The image suddenly cuts back in to reveal the Joker, he taps on the camera lens, as if to get everyone's attention. "Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt your regularly scheduled mayhem to bring you this important announcement..." the Joker opens a switchblade in one hand then uses the other to turn the camera left. "From the InJustice League." The Joker laughs off-camera.

"We are responsible for the attacks on your cities." Count Vertigo starts as the camera zooms in. "If you wish to save them, a ransom of 10 billion American Dollars is required. Delivery instructions have been sent to the United Nations. There is no time limit. But the longer your governments wait..."

The Joker's gloved hand turns the camera away from the other six. "The more we get to have our... jollies." he laughs maniacally until it cuts back to static.

"Roger that, Aquaman." Batman says rather suddenly. "The UN will prepare the ransom as a fallback, but it won't come to that."

The keyboard beeps rapidly as Robin continues to type away. The video rewinds and Robin starts listing off the members with facial recognition matching them. "Count Vertigo, The Joker, Poison Ivy, Ultra-Humanite, Atomic Skull, Black Adam, Wotan. Seven heavy hitters." Probably behind nearly everything and everyone we've faced."

"There's your secret society." Wally murmurs.

"Not so secret anymore." Artemis says.

"Perhaps after India, they realized we would deduce the truth and saw no point in hiding any longer." Kaldur offers.

"Yeah. That was their mistake." Wally says brightly as he clenches his fist. "Right now I say we go kick some plant creature butt."

"The Justice League will handle the plants." Batman denies almost instantly. "I have a different job for this team."

"Oh, man." Wally whines, but grunts as Artemis hits him in the arm.

"With the plants attacking so many locations simultaneously, there must be a central

control system. Your mission is to destroy it."

"You realize what you're really asking them to do?" Zatara says as he walks up to Batman.

"They're ready."

"Ready? Ready for what?" Wally asks, only to be hit in the arm again by Artemis. "Ow! Will you cut that-"

"Hello, Wally." Artemis purposefully mimics M'gann's phrase but with more bite. "If the big guns are fighting plants, who do you think we'll be fighting?

"I don't know. I guess we'll..." he gasps as Artemis' arm jabs in front of his face. "Ohhh." he mumbles.

"Well, Batman, I trust you're correct." Zatara yields to Batman's determination and how little the Team seems daunted by the task.

"I trust you can locate the enemy."

"Indeed. Wotan's involvement suggests Sorcery is part of how the plants are controlled." Zatara turns to the Team rather suddenly. "Robin, if you will provide a HoloMap, I'll search for signs of concentrated sorcerous activity."

A holographic globe appears in the center of the training room.

Zatara steps up and raises his hands towards the globe. "Etacol retnecipe fo yrecros.

A small red dot appears on the southern part of the US. "There. That is where you will find the InJustice League's central control system."

Robin looks at the readout in front of him. "Coordinates locked in. The Louisiana Bayou."

Yn:We are on our way

The Team takes off and Captain Marvel goes to follow.

"Captain Marvel." a call from Batman stops the hero short. "For this plan to succeed, the entire Justice League must be seen fighting the plant creatures. You, Zatara, and I are needed elsewhere."

Gotham City; October 1st, 19:49 EDT

Batman is flying the BatPlane to get to the city. Going towards the large plant in the middle of the road. He presses a button to open a hatch of weed killer that he drops on the plant. As the plant corrodes away Captain Marvel lands behind the plant.

He gets a hold of the plant and grunts as he yanks it out of the ground before taking flight, out of the atmosphere and throwing it towards the sun.

Batman flies over another slew of vines with the weed killer, while Zatara is encased in a magic bubble as he casts a spell. "Erif, kees tuo siht larutannu erutaerc." Fire suddenly erupts on the vines, only for small spores to open and pop.

The fire department is overcome by the green gas. Three of them stumbling out with their hands over their mouths as they cough. Until they're suddenly laughing with demented smiles. Two fall over and laugh only occasionally.

The Joker laughs as he watches the scene play out on one of his many screens. His gloves glowing as he controls the vines. "Kobra-Venom's got nothing on good old Joker Venom."

"Both work well in concert." Vertigo admits.

"Yes," Ivy then sighs as she sits down by one of the large brown roots. "but we're putting considerable strain on my baby." as she runs her hand over it, the area near her turns green again.

Ultra-Humanite approaches the root, pressing a button on the device in his hand that causes the plant to buzz.

"Valetudo ut sero!" Wotan casts, his hands glowing orange. We will keep her healthy and safe, Ivy. But she requires more power. Skull!"

Atomic Skull stands on a platform behind Wotan, then zapping one of the small pillars on it, causing the entire plant to turn green and start to sprout.

"Stunning what a little teamwork can accomplish." Vertigo smirks.

The alarm blares.

"Intruder alert!" he snarls.
