"this is it." Robin whispered, stepping off the bio ship. "Ms. M, if you will..."

She nodded, setting up the mindlink. 'Sound off!'

'Aragon' Kaldur started.

'Boleyn' even Artemis's mind sounded tired.

'Seymour, of course.' M'gann turned her head to watch the others sound off.

'Cleaves' 

'Howard' Robin checked his screen.

'Parr.' Conner finished. 

Wally nudged the youngest team members. 'I appreciate the significance, but we need a cooler sound off.'

'Shut up, Anna.' Artemis glowered at him. 

'It's called being a feminist, KF' Robin was really proud of the sound off, even though it was be kind of embarrassing to explain. He'd told them it was just to honor the wives of Henry VIII, but then Artemis walked in on him warming up to the soundtrack from Legally Blonde. That's a story for another time...

'Let's head in.' Kaldur walked them through the plan; and easy recon mission, stay in position, don't intrude unless absolutely essential. So obviously they barged in and fucked everything up.

Robin and M'gann were on the Roof, peering through a grate. Nothing yet...

'Damn this is boring' Wally was continuously complaining.

'Well, duh, it IS a stake out!' Artemis sounded *this* close to testing if Wally's face could faze through the concrete wall. 

Robin perked up, his sensors picking up on something. 'A black SUV pulled up out front' 

'Stay hidden' the team leader reminded them.

He pressed his back against the wall as themartian camouflaged herself. About two minutes later, people started entering the building, about five of them.

'We've got guns' Artemis confirmed. 

'Everyone stay put' Kaldur repeated, knowing full well that rushing in was the first thing his teammates would do.

After the first five, who looked like guards, came a tall man in a wife beater, and a scraggly woman who was pushing someone who's head was wrapped in a pillowcase.

"Hostage..." robin exhaled the word, quickly switching back to the  mindlink. 'Guys, the bosses are here, they're tying someone to a chair.'

Kaldur repeated yet again that they NEEDED to stay put. Artemis complained that she didn't need the reminder.

The people were speaking now, too quiet for the team to hear.

'SB, we could use that Super hearing..." the blonde pestered.

'What do you hear?' M'gann asked.

Conner finally responded. 'The guy's saying that it's the last time the guy in the bag will double cross him.... he says he knows the guy must be snitching cause all three of the past operations have been shut down..."

There was an order, and the scraggly Woman pulled off the hood and the hostage was revieled to be a black-haired man in his mid-twenties.

"No.." Robin muttered.

The woman pressed a huge hunting knife against his throat. The man shifted, as if about make some strenuous movement.

"No!" In a second, several smoke bombs exploded around the parking garage. 

"Robin, what-" M'gann uttered, watching the tween tear off the grate and drop about fifteen feet into the building.

Dick hadn't thought this through, he was running on adrenaline. He started trying to take down the fully armed guards. He'd taken down all four in a few minutes.

'Robin, what's happening?'

The smoke was starting to clear already, Robin darted for the hostage, only to be pulled back. There were five guards.

The fifth guard held him fast, he tried to struggle, but the man was huge. "Sarah." He grunted, the scraggly woman emerged from the clearing fog.

"A kid." She barked. "Easy enough..." She jerked out a 24 caliber, and cocked it.

'Everyone stay back!' Kaldur ordered, unsure of how to proceed. But there was one thing he knew, 'No sudden movements-'

"Rob!" Wally sprinted in, skidding into the woman named Sarah. Her bullet ricocheted off the concrete wall.  In the deafening noise, he freed the boy, taking out the final guards. Sarah was getting back up, preparing a second shot.

The dodged her shot, but not the big boss's.

Robin crippled to the concrete floor, blood leaking from his shin. Wally dropped to the floor next to him, panicking, his mind went blank.

"Walls-!" Artemis shouted ducking after her idiot teammates... they had their backs to the two armed threats. 

Except there were no longer any armed threats... and the bound hotage was no longer bound. 

"What the HELL are you doing here?" Th man ripped out his cloth gag, and hurried towards Wally and Robin.

That was the exact miment that the phrase 'fuck this' raced through kaldur's head. He ordered the team to restain the man, and hurried in.

"His friends..." the man sounded disgusted and disappointed at the same time. "If I wanted to hurt you, you'd be dead." He turn to the wall where M'gann hovered, camouflaged against the stone. He stared her dead in the eyes, as if she were completely visible. "So back off." It was an order.

"Kid Flash, is he okay?"

Wally was jerked back to his senses and began hurridly inspecting the bird. He was concious, but had fainted twice since being shot, fifteen seconds at most. "He- uh- he has a pulse." The man rolled his eyes into his skull. Wally was getting more muddled and stressed be the minute. A little bit of his training broke through. "It didn't hit an artery, but we need to stop the bleeding pronto!" He tried to keep Robin awake, but he kept fluttering in and out of consciousness.

"Jesus, West." The man growled suddenly, kicking Wally away from the tween. 

"Back away from him!" Conner interjected.

"Bandages." He ordered. "Now!" M'gann hurried through the open grate towards the bioship. He had Wally grab the pillowcase and cloth gag. The man used these to start binding Robins wound. Conner and Artemis, watched him firmly. "Wake up!" He clapped his hands next to boys face.

Robin started violently, looking up the the man. "Dami...?" 

As soon as the man was confident in Robin's health, he practically exploded. "What are you doing here?"

Robin looked scared, but not as much as they thought it should. Artemis shouted. "Hey! Back off."

"I am talking to Gr-" he turned back to him. "Why are you here?" He didn't answer. "Did Batman tell you to come here?" He nodded. "Than why did you get in my way?" He spat.

"You were in a trap!" Robin hissed from the pain.

"They were in MY trap." He sighed. "I was about to take them down. And you had to barge in and got shot!"

Robin looked pale, and not just because he was anemic. The only thing he could think to say was "B is going to be so pissed."

M'gann returned desperately with a first-aid kit, and Wally took over bandaging the boy up, talking to keep him awake.

The man turned, as if to leave. Artemis drew her bow.

"Who are you?" Kakdur ordered.

He looked down at Robin. "Do they know who you are?"

Robin took a moment to say. "Nah, B won't let me."

He turned back to the kids in front of him. "In which case..." he reached into his  pocket and pulled out his mask. He placed it over his eyes. "I'm Robin's brother."

Things slowed down for the team. Robin didn't have brothers... right? "What?"

"I'm not repeating myself." He stated sternly. "Ask young 'red arrow'. He knows me. West knows me too."

Everyone turned to Wally, surprised that this guy knew his name. "Yeah... Robin has brothers."

"Brothers? Plural?" Conner asked, but no one caught it.

"Get Robin back to the mountain immediately." He ordered. "Do it." He turned and vanished, though it seemed his eyes were still there, watching them.

"Get up, Rob, Come on, it's okay..." Wally helped him up,  waiting for the bioship to come down to them.

"Bats is gonna kill me..." He muttered, near tears.

"Don't worry." Wally brushed the hair out of the boy's face. "When he kills me, we can go to hell together."
