Deaged (Part Five; Reverse Brothers)

Sleep is a no-go when you have an emotionally stressed three year old. Dick had a four am night terror and kept waking up needing water/the bathroom. He was relatively scared of the dark, not wanting to move if no one else was awake.
The other kids seemed to have slept alright, except Dianah explained that Conner had woken her up after his super hearing and M'gann's telekinises picked up on Dick's night terror. She was tired and gave some BS excuse since she knew normal, teenage, Robin wouldn't take to kindly to that information being shared publicly.
Now, both exhaused Adults waited for someone to take over after them. There'd been a miscommunication, and they were currently stuck without replacements.
She sipped her coffee. "Sorry, if I'd known he was being so difficult I'd have offered to help."
"No, if I wasn't there, things could have been worse."
"Is it worth it?" She asked. "They aren't exactly child friendly..."
"It's better than nothing, our exhaustion could put them in more danger... Red Robin will hopefully manage to keep them in line."
"They haven't seen their brother yet, have they?"
"No." Bruce admitted. "The children will wake up shortly. I should tell them it's an emergency."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, what is it?" Jason (18) ordered, leaping through the zetabeam. When he'd first been contacted at five am on a sunday, he was pretty damn pissed off. Then, he'd realized that this mission involved being at the mountain; where his little brother worked.
"Slow down, I don't think the assaignment is going anywhere." Damian (29) followed him. They didn't know what happened to their brother, only that his team had been effected by some kind of poison or toxin, and their father had stayed at the mountain the previous night.
Last to arrive was Tim (21), Clutching his travel mug. "Can you two shut up? I don't think this mission requires bullhorns."
"Where's babybird?" Jason ordered.
The three began actually taking in the sight; Dianah, as Black Canary, and their father were in the mountain's kitchen, and at the kitchen table... Children.
"What, What's going on?" Tim was sure he was still asleep and dreaming.
The child turned towards them, watching them, confused. The oldest was almost eight, the youngest was about two or three, and very familiar looking. "Timmy!"
"I'll explain." Their father pulled them away.
The explanation was brief, but it only took a glance at the todler in the Wanye Enterprises shirt to explain everything.
"They're children." Damian stated. "You should have disclosed that before we arrived."
"We don't have anyone to watch them for the day."
Jason wasn't even paying attention. He wove around the other three and strode to the kids eating cereal at the table. The kids froze, he intimidated them. The only one who was entirely comfortable was the youngest; who smiled a little bit.
"Hi, baby bird." He reached out and scooped the kid off his chair, hauling him towards the others.
Kaldur looked between Jason and Dianah, he got up and hurried over To her, ensuring that their youngest wasn't being kidnapped.
"Why were you hiding him from us?"
Tim checked out of the conversation, leaning back and watching Jason return with their younger brother. "Hi, dickie...?"
"Look at him! He's Fucking tiny! How old do you think he is?" Jason asked in a baby voice. "Fucking Adorable! LOOK AT HIM." Dick did not seem pleased, he felt cramped by his brothers and father. They were too close and too focussed on him. He wanted to go back to his friends.
"You're bothering him." Damian stated.
"Duh, why do you think I'm doing it?" Jason continued pestering his brother, who was actively trying to wriggle out of his grip. "Am I upsetting baby?"
"Jason, Stop!" Dick yelled, leaning as far back as he could, trying to yank himself away, frustrated.
"Let your brother go."
Jason scoffed and let go of Dick's arm, letting him fall back on the floor. He smirked, a little maliciously. "Sorry DickieBird, did I hurt you?"
The child hurried to his feet and shouted something, running and stumbling back to the table to sit with his friends.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a bad Idea to leave the brothers alone with ther kids -No, It was an abismal idea.
No one wanted to play with poor Dick when a grownup was following him everywhere and coddling him. They all knew it wasn't fun to play when grownups were nearby.
Damian scared the shit out of all the kids. Even Dick. He really didn't know how to act around them, and just glared down Kaldur, the only one brave enough to try talking to him.
Tim was the only one who didn't actively terrorize them. For the most part, he just leaned back on the couch, eyes closed, breathing heavily and trying to work up some energy. This actually did freak them out quite a bit, he looked and acted like a zombie with vertigo. Despite all this, Kaldur and M'gann latched onto him and and would go to him with any issue.
Jason scared the kids, but was also the cool adult figure of the remaining three, he let them do anything and encouraged chaos. So inspite of their fear, most of them liked him the best of the three. He also played with them a bit, Mostly hide and seek (Except each person was equiped with a nerf gun), and it was in one of these games the first real issues emerged...
"RED! PLEASE! I want to play!"
"Di-Robin, No." Tim, Red Robin to the kids, tiredly tugged his brother back by the collar. "If you go play, you're going to get hurt."
"Please?"
"No. They're playing with toy guns, you'll get shot."
Dick tried to pull away, crossing his arms stubbornly. "Jay gets shot for real!"
"I said no, birdie."
Meanwhile, across the main room, Jason began counting down from one hundred, the biggest Nerf machine gun swung over one shoulder.
"Team up?" Wally begged.
"No way!" Artemis shoved a handfull of foam ammo in her pocket and ran off into the mountain. This Nerf crossbow was the only thing remotely similar to her bow that still fit her, so she chose it as much as possible.
"Team up?" The redhead jogged after the other three fighting to try and find a partner for the game. Usually it was a given that he and Robin did everything together. They would lean back, make eye contact, and give each other a nod that said 'we're totaly a team'. But Dick wasn't allowed to play today, so he felt like a fish out of water, pairing up with Kaldur instead.
At thirty-eight, Jason got bored and skipped the remaining counts. He swung his gun down. Time to hunt some children. "Ready or Not, Bitches!"
"Hood, Don't swear at children." Damian spat, not looking up from his phone.
Jason loaded his first round and began sweeping rooms. Soon, the sound of rapidfire was heard. "Found you!"
"OUCH! How?" M'gann cried. "I was camoflaged!"
"I've taken down your 'uncle' like eighteen times." Jason reloaded. "Come on, let's get the others."
Tim was a little concerned that Jason said 'get the others' instead of 'find the others'.
"He got M'gann!" Dick exclaimed, pulling again.
"Dick," Tim could say his name again since the other kids had left. "No!" This was hard to say because his brother was adorable as a child, and also because Tim had a backbone of foam rubber. "You can't go with them. How about we play something else instead?"
"No!" Adorable, but stuborn. Very stubborn. Apperantly, he'd been all tears on saturday... but it was hard to believe since all he did was shout and throw tantrums when his family was taking care of him.
Actually, this brought up something weird... this had happened on friday night/very early saturday. They'd been children for over twenty-four hours, and tomorrow was monday. Now five of these kiddies would have to call out of school for how long? A week? A month? How would they explain it? What about Artemis and Wally's family members, how would they keep this from them?
"Dickie, you can't go. Is there ANYTHING else you'd want to do?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conner had given up on hiding. There was no point, The guy with the scary eyes was just going to find him and scare him anyways. He desided to stand at the end of the hall, clutching his gun to shoot the guy up the second he turned the corner.
His hearing was useful here, the guy was near silent, but the little noise he made, Conner heard.
The second there was a step around the corner, he fired. Reloading at superhuman speeds and blindly shooting.
"Gah, FUCK!" The guy exclaimed. "Fucking brat!"
"CONNER!" M'gann squealed, trying to dodge the bullets in mid air.
"M'gann?" Conner fired off the last three rounds and lowered the gun.
"YES!" She exclaimed, rubbing her left eye, where one of Conner's bullets had hit. "You hit me."
"Sorry." He said uncomfortably, not sure why. "Do you want ice?"
"No. Let's work together." She lowered herself to the floor, still pouting a little from the minor injuries.
"Sorry."
"Guys, cut it." Jason spat, a little embarrassed that a literal child had successfully ambushed him. "Let's hunt the others. There's only Arrow girl, Sonic the hedgehog, and Water boy, right?"
"Yes." Conner said. "Artemis, Kid Flash, and Aqualad."
"Sure, Let's go. Alien #1," He pointed at M'gann. "Find tadpole. Alien #2," He pointed at Conner. "Go after Arrow. I'll get the redhead."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tim was reading his 'grownup' book (theophilus north) aloud to Dick, who had calmed down a bit. Eventually the child needed the washroom.
"Demon, you're up!" Tim sighed.
"Why me?" Damian finally looked up from his phone.
"Cause you haven't done anything so far." Tim scoffed. "I'm watching Dickie, Jay's watching everyone else, you're just sitting their on your phone."
"I'm watching you two." He turned around his phone to show he was monitering the mountain's security cameras.
Tim stood up, roling his eyes. "Oh, that is the biggest..." He lead the toddler over to Damian, who stared down his baby brother. "You're turn, do someething useful."
Reluctantly, Damian lead his brother (forcefully, by the hand) to one of the mountains bathrooms.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conner crept into a side room, he could hear breathing. He was used to the team's breathing patterns, the same way you'd get used to their walking patterns. He knew this was Artemis.
He thought she didn't know he was there, until a foam and plastic arrow whizzed through the air, bouncing off the wall next to him
"That was stupid." He realized he'd said it aload and hurriedly reloaded his empty gun.
More arrows, with much better aim, began firing off, Artemis ducking over a desk to reload her crossbow. She was still VERY efficient despite her age.
Conner had to dodge back behind the wall andreload before sprinting back in and taking her down.
Meanwhile, a few halls over, Jason and M'gann were in a shoot out with the remaining two.
"Wally, you little shit!" The redhead was ducking between Jason's bullets. "Alien, to the side!"
"But I can't shoot it!"
"I don't care! Try!" The eighteen year old growled.
Damian didn't exactly expect to step out of the bathroom and into a warzone. He made a grab for Dick's hand, but it wasn't there. The brat had scurried into the crossfire...towards his favorite redhead in the world.
"Ri-obin!" He exclaimed. "Get back h-"
A foam bullet struck the back of the kid's head. Damian sharply looked away, Jason froze and did the same. They knew that if he saw you looking at him...
Dick burst into tears. They hadn't told the other children not to look.
Wally stopped and tried to haul Dick off the floor. "Robin? Are you okay? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asked desperately. Dick was in hysterics at this point.
"West. Back off!" Damian ordered. He walked forewards and picked Dick off the floor. "You're going back to Red Robin. Now." He carried his baby brother out of the room, passing a rabid Conner and Artemis. The game started again.
"Oh, are you okay?" Tim inspected the kid for injuries.
"He's fine." Damian stated. "He got shot my a toy."
Shortly, Jason and his child posse reappeared, high-fiving each other and talking about the awesome game.
"Aw, sorry Birdie, did you get hurt?" Jason approached and struffed up the little boy's hair. "Don't cry, you'll be big enough to play someday."
"Don't patronize him." Tim stated, holding his youngest brother protectively. "Be careful." He warned as Wally hopped onto the couch next to Dick.
"I am!" The redhead began talking to the toddler about the game.
-EDIT: what do you want to see happen in up coming parts? It doesn't have to be a full story, every idea helps me produce this content-
