- Omega Squad -

"So, who are these guys?" Blue Beetle asked Starfire. They stood before a large group of evil looking people and the same time machine as the one that the Titans had destroyed.

"The Brotherhood of Evil." Starfire answered.

"The little hero followed us here!" A lengthy woman wearing red with short black hair and an accent said.

"How did you thaw yourselves out from when we froze all of you?" Starfire asked.

"It's good to have new friends...who aren't frozen." The woman said.

"Uh, who is she?" Red Hood asked.

"Her name is Madame Rouge." Starfire answered.

"And that guy right there...he looks like--"

"The Brain. he is the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil. Protected by Monsieur Mallah. Then accompanied by an army of villains from our time." Starfire finished Superboy's sentence.

"We many not rule the world in our time. But we will rule the world alongside the Dark in  your time. Get them." The Brain commanded, and they all attacked.

"You fight A LOT like someone I know. Are you sure you've never worked with another group before the Teen Titans?" Red Hood asked Starfire as he punched someone in the face.

"I do not believe so..." Starfire said as she started throwing starbolts. Suddenly, a pale man with black hair grabbed Starfire, threw her on the ground, and held her down.

"Ha! If I can't kill Birdy Boy, I'll kill his bratty girlfriend instead!" He yelled as he held her face on the ground.

"Please get off me! NOW!" Starfire yelled.

"Uh, no." the guy said and pushed her harder into the ground.

"She. Said. Please." Red Hood said, then he ran up to him and gave him a hard blow to the face. Once the guy sat up and looked at Red Hood, he rubbed his chin and cracked his neck.

"You okay?" Red Hood asked Starfire.

"Yes, I am fine. Thank you." Starfire thanked as he helped her up.

"Who is this guy?" Red Hood asked.

"Johnny Rancid." Starfire answered.

"Hmmm...I've never seen you before..." Johnny said.

"Good. Best if you never saw me in the first place, but, too late." Red Hood said as he reached for the guns on his hips.

"Hahahahaha! You think BULLETS can destroy the Johnny Rancid?! Pathetic!" Johnny laughed.

"Yes, I do, actually." Red Hood replied as he cocked his guns, "and talking in the third person is so overrated." Then instead of shooting Johnny, he ran up to him and treated them like Nightwing's dual batons. He smacked him in the face with one gun, then the other. Then he kicked him and punched him in the stomach until he was finally down.

"That teaches you to never underestimate me." Red Hood said and he held up his guns in the air and shot them.

- Theta Squad -

"Ew! It's the over-grown bucket of robo-junk and his little green worm!" Gizmo yelled as the Savage Six stood in front of the Theta Squad.

"Hey! Who are you calling a worm, WORM?!" The Teen Titans Beast Boy yelled.

"Why you little..." Gizmo growled.

"Enough arguing! Just get them!" Jinx yelled.

"So how could you actually start dating Jason and not even tell me?!" Robin asked Batgirl (Stephanie Brown) as they got out their bow staffs.

"Why would I have to tell you?" Batgirl asked.

"To make sure that I don't actually end up killing him in his sleep!" Robin shouted as he whacked Mammoth on the head.

"And why would you end up killing him in his sleep?" Batgirl asked as she also whacked Mammoth.

"...is that a rhetorical question?" Robin asked.

"No." Batgirl answered as she kicked Mammoth away.

"Oh, well, I'm not answering it." Robin said.

"What?! Why?!" Batgirl asked.

"Now is NOT the best time!" Robin yelled as he punched Kyd Wykyyd when he suddenly appeared behind Batgirl.

"Okay, fine! But I will get an answer out of you."

- Alpha Squad -

"This is ridiculous!" Artemis said as the Alpha Squad stood on top of a building in Gotham before what looked like a giant twister of energy, but it just stayed in one place, and that was above the Wayne Enterprises building.

"....well that's just great..." Batman muttered loud enough so everyone could hear him.

"What?" Flash asked.

"Nothing." Batman replied quickly, "right now, we need to evacuate everyone safely and find a way to stop that twister of energy." Batman said.

"...is it just me, or does that twister look just like the one from---"

"It's just you." Artemis immediately cut Impulse off. Then they heard familiar cackling coming from a nearby building.

"Do you all seriously think you can beat us?!" Psimon asked.

"We do. And you will all be brought to justice!" Aqualad answered as he got out his Aqua swords.

"Boy! You will fall along with the rest of your team! We have more friends than you might think!" Black manta said.

"What?! Does that mean...?!" Zatanna asked in disbelief.

"There's another partner?!" Nightwing asked.

"Aw,you're all too smart to be on the pep squad." Psimon said.

"Well, time to get this over with. Taking over the city is exhausting....and Teekl's getting whiny. Let's get rid of them. Darkseid?" Klarion called, "care to do us a favor?"

"My pleasure." Darkseid smiled evilly as he cracked his knuckles. Then he jumped all the way to the building the squad stood on.

"Nightwing! Take your team and the others and find a way to stop that twister! The League will take care of Darkseid! Batman called as they jumped out of the way.

"Right. Let's go." Nightwing commanded as the League and the Shadows took on Darkseid, "Impulse, Aqualad, take Manta. Artemis, Cheshire, Sportsmaster, take Psimon. Robin, Zee and I will take Klarion." Nightwing said. They all nodded and headed for their assigned targets, but before Nightwing ran off, Artemis grabbed his wrist.

"Hey, be careful." Artemis said.

"I will." Nightwing smiled. He gave her a quick five second kiss, "I love you." Then he ran off after Klarion.

"Love you too." Artemis said. Then she ran off to where her sister and dad were standing before Psimon.

"Hmm...too bad the Martian isn't here. You're all going to lose then." Psimon said, "Psimon says--"

"Oh no you don't!" Sportsmaster yelled and he immediately ran up to him and punched him, but he was still conscious.

"Hmmm...okay then. Let's do it that way." Psimon said then he shot a bolt from his brain at them, but they were agile and they jumped out of the way.

"Wow! Isn't this fun? Just like old times!" Cheshire said as she stood next to Artemis.

"Yeah...right..." Artemis muttered as they dodged Psimon's bolts.

"Hey, who's your new boyfriend? He's pretty handsome." Cheshire said.

"Nightwing? Yeah. He's awesome." Artemis smiled to herself. Suddenly Cheshire was hit by one of Psimon's bolts, "Jade!" Artemis yelled and ran over to her.

"You're gonna pay for that." Sportsmaster said as he got out his rope with a heavy metal ball on the end.

"Am I? Really?" Psimon asked. Then Sportsmaster spun the ball in the air and he threw it directly at Psimon's brain, and it knocked him out cold.

"How many times must we meet like this father? Join us. You are always welcome to do good." Aqualad said.

"No! 'Good' proves weakness and cowardess! No man like me can afford to be either!" Manta yelled as he shot lasers out of his eyes, but Aqualad moved out of the way.

"The dude's totally gonna feel the mode." Impulse said, then he ran around Black Manta.

"What?!" Manta said in confusion as he started rising off the ground. Then he got at least fifteen feet off the ground. Impulse stopped running and let Manta fall. Aqualad turned his Aqua swords into clubs, and he hit Manta as he fell back down. Then he flew off onto the roof of another building.

"There's no way you brats will win!" Klarion yelled as he threw balls of magic at the two acrobats and the skilled magician.

"I've prepared for the day we'd meet again, Klarion!" Zatanna yelled, "Worht mih kcab!" Then Klarion suddenly got thrown backwards.

"You're gonna pay for that!!!" Klarion yelled. Then he got up and he started throwing more balls of magic again.

"We need a way to get rid of that twister." Nightwing said to Robin as Zatanna kept Klarion busy.

"But what do we have to do?!" Robin asked. Then Nightwing remembered what Impulse was trying to say before they had started fighting.

"...I think I know what we need to do now." Nightwing said. Then he ran up to the twister of energy and looked at it, then at Robin behind him.

"Zee's busy...I can't tell Artemis..." Nightwing said to Robin.

"...wait, what are you...?!" Robin asked.

"Tell her...okay? Promise me you won't let her get away with anything stupid." Nightwing smirked.

"Where are you going?!" Robin asked in disbelief. Then Nightwing turned to him for the last time.

"To go be with a friend." Nightwing smiled as he peeled his mask off his face and dropped it behind him, then he stepped into the twister.

"NO!!" Robin yelled, but it was too late.

"What the...what did that idiot do?! No! No no no no no NO!!!" Klarion yelled. Suddenly the twister started getting smaller, then to the point where it had just disappeared, leaving the buildings destroyed.

"Wh-What happened?!" Impulse asked as he ran over.

"No..." Zatanna muttered.

"What have you idiots done?!" Klarion screamed in anger. Suddenly, Klarion started flickering. In his anger, he didn't realize Sportsmaster had kicked Teekl.

"No! Not Teekl! Oh shoot...we're outta here! Later alligators!" Klarion said, then he snapped his fingers, and he and Teekl disappeared, leaving Psimon and Black Manta in the hands of the champions.

"Did we win?" Aqualad asked.

"Where's Nightwing?" Artemis asked Robin, but he just looked at the ground at Nightwing's mas. Then he looked up at Artemis.

"No...not Dick too...please tell me....." Artemis cried.

"He lov--"

"I don't even need to hear it....I've heard those three words so many times already..." Artemis cut Robin off. She covered her mouth as she looked at the ground at Dick's mask. She fell to her knees and held the mask in her hands. Then she let her head fall and she cried. Zatanna ran over to her and wrapped her arms around Artemis as she cried with her. Cheshire and Sportsmaster stood behind them and watched sadly.

"We need to head back..." Aqualad said and he turned on his comm.

"What happened?" Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) asked.

"We...we lost someone." Aqualad answered.

"WHO?!" Batgirl asked. Then she heard Aqualad sigh,

"Nightwing." Batgirl immediately went speechless, then she turned pale. She turned to Robin and Batgirl (Stephanie Brown). She covered her mouth and fell on her knees. Robin and Batgirl ran over to her and comforted her as she cried.

"This....this can't be happening..." Batman muttered under his breath as he looked off the building where Darkseid lied unconscious and tied up.

"We are truly sorry for your loss." Aquaman said.

"If there's anything we can do to help..." Flash said.

"But there isn't...this...this was my fault..." Batman said. Then he fell to his knees as well, and mourned over the loss of his first Robin. His first partner. His first son.
