"That's stupid. Why don't they just fly over the water?" Kara asked in disbelief as she sat on the floor with Jaime, Dick, Artemis, Conner, and M'gann watching American Ninja Warrior in the living room.

"Because...they don't have superpowers. That's what makes the whole thing challenging." Jaime answered as he put his arm around her and pulled her closer to him.

"I'd be able to do that course in fifteen seconds tops." Kara said.

"I'm sure you would." Jaime smiled.

"It'd take me an hour." Artemis laughed.

"That's not true." Dick said as he pulled Artemis onto his lap.

"Easy for you to say! You're an acrobat!" Artemis said as she rested her head on his chest.

"Well, running up the wall at the end might pose a problem, but Conner would have no problem with that at all." Dick said as he turned to Conner.

"Eh, but M'gann could easily fly right through the entire course. Literally." Conner said as he pulled M'gann closer to him and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Aw, Conner. You're too kind. But you'd be able to do SOO well! I don't have any muscles." M'gann said. Then Jaime turned to Kara.

"I'm sure you'd be able to win the show so easily." Jaime said.

"That's not true." Kara laughed. Suddenly they heard the garage front entrance open and close.

"Wonder who that is." Dick said as he looked down the hallway from where he was sitting.

"I really don't want to get up and check right now." Conner said and remained seated.

"Okay, then I'll go." Dick said as he started getting up with Artemis still on his lap.

"No! Don't get up yet! I want to lay here with you a little while longer." Artemis smiled as she snuggled into his chest.

"May I remind you that you're the one who actually gets to lie down on top of me." Dick said as he picked her up bridal style and threw her onto the couch behind them. Then he went down the hallway to see who entered the cave, leaving Artemis laughing on the couch.

"Can you lift me?" Kara asked Jaime as she sat on his lap.

"I don't know...let's find out." Jaime smirked as he picked her up bridal style and held her.

"That's a yes!" Kara laughed as she held onto him tight. Then she turned his face and gave him a light kiss. But their romantic moment was suddenly interrupted.

"Team, get to the mission briefing room, NOW!" Dick yelled over the cave PA system.

"How'd THEY get in here?!" Conner asked as the six of them surrounded their unwanted visitors.

"Superboy, we do not wish to harm any of you...for now. We are here to talk about Klarion." Savage said as he and his little posse of villains rose their hands up in peace.

"And why should we trust you?!" Artemis asked as she held her bow and arrow up and ready to shoot.

"Because the enemy of our enemy is our friend, is it not?" Lex Luthor asked. Then they all looked at each other, and Dick nodded.

"He proves a point. We can trust them. But keep an open mind." Dick said, and Artemis lowered her bow.

"Now why do you come to us? Isn't the Justice League a better option for you?" Jaime asked.

"They would never take a minute or a second to listen to what we have to say, and we knew that you kids wouldn't lock us up immediately like they would've." Queen Bee said.

"Hmph. You're lucky Gar isn't here." M'gann said.

"How did you get in without any of the alarms going off?" Kara asked.

"Red Hood did us a little favor in exchange for money and the address of some girl." Savage said.

"What?!" Artemis said in disbelief.

"Wow, that dude really needs to get a life..." Jaime said under his breath, and Kara chuckled.

"Since when has Jason been interested in girls?!" Dick asked, "but that doesn't matter right now. What were you guys originally planning on doing with it?"

"We were going to raid zee cave." The Brain said, "but since Klarion turned against us with Psimon et Black Manta, we used it in zis way."

"Who was the girl?" Conner asked.

"The address was to a girl's house in Gotham. Stephanie Brown." Lex Luthor said.

"Stephanie?!" Dick asked in shock and worry.

"Who is she?" M'gann asked.

"Doesn't matter right now. And I shouldn't be worrying about her right now." Dick said.

"Anyways, Klarion, Black Manta, and Psimon, three of the strongest members from the Light started their own villains' society with Darkseid: the Dark." Savage said.

"Pfft...very original." Jaime scoffed.

"And so you're basically saying you want us to help you?!" Conner asked.

"Well, temporarily. Just long enough to destroy their group and teach them their lesson." Lex Luthor answered.

"Fine. We'll trust them. But by the time we're done with this, we're handing you all back over to the League. Including 'the Dark'." Dick said. Suddenly they heard a crash outside the cave. They all ran outside and saw what was going on. The War World was suddenly functional, even though the Light was in the cave with the team.

"Who's in there?" Conner asked Savage.

"We're all down here." Savage said.

"Then...who's up there controlling the---"

"Hello? Little Justice League?" They heard Psimon say suddenly over the cave PA system.

"What do you want, Psimon?!" Dick yelled.

"Oh good, you are there." Psimon said, "I'd like to present you with a plan that would without a doubt end the League and their sidekicks forever."

"You keep saying that, but we're still here!" Conner yelled.

"No, no, hero. This will be permanent this time." Psimon said.

"Get ready for the Past Invasion!!" Klarion cackled, then they heard a meow, "shut it, Teekl! They can hear you!" Klarion yelled.

"And we know you're there too, Savage. You may have their help, but that just means you'll fall along with them." Black Manta said.

"You have until tomorrow morning before we start invading the Earth with our brilliant plan." Psimon warned.

"All planned by ME! Ha! The Dark, over and out! HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Klarion laughed, and the PA system turned off.

"Now that just great....what do we do now....team leader?" Savage asked, and then they all turned to Dick. He looked at all of them,

"We need to call the League, then we really need to compare notes."

Dick got off his motorcycle and scanned the area.

>> ...Gotham City... << Dick thought to himself as he walked up to the front porch of the quaint house. Then he noticed Red Hood's motorcycle parked nearby.

"Aqualad to Nightwing. I got your request. We'll go meet the League in a few hours." Aqualad said over Dick's comm.

"Right. Good. I'll be there. I just need to check on someone." Dick answered.

"Right. See you then, my friend. Aqualad out." Then Dick turned off his comm and knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Stephanie opened the door.

"Dick! How are you?" Stephanie smiled.

"I'm good. How are you? I heard Jason was looking for your address from an evil organization and I came by to make sure you were okay." Dick said.

"I'm fine. Huh...funny you came by. I was expecting a...different Robin." Stephanie said as she rubbed her elbow.

"Look, I'm sure Tim would be worried sick too, if he had known. But I knew before he did, so I came first." Dick said, "is Jason here?"

"Yeah, he's been staying the night." Stephanie said as she let Dick in, then closed the door behind them. Then Dick saw Jason sitting at her dining table.

"I swear...if you did anything to her...." Dick said.

"I swear, I didn't hurt her in ANY way. In fact, I was trying to get her to join your little pep squad." Jason answered as he chewed on the toothpick in his mouth.

"That'd be...great, actually--" Dick said.

"It's fine. I'm already busy." Stephanie interrupted as she glared at Jason, "anyways, thanks for stopping by, Dick. I really appreciate it. Now, if you'll both excuse me, I need to grab something." Stephanie said and she walked upstairs to her room to get her phone. She went to her bedside where her phone sat, but as soon as she passed her closet, she shrieked.

"Sshhh...I'm not here to hurt you." the male voice said from her closet, black-gloved hands held out showing her that he comes in peace.

"What...who are you?! Come out and show yourself!" Stephanie commanded as she reached for her bow staff next to her closet.

"Okay...okay." the male voice said as he stepped out. And as soon as he did, Stephanie grabbed her bow staff and held it up to the person's neck and held him against the wall. But then her eyes opened wide at the sight of who it was.

"Tim?! Wh-what are you d-doing here?!" Stephanie stammered.

"I heard what had happened at the cave, and I knew who to go to for help. Jason wouldn't do much, but I know you well. Please?" Tim asked.

"Ugh...you're just like Jason and Dick... they've already asked me." Stephanie said.

"Wait...are they here?!" Tim asked as he looked around in panic. Suddenly, her bedroom light turned on.

"Yes, we are..." Dick said as he and Jason walked in.

"WERE YOU SPYING ON ME?!" Stephanie yelled.

"We heard you shriek." Jason said.

"ALL THREE OF YOU BOYS NEED TO LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I won't be surprised if Batman shows up too!! AND IN MY BEDROOM!!! Get out!" Stephanie yelled as she pointed to her door, and all three boys immediately ran out.

"Well, that's just great." Dick muttered as he and Tim walked down the sidewalk to their motorcycles.

"Why didn't you tell me anything about this?! About Jason wanting Steph's address?! About the 'Past Invasion'?!" Tim yelled.

"How did---"

"I'm a detective! And I was in the cave when all that happened! I heard everything! And you didn't even tell me! Do you know how worried I was about her?!" Tim shouted.

"Look, I'm sorry! But that's not important right now! She's safe! And now we have to focus on the Dark!" Dick said as they got onto their motorcycles, "and we were waiting to tell the entire team and the League about the past invasion in a couple hours at the Watchtower."

"Steph was all I was worried about..." Tim said, "she may be my ex, but....I still worry about her, okay?"

"I understand. I feel the same way...especially with Babs, to be honest." Dick said as they drove off side by side.

>> Hm. Wait 'til Barbara hears about that. << Tim smiled to himself as they drove off.
