"Ugh...what...where am I?" Superboy asked as he rubbed his head and looked around. He found himself in an empty cell made of some sort of red stone. He tried getting up and running to the iron barred door, but he was chained to the floor. 

"Superboy is awake." a familiar voice said outside his cell.

"Black Manta." Superboy said. Then he looked behind Manta and he saw Aqualad, "Aqualad! Get Black Manta! Then let me go!" But  Aqualad didn't move. 

"Aqualad doesn't take orders from you or anyone else anymore." Manta said. 

"What?! Why?! What did you do to him?!" Superboy asked. Then Psimon opened his cell door and walked up to Superboy. 

"The same thing wed did to Nightwing. And the same thing we're about to do to you." Then Psimon brain-blasted Superboy, causing Superboy to fall to the ground unconscious. 

"Is he finished?" Darkseid asked Klarion as they walked through the hallway of cells. 

"He's on the eighth brat. He only has the bug to take care of." Klarion said. 

"The Blue Beetle? But I just saw him walk out." Darkseid said. 

"What? He's not under Psimon's control yet! Find him and get him back here! NOW!" Klarion yelled, sending Darkseid off to find Blue. Teekl meowed as he sat on Klarion's shoulder, "you stupid cat! What are you waiting for?! GO! GO! GO!" Klarion yelled. Teekl hissed then jumped off his shoulder and swiftly followed Darkseid in search of the beetle.

"I have no idea where I'm going right now." Blue Beetle said to his Scarab as he ran through the unfamiliar halls.

>> I advised you to plan your escape before we quietly broke out, Jaime Reyes. << Blue's Scarab said. 

"Yeah, well you didn't really give me enough time. I bet they just realized that I was missing." Blue replied. he found the exit and he pushed the doors open.

"Whoa...so this is Apokolips...." Blue muttered. Then he was approached by some Apokolips guards. They tried fighting him but he easily got rid of all of them. Until a larger group of guards came after him. 

"Scarab! There are too many of them! We won't make it!" Blue said as he took out a few guards, but were ambushed by fifty more. 

>> We won't let them take us captive again! Incinerate them all! << Scarab said 

"No. We can't just kill them! We need a strategic escape." Blue said. Suddenly half the guards in the back of the group were frozen in blocks of ice. He looked behind them and smiled when he saw Supergirl flying towards him. She froze the remaining guards that were after him and she landed next to Blue. 

"Thanks." Blue smiled. 

"Anytime!" Supergirl smiled. 

"But what are you doing here? Where are the others?" Blue asked. 

"I'm here to save you guys. The others are still at the cave. They were, um, unconscious when I left...but they're probably on their way here already." Supergirl replied, "now where are the other boys?" 

"Are you serious?! You just left the others at the cave?! Do they even know where you are?!" Blue asked, "you should've stayed back with them!"

"Hey! If I hadn't come, you'd be dead meat!" Supergirl said, "now answer my question! Where are the other boys?" 

"Not until you answer mine! Do they know where you are?" Blue asked. Suddenly they heard the doors behind them slam open. 

"Got you!" Darkseid yelled as a giant menacing form of Teekl ran up from behind him, "oh, and you have your little girlfriend here too! We should take her too, don't you think?" Darkseid asked. 

"She's not my girlfriend! And you won't be taking her!" Blue yelled as he got his plasma cannon equipped. 

"Well, you're going to have to fight me for her then!" Darkseid smiled evilly and shot Omega beams out of his eyes. But before he could shoot Blue Beetle, Supergirl ran in front of him and Darkseid shot her instead. 

"Supergirl!" Blue shouted as she flew back from the impact. He ran back to her to check on her. 

"Awww...you two make the cutest couple. Too bad neither of you will live to share your first kiss." Darkseid said as he held up his fists to shoot more Omega beams. 

"Wanna bet?" Blue smirked. Darkseid growled angrily, but before he could shoot them, lasers were shot at him, making him fly back, crash into Teekl, and into his own fortress, knocking them both out for at least ten minutes. Suddenly, the Bioship appeared and landed next to where Blue and Supergirl were. Then the five girls ran out of the ship and up to Blue. 

"Someone has to get Supergirl back to the ship and take care of her while the rest comes with me to get the other boys. I know where they are." Blue said. 

"I'll stay at the Bioship and watch Supergirl. The rest of you go get the boys. As soon as she wakes up, we'll catch up with you guys later!" M'gann said as she levitated Supergirl into the Bioship. 

"Good. Let's go." Blue said as he and the other girls ran into Darkseid's fortress. Then they shut the doors, latched it, and locked it before Darkseid woke up. They could already hear Darkseid trying to break down the door. 

"Okay...we just locked ourselves in. There's no turning back now." Batgirl said. 

"Who know what's waiting ahead of us." Bumblebee said. 

"Uh, I do..." Blue said, "but not exactly. I guess it involved Psimon--" 

"Psimon?!" Wonder Girl asked. 

"Oh man! You're right! We need Miss M. for this? Stupid, stupid..." Blue said as he slapped himself. 

"No! That's not it. Well, partially. It's just the fact that what happened to Nightwing is the doing of Psimon. That means he's planning to mind-control all the other boys on the team!" Batgirl said. 

"Oh...that's really bad... should we get M'gann?" Blue asked. 

"Nah. I got this." Wonder Girl said as she cracked her knuckles. 

"Uh, you got this?" Bumblebee asked. 

"Yeah. Cause I would do such a better job." Artemis said. 

"That's not true. You don't even have any superpowers!" Wonder Girl said. 

"Well, Batgirl doesn't have superpowers either! At least I have a bow and arrows! Different types of arrows! More effective than fists!" Artemis said. 

"Sure, I don't have superpowers. Well guess what? NEITHER DOES BATMAN!" Batgirl said. 

"Uh, you're not Batman!" Artemis corrected. 

"Uh, closest thing we've GOT!" Batgirl replied. 

"Batman put you in charge because you're his protege! But you don't even have superpowers!" Wonder Girl said. 

"Yeah! I don't have superpowers either, but I have more effective weapons! So he obviously chose you because you're his FAVORITE!" Artemis said. 

"Yeah! Just like the fact that BATMAN is one of the main leaders of the League! He doesn't even have superpowers EITHER!" Wonder Girl said, "and what about Wonder Woman? She's so much stronger than Batman! I'm sure the League can survive without Batman! Same thing with this team: We can survive without Batgirl! She's only gonna start up arguments like this one!" 

"Well I'm sorry Batman and I are so much better than all of you and your mentors! Maybe you don't need help! Maybe you can defeat Psimon, Klarion, Manta, and Darkseid all by yourselves! I bet your deaths will be so worth proving you're the best!" Batgirl yelled. 

"Fine! Then maybe I will die and prove I'm the best!" Bumblebee said and flew off. 

"Fine! We're gone!" Artemis yelled as she walked in a different direction. Then Wonder Girl looked around and did the same, leaving Blue Beetle and Batgirl alone. 

"They don't even know where they're going." Batgirl said. 

"They don't. Because the cells are down this hallway.' Blue said and pointed down the fourth hallway that neither of the girls went down. 

"Oh well. We'll get M'gann to call the others psychically once we get all the boys." Batgirl sighed as they walked down the hallway. 

"We might have a little problem though...how will we get them if they're being mind-controlled?" Blue asked. 

"The only way we'd be able to..." Batgirl said, "we need to fight them."
