Katie, don't cry, I know
His tongue was like lead. Robin didn't know how to respond. Did Wally mean it?
You're trying your hardest
"It's over." The speedster repeated.
"Why?" The little bird managed to say.
Wally sighed. "C'mon Rob, we're not happy anymore. All we ever do is argue."
"Wally, please. We can fix this. We can -"
"Stop it Rob!" Wally interrupted. "Just stop."
They stared at each other for a few seconds. Neither of them wanted their relationship to end like this.
Robin gulped. "Have these 8 months meant nothing?"
"I'll see you tomorrow."
With that, Wally briefly placed his hand on his shoulder, and left.
And the hardest part is letting go

Of the nights we shared
The room was filled with silence. Tension was in the air between the speedster and the acrobat. The mission inevitably failed because of the squabbling teens.
"So is anyone gonna say it?" Artemis asked.
No one replied.
"Fine." She sighed. "I will. This mission failed because you two broke up and forgot how to work together."
Robin objected. "It was his fault! He wasn't fast enough!"
"What?" Kid Flash spat. "This was your fault boy 'blunder'."
Before Robin could answer back, Aqaulad stood up. "Stop. We are a team. Act like one."
Ocala is calling, and you know it's haunting
"He's right." Batman suddenly appeared behind them.
Everyone jumped apart from the ninja who heard him enter.
He grunted. "Robin, come with me."
Barman sounded the same as he always did to the team. However, Robin could hear how furious his father was.
But compared to your eyes

Nothing shines quite as bright,
Once they got back to the manor, Bruce pulled off his cowl. It reveled hundreds of frown lines and a scowl. Robin was about to speak but the bat cut him off.
"You let your personal life effect the mission."
"I know."
He cut to the chase. "You're off the team."
"What?" Robin gasped. "That's a bit extreme! Why isn't Wally off the team?"
And when we look to the sky
Bruce stood next to the door. His shadow filled the entire room. "You should know better Dickie."
It's not mine
After he left, the light returned to his room. It felt so empty now. Dick Grayson stood alone - like he always did.
But I want it so
***
Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight
Mornings were always dull and boring. This particular morning was even more so. The moment he stepped out of his room he knew how awkward breakfast was going to be. Each step creaked as he stood on it, announcing the little bird was awake.
(I know he's there and)
You're probably hanging out and making eyes
The butler and the playboy looked at the broken hearted teen as he walked in the kitchen.
Bruce sipped his coffee. "You feeling okay Dick?"
"Yeah." He replied and sat down.
For a brief second Bruce thought he saw his son's eyes water. But he immediately wiped his eyes and blamed it on allergies.
(While across the room he stares)
I'll bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor
"What are you doing today?" Bruce asked him.
"Nothing." He chewed on a piece of toast.
Bruce smiled. "Good because I have something to show you."
"What?"
Without answering, Bruce grabbed his arm and lead him out the kitchen.
And ask my girl to dance, and she'll say yes
Dick stood in the hallway. Bruce had ran into the living room and closed the door, making him wait outside for him. His feet were beginning to get sore so he sat down on the stairs. His phone buzzed. Once he unlocked it he wished he hadn't. Megan had sent him a photo. It was a picture of the team, it even had Wally in. She captioned it "Miss you!"
Because these words were never easier for me to say
Did that mean Wally missed him too? He stood up and was about to go back to the mountain. He glanced at his phone one last time. That's when he noticed. Wally had been pulled into the picture. He didn't want to be there. His face said it all. It crushed him like an avolanche. It hit him slowly, then all at once. Dick was slipping back into his depression.
Or her to second guess
He was quickly pulled out of his negative thought when his father opened the living room door. The sound disrupted the lonely silence.
But I guess
Bruce smiled and gestured to the door. "Dickie, meet -"
"Starfire," she said for him.
Behind Bruce appeared a girl, about the same age as him. But she didn't look like a normal girl. Her eyes were emerald green. Even the white parts.
She grinned and waved. "It's nice to meet you." She held her hand out.
That I can live without you but
The teenager dropped his phone without a second thought. It fell to the ground in slow motion. When it was inches away from the floor, he walked over and grasped her hand. He shook it, forgetting all about the picture. It didn't matter anymore.
"I'm Di-," he paused. "Robin. I'm Robin. It's nice to meet you too, Star."
Without you I'll be miserable at best
***
Robin turned his music off and unplugged his earphones. It was time to move on. Move on from Wally and the team. He reached over to his lamp, and switched it off.
