The 10 year old grabbed his mentor's cloak. The Dark Knight looked down at his son reassuringly.
"It's okay Dickie," he whispered. "You'll like them, trust me."
The little bird came out from behind him. He stared at the two older boys with his bright blue orbs.
Batman looked at The Flash and Green Arrow. "Can I trust them?"
He smiled, "of course."
"Hey Richard, my name's Wally and this is Roy." the goofy teenager grinned.
"It's Dick," he said with a quiet voice.
"Okay, Dick." Wally's smile got even bigger.

Dick Grayson sat uncomfortably on the swing. The older boys looked at each other.
"What should we do?" Roy asked.
"You wanna do something else Dick?" Wally said, noticing he wasn't having fun.
Dick looked up hopefully, "Can we go see my parents?"
"Erm -" Roy started.
"Of course!" the ginger interrupted and smiled at the little blue eyed boy.
Dick Grayson jumped off the swing happily and headed towards the park gate.

The Cemetery was eerie. There was only a few other people there. The little bird seemed to know exactly where he was going. He probably knew it better than he knew the manor. He skipped along the path and suddenly stopped. He looked at the headstones in front of him.
"Hi mommy, hi daddy." Dick smiled.
The older boys didn't say a word. They just stared.
"I'm sorry I haven't visited for a while. I've been really busy. I've been training! I'm a hero now! Turns out I'm good at it. It's dangerous, but Bruce keeps me safe. He'd never let anyone hurt me. Bruce is really really nice and so is Alfred. I-I still really miss you though.
I go to school, eat my veggies, train really hard and do my chores! Just like you told me!" he choked up; tears dripped off his face. "I l-love you both so much!"
Wally grabbed his hand.
Roy smiled. "They would be so proud of you Dickie."
Dick wrapped his arms around Wally and started crying harder. "I feel so alone."
"Hey," Roy put his hand on his shoulder. "You will never be alone. Never."
"He's right." Wally agreed. "You will always have Bruce, Alfred and the entire Justice League."
Roy smiled. "And now you have us."
Wally patted his ebony hair. "Yeah. You will always have your big brothers, no matter what. Don't you forget it."
Dick nodded and smiled. He finally stopped crying.
Wally stood up. "Let's go back to the park."
Dick grabbed his older brother's hands. "Okay."
They walked back down the path. This would be the start of a great friendship.
