I'm 99% sure I said it last time, but with the fact that I'm also working on S3 and just got to New Genesis, I feel the need to remind everyone that unless there are either given translations for Alien Languages or pronunciations, then I will NOT be doing it myself! 

Also the formatting for those style of languages are VERY liable to change.

The formatting of changes in location within the same large location is also liable to change. If you have any recommendations I'd love to hear them.

With his helmet on, Kaldur's voice is once again modulated. "Intruders." he muses lowly. "Upper level. And in the water." he turns back towards the dock, heading back towards the ship. (Okay, CC AND the files I have to say "on the level" but... yeah that just doesn't make sense, so I made it, so it still fit and made sense. You're welcome.)

With a quick turn, there are laser beams shooting from both eyes of the helmet, which blast at the water's surface before hitting the buoy cam.

The lasers go through the water and the two have to get out of the way to not get hit. (Physics says no. Refraction. Aiming would be a fucking bitch and a half, and it would sure as shit lose a fair amount of its power considering it is LIGHT.)

"There!" one of the guards calls out to their partner, raising their gun. It's aimed at Robin who is half-hidden behind a control station.

The two fire shots quickly, missing the Boy Wonder by only a hair every time, the lasers of their guns just as devastatingly destructive as the ones on Kaldur's helmet.

Batman drops in on top of one and delivers a punishing roundhouse kick to the head of the second.

Barely being missed by another shot of laser fire.

He ignores the near-miss and throws a Batarang at the first of the three approaching guards.

Knocking them down and out instantly.

Batgirl comes out of the door they're just past to take out the second, throwing them over her shoulder and to the ground, while Nightwing comes up from the under the walkway, using the railing to hit the third in the head and knocking them in the opposite direction of the other two.

Robin's extendable bō snaps to its full length, then he leaps from his rocky outcrop to take out one guard with a side kick, land, and swing with his now crackling bō staff to hit the second in the face.

At the dock, two more guards are shooting into the water.

Aquaman and Lagoon Boy break the surface, the king of the Seas delivering a devastating punch to the helmet of one of the guards while Lagoon Boy got more air and delivers a kick to the other's chest.

The Kroloteans on the floor back away warily.

"The Meta-Earthlings found us!" one screeches.

"Use the Mechs!" another, the one hit by Blue Beetle's shot commands. "Attack!"

The two Mechs working on the large ship immediately stop their work and jump down to the floor, walking towards the Atlanteans.

Aquaman tackles three Kroloteans and Lagoon Boy turns to find one of the Mechs taking aim at him.

His tattoos glow and he puffs up with a growl. Then he throws himself as high into the air as he can, delivering a double hammer-fist to the center of the Mech, causing it to explode.

On the other side of the Mountain, behind the ship, a shadowy figure slips out of a hole in the mountain and down the carved-out side.

Then the lone figure scuttles in front of the base of the ship, where the shadow of something large in front of them is revealed, over to one of the steel support beams.

The device clicks into place on the beam, stuck in place.

The figure presses the red oblong-shaped button on it.

The device lets out a quiet hum then the button begins to blink.

The figure stands back up straight and leaves behind the ship and out the way they came.

As shots continue to fire two Kroloteans continue working at the computer hub.

One of the guards raises their gun, but Batman spins and delivers an elbow strike so strong the glass cracks.

He kicks the approaching guard with a front kick to the gut and a knee to the helmet. Dropping them.

He pulls out another Batarang and throws it at one of the guards taking aim. Landing with painful accuracy.

Then he jumps through the broken rail and down.

Nightwing cracks another guard's helmet with a back-fist just before he calls out, "Batgirl: Maneuver seven."

She drops the guard's shoulder and turns to take a running start at Nightwing as he drops down and threads his fingers together.

Her foot lands right in his hands and he throws her upwards.

She gets above the railing of the crossing walkway above them, hitting the first guard with a side kick and continuing to turn to hit the second with a back kick.

She lands in a crouch and looks down the walkway.

Above her, one of the guards yells as they're hit with an electrified end of a bō staff, a second follows, going over the railing.

Batman is ducked behind a rock to avoid the fire of four Manta Soldiers, pulls a Batarang out from under his cape, and moves away from his cover to throw it.

It hits and sticks to the grating on the bottom of the walkway, flashing red and beeping rapidly just before it explodes.

The entire section of the walkway gives way and all four are dropped to the ground, screaming.

Batman stands up taller to check before moving from behind the rock.

Kaldur uses the laser eyes of his suit to shoot in short bursts at the intruders, a Krolotean Mech walking past him slowly. One of his men is dropped bodily to the floor in front of him.

He turns to see where they fell from and barely has time to dodge Aquaman jumping at him with a fist already pulled back.

Kaldur fires a longer laser burst at the blonde just a moment after he lands.

When it stops Aquaman hits him in the face plate of the helmet.

Kaldur is sent sliding back several feet.

He fires a second shot as the King charges at him, this one hits him in the shoulder and sends him careening back. Landing hard on the floor.

Kaldur slowly stands up straight.

"Manta to Partner. The base has been infiltrated. Abort operation." he says lowly.

"Partner to Manta. The device has already primed." a low, halted, voice returns. "You have five minutes. Get your men out. The bomb will take care of the rest."

"Perfect." Kaldur breathes.

"Manta to all troopers." Kaldur calls out over the comms. "Endgame enabled." he slowly walks backward, continuing to fire long laser beams as he does so. "Strategic retreat to Manta flier. You have four minutes." several Manta Troopers are already following behind him.

"Nightwing to Delta Squad." Dick says into his own comm unit. "Enemy is attempting escape. Request backup."

Lagoon Boy, still puffed up, charges at the other Mech, grabbing it by the base and throwing it over his shoulder.

It explodes on impact.

Aquaman gets to his feet, checking where he was hit by his former protége.

Facing down one Mech and second coming up behind him.

The second is hit by a blast of red lasers through the mountain and explodes.

Through the hole comes Superman, carrying SuperBoy beneath him. WonderWoman and WonderGirl follow quickly behind.

"Nice aim." Aquaman tells the Kryptonian.

"X-ray Vision." Superman says with a smile, landing softly and Conner dropping behind him. "I cheat."

Something catches Conner's eye. "Superman! Triple combo over here."

With practiced precision, Superman turns, grabs Conner, spins once, and releases him to send the teen towards the other end of the cavern.

Conner smashes directly into a Mech, then jumps down to hit a second, then leaps from the smoke for a third with his iconic cry of rage.

He hits the ground in a roll and charges at a fourth. Charging up to it and delivering a punch that sends it into the next area of the cavern

"Quadruple. Nice." Superman comments, dropping in his flight a little to avoid laser fire.

Conner says nothing, but he's got a smile on his face as he runs towards the fourth, he punched away but didn't destroy it.

Superman uses his LaserVision to cut open the Mech shooting at him.

The Krolotean inside screeches.

WonderWoman and WonderGirl fly through the cavern.

WonderWoman pulls out her lasso and catches a Mech around the center.

Her feet land solidly, and she pulls, the Mech loses any grip it had and comes flying at her. She twists, sending it crashing to the ground behind her in an explosion.

WonderGirl lands behind her. "That was amazing! You just... You just..." she can't form words in her excitement while trying to get her own lasso loose. "Whoosh. And then- And then- And then- Bang!"

WonderWoman moves instantly, blocking the shots aimed at her protége with her gauntlets.

The Mech continues firing and she blocks as she turns back towards the teen. "Little less fan girl. Little more Wonder Girl."

Her eyes go wide. "Right. Sorry." taking flight and throwing her own lasso at a Mech that she catches around the control station. With a pull, it comes flying off.

She catches it as it comes towards her with one hand before throwing it back at the other Mech.

Diana smiles and heads forwards.

At the control station behind her, two Kroloteans look at the disk. The one with the red sash looks at the one with the green sash.

The one in the green sash nods.

The one with the red sash removes it and holds it carefully.

Kaldur remains in front of the few remaining Manta Troopers, all of the backing up towards their ship. "Three minutes to departure." he calls over his comms.

He fires another laser blast but turns at the sound of enraged screaming, but it's too low and the wrong kind of growly to be Conner.

As he turns, he finds the source to be La'gaan.

Using the distraction, Aquaman hits a direct punch to the side of his helmet.

Sending the teen to the floor with the helmet off his head and sliding away.

La'gaan deflates, as Kaldur takes a moment to push himself back upright.

His pale eyes catch the light first, and his face is still shadowed as he glares hatefully at the two in front of him.

La'gaan's wide-open mouth shuts as he grits them.

"I had not believed Nightwing until this moment." Aquaman murmurs.

Dodging fire directly above Kaldur, Nightwing looks down from his narrow walkway.

"You did not want to believe!" Kaldur shouts.

"None of us wanted to believe this!" Conner snaps, stalking forward. "How could you betray us?"

"You dare question me?!" Kaldur seethes as he screams, pulling out his WaterBearers. "After all of you let Tula die!" they form into twin swords.

Conner, ready to pounce, has to step back as Dick drops in front of him. "Kaldur that was a mission. Aquagirl knew the risks. No one wanted-"

"Neptune's beard!" La'gaan shouts, stepping forward and glaring at Dick. "Don't coddle this traitor! He has joined forces with our King's greatest enemy."

"Do you mean the King who hid from me the true identity of my father?" Kaldur questions lowly, still seething.

"That was my error in judgment, Kaldur'ahm." Arthur says plainly. "No one else need suffer for it."

"All will suffer if Black Manta demands it," he states darkly, "blood is thicker than seawater." a small compartment opens on the back of his shoulder and a small missile is shot in an instant.

Superman is in the way, taking the brunt of the hit before anyone else could move.

When the smoke clears, he, Aquaman, and La'gaan are the only ones who remain.

Kaldur slides down out of a tunnel to the lowest level of the

"Kaldur." he turns sharply, in a low fighting stance, at the sound of his name, and the familiar voice.

The owner of the voice steps out from the shadows, just as he's been doing since they began the Team together all those years ago.

"Just you and me, old friend?" Kaldur questions, posture shifting, and Dick mirroring the fighting stance.

(I genuinely think Dick meant it to be, but they both forgot that Conner stealth trained WITH them because Dick isn't even holding his escrimas.)

Conner slides down the tunnel behind Kaldur's back. "No! It's a regular reunion special."

Kaldur stands abruptly, WaterBearers dropping to two puddles as the Magic runs out of them. "Fine." he says easily. "You can take me down. Or you can save everyone from this bomb." he gestures to it and Dick stands up straight again. "I am told the yield is quite impressive."

Conner screams and charges at Kaldur's turned back.

Kaldur turns, hitting his left forearm into Conner's larynx and his right down into Conner's chest. He has him in a chokehold right as he hits the ground, his hand sparking, one of the few things on the planet that can cause him pain.

"You have two minutes." Kaldur says harshly to Nightwing as he runs over.

He zaps Conner for only a few moments longer before he takes off and dives into the small pool of water at the corner of the room.

Swimming out through the narrow passage quickly.

The MantaFlier powers up and begins to pull away from the dock.

"They're getting away!" Cassie shouts, running towards the dock.

"We'll stop them!" La'gaan agrees, catching up with her.

"Negative." Nightwing cuts in over the comms. "We have a bomb down here. Alien tech. I cannot disarm it."

Conner rubs at his neck, standing behind Dick. "I'll get it out."

"No. Might have pressure o-or motion sensors." he says quickly, hand coming to his comms. "All Squads! Evacuate to BioShip! Now!"

Kaldur exits the tunnel and looks behind him, seeing the MantaFlier coming up behind him.

It moves closer to him, then under him. He grabs ahold of the top of it and it continues to flee the blast radius as it takes flight.

"You heard Nightwing! Move!" Batman shouts.

Robin and Batgirl turn and head out the nearby doorway, their mentor right behind them.

WonderGirl and WonderWoman fly in, grabbing Aquaman and La'gaan each before flying out the way they came.

Superman flies above the rapidly emptying battlefield. "Listen! Listen to me!" he begs.

"The Metas flee! Victory is at hand!" one screeches.

The BioShip de-camouflages and lands rapidly. The Themyscirans and Atlanteans land first, boarding the ship as soon as the walkway is down. The Bats don't stop running until they are inside the ship.

Inside the ship, La'gaan stops, stunned. "Neptune's beard!"

At the helm and in the sitting area are two Kroloteans.

"Hello, Megan!" one says in a familiar voice. "Knew we forgot somethin'." the two Krolotean forms melt away to M'gann and J'ohnn's preferred forms.

Martian ManHunter passes something to Batman.

He turns to Miss Martian. "Well done Alpha Squad."

"Find a seat. It's time to go." M'gann states, seats appearing from the floor of the BioShip.

Conner jerks, realizing someone is missing. "Wait! Where's Superman?"

Inside the mountain base, he continues to plead with the Kroloteans. "Listen, I'm not trying to hurt you. A bomb is set to explode beneath this base. There are too many of you to carry individually. But if you board your ship, I'll fly you all to safety."

It's only still for a moment before he's hit by one of the Mech's rays.

"Do not trust the Earthling!" one commands.

"Please!" Kal-El begs, only to be hit in the face by one of the beams.

He doesn't flee, however, instead hanging as close as he can without being at risk of being hit in the face again.

In the basement, the bomb begins to beep rapidly. Then it suddenly stops and the machine breaks apart first.

The resulting explosion is massive ripping through everything in a blinding sphere that rapidly catches up with the BioShip.

All of the occupants grunt, though not standing- Conner and Arthur- have to grab onto something to not fall only to get slammed into nearby walls- or ceilings in Arthur's case.

"C'mon, old girl!" M'gann begs.

They manage to fly out of the blast zone as its expansion slows.

The explosion is perfectly visible from above the atmosphere, a massive brightly glowing half-sphere that has blown away any clouds that might have been covering it as well.

Then it's suddenly gone.

In its place is a massive fire stack.

Superman falls, unconscious, before hitting the water.

He comes back to the surface, though on his back.

Aquaman dives down from the shadow over the water, grabbing the other man.

Conner is at the walkway, which is at the choppy water's surface, kneeling down and hand already outstretched.

WonderWoman waits until Conner is inside the ship with Kal over his shoulder before she approaches. The BioShip door closes behind them as she rests his head in her lap. "He's breathing. Pulse is strong." she assures. "He'll be alright."

Conner, kneeling by his side again looks to her. "He didn't save the Kroloteans. He won't be alright with that."

"What just happened?" Cassie asks the front of the ship.

"The Kroloteans were clearly trying to build a new ship." M'gann starts, not seeing Arthur move to stand at the window behind Cassie's chair.

"They had to, Angelfish." La'gaan says. "It was their only way to leave Earth without their Zeta Platforms or their original ship."

"Uh..." Cassie starts, unsure, "but was Aqualad helping them escape? Or luring them into a trap?"

"The bomb was of Alien Origin." Nightwing says confidently. "Yet the Kroloteans clearly knew nothing about it. So where did it come from?" he asks his mentor.

"I have the feeling it may be up to you and your Team to find out." Batman responds.

Dick looks away.

North Pacific; January 7th, 07:07 HAST

Outside the MantaFlier Great White sharks move through the waters, though they're scared away as a hatch opens in the bottom and a smaller ship docks with them.

The door's locking mechanism and Kaldur walks into the larger space, helmet in his left arm's hold. "Father."

"Congratulations, son." the man returns, sharing many physical features with Kaldur, though not his uniquely bright blonde hair or his pale eyes, though his dark hair is cut in a similar style, but greying up to the temples. By contrast, he has a small, well-maintained amount of facial hair and dark brown eyes. He sits at a table with small shows of power, like his cutlery and crockery, his chair, and the masks hanging on the wall. "You did well. I don't suppose Aquaman died in the explosion?" he asks before taking a bit of the food on his fork,

"Unlikely." Kaldur responds.

Black Manta sets his cutlery down, sighing before wiping his face with the fabric napkin. "Pity." he says as he throws it on top of his plate and goes for his glass, but an alarm begins to blare. "If you'll excuse me." He stands, downing the glass in one go and going for his own helmet that rests on a bust in his space as well.

Six blue screens become occupied by Klarion, the Brain, Queen Bee, Lex Luthor, Ra's al Ghul, and Vandal Savage as Black Manta enters the dark room.

"Good morning, Black Manta." Savage greets. "The Kroloteans' competitor our new partner is quite pleased with your efforts, and so is the Light. All agree we made the right choice asking you to replace poor, disgraced Ocean Master. You are officially one with the Light."

Mount Justice, Rhode Island; January 26th, 00:10 EST

(Me, only NOW noticing the time skip: is... is that... like... right? There's no way that's righ- well... *sigh* I just feel particularly stupid for missing it for so long, okay?!?)

Outside the Mountain, stand several Heroes, though they're mostly paired off or in small groups.

"I wish I could go with." Cassie tells her mentor, crossing her arms.

"I doubt your mother would approve." Diana says, placing a hand on her shoulder. "And only the six of us who stand accused need take this odyssey. Though Hawkman insists on accompanying his spouse." the two Thanagarians stand facing each other, one Krolotean between them. "And Icon will act as our advocate." she turns just as Rocket hugs her mentor. "For it seems he is familiar with Intergalactic Trial Law."

"You sure this is necessary?" Captain Adam asks.

"The Guardians of the Universe seem to think so." John replies. "They've sent Hal and Guy ahead to make sure the so-called "high court" of Rimbor will know we come in peace and know we expect a fair trial."

"How long will you be gone?" Conner asks.

"However long it takes to clear our names," Clark places a hand on Conner's shoulder, "Kon-El. But we will be back, little brother."

(EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP TREATING THIS NAME LIKE A GOOD THING!! PLEASE! I find one more fic that does this and I might just break down and cry. Kon-El when translated from Kryptonian back to English means "destroyer of the House of El", OR "Kon" just means "Clone" in Kryptonian- depends on which DC Timeline [and no I don't remember which one is which, sorry] you're using- but either way, it's NOT GOOD! Clark was being an ABSOLUTE jerk when he gave Kon that name. And I know I've said it before, but this version of Conner is NOT Kon-El, anyone who so much as picked up a comic book with him in it... uh, yep, period. Like, seriously, they can call him "Kon-El" or "Conner Kent" all they want, but he ISN'T! So, Clark is 1) an idiot, 2) has no sense of humor, or 3) just plain old SUCKS. I don't know which I believe, I lean closer and closer to option 3 every time I open a season 1 script. But, yeah, NOT a good thing, please keep that in mind if AUs are being made for this fandom- or any- involving fixing Conner and Clark's relationship. Also, BOY do I have things to say about the "little brother" comment.)

M'gann raises her head but doesn't release her uncle. "I'll miss you."

"And I, you M'gann." something seems to cross his mind. "Oh!" he smiles and tilts his head slightly to the side. "Perhaps you could water the plants in my apartment while I'm gone."

"Be careful alright?" Nightwing asks lowly.

"Was about to say the same to you three." Batman admits. "I fear we leave the more dangerous task here on Earth."

All three of them exchange a look. "We'll manage." Dick says with a smile that all three of them share.

"Time to go." John calls out over the beach.

All of the Leaguers coming, and the Krolotean, stand near John as he raises his hand, a green light shooting from his ring to create a bubble around them.

"May the Gods be with you all." Diana says to all of those staying behind just before it closes.

The bubble transforms into a massive ship that even blows wind back at the protéges- and Captain Adam- as they watch it lift up vertically before turning 180° and flying off in a high, nearly vertical path, before quickly breaking through the atmosphere and flying past the Watchtower. Then they disappear in a flash of bright green light.

Adam is the first to walk away.

Nightwing and Batgirl share a look before leaving as well.
