*February 1st, Western Mongolia*
The Light sat in silence, waiting for confirmation that their plans were successful. A GBS broadcast played on a display monitor with Cat Grant delivering the news.
Cat: "GBS has confirmed reports that a contingent of the Justice League has broken up a meta-trafficking ring in outer space and brought home 316 abducted teenagers, most of them now meta-activated. The Meta-Human Youth Center in Taos, New Mexico, is reportedly overwhelmed by the sudden influx. But is making arrangements to expand its services or open other branches."
Lex Luthor cut in as the broadcast cut to commercial break.
Luthor: "I believe it's now time to put our plan in motion."
————————————————————————
*Mansion Safe House*
(Y/n) was laying on the couch watching the same GBS broadcast. Titan was sprawled out nearby sound asleep while Zatanna worked on (Y/n)'s laptop at the kitchen table.
Cat: "In related news, yet another meta-human has joined Beast Boy's squad of young heroes. Known as Cyborg, the new Outsider has already made a splash by releasing this footage that places the blame for this deep space mega-trafficking ring squarely on the back of media magnate, Gretchen Goode. Claiming that the much beloved Gretchen Goode is actually an alien entity. Please be advised, some viewers may find this footage disturbing."
(Y/n) turned the tv off the second the disturbing video of Gretchen Goode merging with Granny Goodness appeared on the screen.
He sighed and snuggled into the couch, relaxing and letting the sound of Zatanna typing fill the room.
Minutes flew by and the former agent was about to fall asleep when he felt somebody straddle his waist. He opened his eyes to see Zatanna placing his laptop on his chest and turning it so he could see the screen.
Zatanna's hair was tied back in a ponytail and she wore a baggy sweater that used to belong to (Y/n). He'd given up trying to get it back a long time ago. Her dark gray leggings were insulated and one of her favorites.
Zatanna: "Stop staring at me, I need you to pick which one you like better."
A small hint of red formed on (Y/n)'s face as he shifted his gaze from Zatanna's face to the laptop screen. He saw two wedding invitations, each designed in a different style.
(Y/n): "Uh... the one on the left. I like the gold lettering and the red roses in the corners. But... don't you think it's a little early to be worrying about the invitations? We haven't even picked a venue or a date."
Zatanna: "I like the left one too. And no it isn't too early, I've been planning this with Artemis, Raquel and M'gann for a while."
(Y/n): "I guess I should pick up the slack and start helping out a little more."
The magician ran her hand through her fiancé's hair and smiled before turning the laptop back around.
Zatanna: "It's not your fault, you've been fairly busy. You can't blame yourself for wanting to rest in the few days of quiet time you get."
The former agent smiled as Zatanna showed him the next tab on the laptop. He carefully studied both images and looked up at the magician in confusion.
(Y/n): "Uhh, Zee... don't you think we should at least tour the venue before we book it?"
Zatanna: "Oh we will be, I'm just seeing how you feel about location."
(Y/n): "Okay, well I won't exactly have a big guest list so it doesn't have to be a big place."
Zatanna: "I know, I don't have a lot of family to invite either."
(Y/n): "We may not have a biological family to invite, but we have a family. They'll be there for us, just like we're there for them. Speaking of everyone, a bunch of superheroes tends to draw a crowd, so we'll need to pick a venue that's semi secluded or at least not in plain view."
Zatanna: "Yeah I was thinking about that too. Alright... I'm just going to say it. I was looking around online and found a really nice place in Italy. My mom took me there before she got sick, it was so much fun. Would you like to look at a few venues in Italy?"
(Y/n): "Yeah I'd love to. It would be like taking a mini vacation."
Zatanna: "Well, no. We'll be working on the wedding if we find a place we like."
(Y/n): "Fine, I guess a business trip to Europe isn't the worst thing."
Zatanna: "Good. I've got a few more things I want to go over before we leave. Are you alright to leave in a couple weeks?"
(Y/n): "Zee, the Division's gone, I'm technically unemployed. I can go whenever you're ready."
Zatanna: "So... what are you going to do for work? I-I mean the League doesn't pay us since the U.N cut our funding and with the Division gone you won't be getting paid... what are we going to do for money?"
(Y/n): "I have more than enough saved up. We'll be fine for the foreseeable future."
Despite his reassurance the former agent could tell his magician was still incredibly worried. He gently took the laptop and placed it on the ground before pulling Zatanna down onto his chest.
The magician cooed softly as the former agent wrapped his arms around her body and gently held her in place.
Zatanna softly moaned as her lips pressed against (Y/n)'s. Her hands grabbed either side of his head and deepened the kiss.
When they broke for air, Zatanna rested her forehead against (Y/n)'s and drew in a deep breath.
Zatanna: "I-I just want to make sure we're in a good position to maybe start a family. I-I know how financially stressful that can be."
(Y/n): "Trust me, we're more than ready on that front."
Zatanna's blue eyes locked onto (Y/n)'s (e/c) ones and she let a small gasp slip out. She was holding her breath and had no idea why; she was completely stunned. Then it suddenly clicked. She noticed (Y/n)'s smile and remembered how desperately she wanted to start a family with him.
Not even a second later her lips were crashing down against his once again, soft moans slipping out and filling the living room.
Titan stood up and stretched before walking away. A few seconds later the lovers heard their dog trot up the stairs.
(Y/n): "You know he's going to jump up on our bed, right?"
Zatanna: "And who taught him that was okay?"
All the former agent could muster was a smug smile. Zatanna rolled her eyes as her fiancé grumbled out an excuse.
(Y/n): "I don't know what you're insinuating. I would never teach our dog to jump up on our bed. I can't believe you'd think that of me-MHMMM!"
Zatanna clamped her hand over (Y/n)'s mouth and smiled.
Zatanna: "I guess you'll just have to make it up to me."
The former agent hummed in approval as Zatanna bit her bottom lip while gazing into his eyes. She tore her hand away from (Y/n)'s lips and kissed him passionately a second later.
Their shared moans increased in volume as Zatanna started lightly thrusting into his crotch.
A minute later she broke the kiss and tore off her sweater, revealing the black bra she was wearing underneath.
Before Zatanna had a chance to do anything else, her phone started ringing.
Both the lovers groaned as they sat up. Zatanna reached for her phone as (Y/n) grabbed her sweater off the floor and handed it to her.
Zatanna: "Hello..."
The former agent couldn't help but laugh when he heard the venom in Zatanna's voice.
Zatanna: "Artemis, slow down. Okay... okay I'm on my way."
The call ended and Zatanna sighed. She sat up and whispered a quick spell. Her outfit changed into a trench coat with a long sleeve shirt underneath and jeans. She stood up and moved towards the kitchen as (Y/n) jumped up from the couch.
(Y/n): "Is everything alright?"
Zatanna: "I don't know. Artemis sounded like she was panicking on the phone. She asked to meet with me and said it was about Wally."
(Y/n): "Well, I'll get changed and come with you. Call M'gann and Raquel as well. Let's meet up with them before we go see her."
Zatanna: "Okay, go get changed, I'll call M'gann."

*Gotham City, Abandoned Ace Chemicals factory*
Dress shoes echoed on the metal grate of the catwalk. The chemical mixing tub below bubbled with strange liquids of various colors.
Maxwell: "This place is a mess, it's a miracle anyone gets anything done in this town."
The elderly man arrived at the control room for the factory and pushed open the door. Once he stepped inside he gently closed the door behind him and locked it.
Inside the abandoned control room was an unconscious criminal. The man was a lieutenant in Black Mask's organization and worked out of the luxury casinos in the upper class neighborhoods of Gotham.
Maxwell turned to a small tray he had set up on the old control panel and looked over the various items from his interrogation kit neatly lined up for him to use along with a glass of water.
The former CIA operative grabbed the glass and splashed the water against the criminal's face and instantly woke him up.
Criminal: "W-what?! Where am I?! Who the fuck are you?!"
Maxwell: "That's not important. What's important is that you know the only way you're leaving this room alive is by answering my questions."
Criminal: "The fuck do you want man?! This better be good because you're a dead man walking! Black Mask will have your head mounted on a wall for this!"
Maxwell: "I doubt that. You see, though I may be older, I have a particular set of skills and friends in very low places. I want to know where your Boss moved the files too."
The criminal thrashed against his restraints and attempted to pull his hands free but couldn't escape the handcuffs.
Criminal: "I don't know what you're talking about!"
Maxwell: "When the White House was sacked by the Black Tusk, they stole an abundance of documents and computers. They weren't able to take them from the White House before the Division and Justice League wiped them out. Those documents were loaded up on trucks and shipped to the FBI field offices all across the east coast. The one heading towards the Gotham City office was stolen by your boss and specifically the crew you command. So I'm going to ask you this one more time. Where are the files?"
Criminal: "Oh, those files..."
The criminal smiled up at Maxwell, water still dripping from his face.
Criminal: "I don't know, and if I did I'd rather die than tell you!"
Maxwell: "We'll see about that."
————————————————————————
(Y/n) took a deep breath as he stepped into the park. He and Zatanna had grouped up with Raquel and M'gann before entering.
The park brought back a series of memories as they approached the large tree Zatanna agreed to meet Dr. Fate each year.
The park was incredibly dark, the scattered lamp posts along the main path did little to provide adequate light.
The group soon arrived at the large tree and quickly passed through the dangling vines that acted as a curtain around the tree.
Artemis immediately turned to face the group and an annoyed expression formed on her face.
Artemis: "Thanks for coming, but I only asked to see Zatanna. Don't any of you have something better to do?"
Raquel: "Sure we could find something, but you know we'd do anything to help you."
Artemis: "You three can't help me, only she can."
The archer jumped forward and grabbed Zatanna's hand, pulling her away from the group.
Artemis: "Why did you bring them?! They're not a part of this."
Zatanna: "They're not here for this part. They're here for the aftermath, assuming we do this at all."
Artemis: "Assuming?!"
Zatanna: "I've told you there are limits to my magic, I wasn't lying. I can't raise the dead."
Raquel stepped forward and she was quickly joined by M'gann and (Y/n).
Raquel: "Raise the dead?!"
Zatanna: "If we do this, it'll leave you devastated all over again. I am asking you, begging you to reconsider."
Silence overtook the group but it didn't last long. Artemis refused to accept what Zatanna was saying, she stepped forward and glared at Zatanna.
Artemis: "You say you can't raise the dead, but you, (Y/n) and I saw Secret rise from her grave. We know the soul exists. And you know I never had a chance to say goodbye."
Her voice broke. Artemis tried to fight off tears but they eventually formed as her hands began to shake.
Artemis: "I never had closure."
Zatanna: "Artemis, we all love you, but that's something you need to work through like anyone who's suffered a loss. I can't raise the dead, I wouldn't lie to you."
Artemis: "NO, I KNOW YOU CAN! I need your magic! I will do anything! If you won't help me then I'll make a deal with Wotan or somebody, I swear!"
Zatanna: "Artemis, nobody has the power to bring the dead back, not in any form that will comfort you. Anyone who claims otherwise is taking advantage of you. It's impossible."
Artemis: "Then send me halfway! Send me to Limbo! We know it's possible, (Y/n) went there in New York!"
(Y/n): "Absolutely not! The only reason I was sent there was because of the Lords of Order! They sent me there to stop me from dying! We are not sending you to death's doorstep in the hopes that they step in again!"
Artemis: "If you don't help, I'll do it myself!"
(Y/n): "Artemis, think about what you're saying! We don't have the power to-"
Artemis: "Bull shit! I've seen what she can do! She's one step away from being a god, I know she can send me there!"
Zatanna: "Stop. I can send you to a version of Limbo, but it won't be the same. This place, it'll be very seductive and nothing you see is real. Your imagination will create everything and everyone you see. It will be very easy to get lost, to want to stay. And if you don't emerge by sunrise, your soul will be trapped there forever."
Artemis: "I understand."
Raquel: "Do you?!"
(Y/n): "Artemis, think about what you're doing! This is insane and reckless!"
The archer glared at the former agent and then pointed at his fiancée. Her words cut like a knife and left the group speechless.
Artemis: "If she died and you didn't get to say goodbye, you'd be doing the same thing if not more! I understand the risk and I accept full responsibility! Now let's get to it."
Zatanna sighed. She really didn't want to try this spell but she knew Artemis wouldn't take no for an answer.
After making sure everyone was far enough away, Zatanna took a step towards Artemis and started the spell. Her hands started glowing bright white as her eyes started glowing blue.
The words came out faster than anyone could comprehend. Not even a second later the light had faded away and everything returned to normal. Artemis looked like she was asleep. Her eyes were closed and her body went limp, Zatanna barely managed to catch her before she hit the ground.
Raquel: "What do we do now?"
Zatanna: "We wait, and we hope nothing goes wrong."

*Oahu, Hawaii*
Kelso slumped down onto the couch in her living room. She's barely spent any time at her house and it was in desperate need of a cleaning.
Despite the house being in need of a cleaning, Kelso turned on the television and put her feet up. She was far too tired to be cleaning and reasoned that with the Division gone she'd have all the time in the world to get her house cleaned up.
As the television continued to replay the latest sport highlights, Kelso found herself staring at her watch. The ominous red ring glowing in place of the usual orange still didn't sit right with her. She didn't trust it, after all, it was Keener's network and she knew all too well what he was capable of.
The absolute last thing she needed was for some hidden trap to be sprung and cause untold horrors on her friends.
As horrible as her line of thought was, she didn't have long to let it rattle around in her head. Her cell phone rang and snapped her out of her depressing thoughts.
Kelso took in a deep breath and answered the phone after noticing the Department of Justice number across the screen. Since the Division was disbanded she's been trying to get (Y/n) recognized as a citizen and not just a "CIA asset". She was also attempting to secure pensions for every surviving agent.
She wasn't having any luck with either of her tasks. The government saw (Y/n) simply as a CIA asset more than anything and didn't want anything to do with him if he wasn't going to be actively working for the agency. They'd been dodging all her questions about him, and to make matters worse Blake and Maxwell had conveniently lost every record of him before he was sent to the Guest House.
As far as the government was concerned, (Y/n) was a CIA asset that was beginning to outlive his usefulness and not an official citizen.
"Good Evening Ms. Kelso."
Kelso: "Any good news?"
"I'm afraid not, though the pension discussion for former agents has been officially added to the Congressional docket for the upcoming session, it will be some time before you get a definitive answer."
Kelso: "What about my unique case? Agent (L/n) was effectively abducted by the CIA and erased from public existence, with the Division gone he's effectively a ghost. I need him recognized as a citizen so he can have a normal life."
"I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do at the moment. I've been ordered to inform you that any bank accounts he may have had as a result of his work with the agency will be frozen at midnight tonight. If he continues to cause trouble, domestically or internationally, we will be forced to take him into custody."
Kelso: "You have to give him citizenship! You can't just exile someone who saved the country!"
"It's out of my hands. Without any documentation or living relatives, I can't help him. The fact is, the new government is looking to cement its position, and they view agent (L/n) as a loose cannon."
Kelso: "He does have living relatives!"
Kelso was kicking herself. She couldn't stop herself from blurting it out and had no idea what to say next.
"Alani Kelso, you are aware that it is a federal offense to lie to me, are you not?"
Kelso: "I am, I'm (Y/n)'s relative. I adopted him, we just didn't get a chance to finish the paperwork before the Black Tusk attacked."
The phone operator was silent, Kelso was holding her breath and could feel her heart pounding against her chest.
"Fine. I'll submit as much of the paperwork as I can but I'll need you two to come to the Justice Department and fill out the rest."
Kelso: "Thanks so much."
The second the call ended Kelso let out a massive sigh of relief. Her heart was still racing as the thought of formally adopting (Y/n) crossed her mind.
She immediately rushed off and began fumbling through old file boxes in her home office. Kelso needed to find any document that proved she was a legal guardian of (Y/n) before he turned 18.
Her heart sank the second she realized how difficult that was going to be. He was always kept close to the agency and she never bothered with anything official when she freed him from Blake and Maxwell.
Just over an hour later, Kelso managed to find (Y/n)'s hospital records from when he was 14. A detailed list of the cigar burns was in the file along with a list of every other injury he'd suffered up to that point.
After ensuring that was the only major document she had of (Y/n), Kelso activated her watch and accessed Keener's network. Several minutes later she had altered (Y/n)'s status in the CIA's files so it showed him being transferred into her care after the hospital visit.
She hoped that would be enough to convince the government that she was his legal guardian.

*Markovia*
Deep inside a Markovia federal prison, Fredrick DeLamb was mopping the cafeteria floor along with several of his criminal associates.
The group was being watched over by a few armed guards and each criminal had inhibitor collars on.
Suddenly a massive boom tube opened up a few feet away. DeLamb took the opportunity and smashed the wooden mop against the closest guard, knocking him down long enough for the criminals to rush into the boom tube.
Alarms rang out as the boom tube snapped shut. By the time reinforcements arrived in the cafeteria, the small group of criminals were nowhere to be found.
———————————————————————-
(Y/n) was pacing back and forth. He felt useless and absolutely hated it.
Artemis was still unconscious, wrapped up in her magic induced dream as the night dragged on.
M'gann and Raquel were just as uneasy but we're better at hiding it. Zatanna was still uncertain everything would work and she feared that Artemis would resent them for the rest of their lives.
(Y/n): "We should wake her up soon."
M'gann: "No, give her the full time to work things out. I'll wake her up when she's ready."
(Y/n): "I hate feeling useless."
M'gann: "You're not useless, you're here for Artemis and she's going to need everyone of us when she wakes up."
The group stayed silent for some time. The distant noise of the surrounding city filling the empty park.
(Y/n) scanned his surroundings in an attempt to keep himself busy. He really wasn't looking for anything or expecting to see anyone, but falling back on his training helped ease his mind and slow down his rapidly beating heart.
The darkness enveloped everything just off the small stone path and being under the cover of the large tree didn't help his vision. Still, something was bothering him. He felt a chill run down his back and immediately spun around.
About fifty yards away was a glowing white flower in the middle of an open field. (Y/n) was certain the flower wasn't there a few moments ago and took several steps towards it.
The flower then disappeared in the blink of an eye and (Y/n) was left wondering if his mind was playing tricks on him.
The wind picked up for a brief moment but quickly died down a few seconds later. The tree branches swayed in the wind just long enough for everyone to look up.
Suddenly Artemis shot up and gasped. Everyone turned to face the archer who was smiling as she stood up.
Artemis: "The spirits have done it all in one night..."
The group rushed to Artemis and quickly wrapped the archer in a hug. Artemis let out a shaky breath as the group tightened their hug. Tears slowly ran down Artemis's face as she relaxed and steadied her breathing.
Zatanna: "Artemis... are you alright?"
Artemis: "I'm okay... and I'm really grateful, Zatanna. I got what I needed. Thank you."
Artemis gently wiped her tears away after the group released her from the hug.
(Y/n): "Are you sure you're alright?"
Artemis smiled and nodded her head. The group felt a massive wave of relief wash over them as Artemis confirmed that she was fine.
A few minutes later, the group was ready to leave the park. M'gann took Artemis and led her down the path with Zatanna, Raquel and (Y/n) following a short distance behind, just out of earshot.
Raquel: "Wow. I still can't believe you sent her to Limbo."
Zatanna: "I did no such thing. I told Artemis I didn't have that power, and I meant it."
Raquel: "So... M'gann helped her?"
Zatanna: "My spell was little more than a dramatic light show that caused her to fall asleep. M'gann created an open space in Artemis's mind, but Artemis created or imagined everything she saw and experienced. We just gave her the chance to work things out for herself. We'll tell her someday. Or, maybe we won't."
————————————————————————
(Y/n)'s cell phone rang the second he and Zatanna walked in their front door.
It was Dick. The former Robin immediately told them to turn in the news. The pair did so the second they entered their living room.
The GBS broadcast popped up immediately, the Markovian royal palace was in the center of the screen. Tanks and other military vehicles were scattered around the palace grounds as a limousine slowly drove up the winding road to the castle.
Cat Grant: "It's being called an international crisis."
The screen switched to a cell phone recording one of the castles tourists took earlier in the evening.
Cat Grant: "This is cell phone footage from earlier this evening."
(Y/n) silently cursed when he saw Fredrick DeLamb climb out of the limousine in his Royal dress clothes. The former regent slowly walked into the castle with the guards saluting him as he passed.
Cat Grant: "Frederick DeLamb, also known as Baron Bedlam, escaped from a Markovian prison and staged a coup with the help of meta-humans and members of the military loyal to him. No word yet on the status or location of King Gregor Markov. Excuse me, this just in. Fredrick DeLamb has released a video statement."
The screen changed once again and DeLamb was standing behind a podium with the Royal crest engraved in it.
DeLamb: "Good morning. I have a short statement. I, Baron Frederick DeLamb, have taken the Markovian Crown for the hood of my nation, in order to save it from the weak rule of misguided nephew Prince Gregor."
Cat Grant: "United Nations Secretary General Lex Luthor had this to say."
The screen suddenly cut to the U.N where Luthor was addressing the recent coup in the general assembly.
Luthor: "No, we will not lift U.N restrictions that prevent the Justice League from entering Markovia. This is an internal matter and there are good people on both sides. The solution involves peaceful negotiations, not super heroics."
(Y/n) turned the television off and sighed. He turned to face Zatanna and activated ANNA a minute later.
(Y/n): "Dick's going to need my help. I'm sorry but you can't come with us, this is far too public and the League can't afford to suffer any more bad publicity."
Zatanna: "I know. I'll head to the Watchtower and keep track of your movements the best I can. Stay safe and be careful."
(Y/n): "I promise I will. I'll look out for the girls as well. I promise that everyone will be coming home."
————————————————————————
Kelso arrived in Metropolis a few hours after the Markovian coup d'état began. She called (Y/n) and made sure he was enroute to back up the Outsiders and Team before putting her own plan into motion.
She opened the door to a small run down apartment and stepped inside. The room wouldn't pass any health inspection but Kelso didn't need it to.
Over the course of several years she had converted this small apartment to a safe house. Weapon cases lined the walls and two workbenches were filled with tools and ammunition crates stuffed underneath.
With the government raiding and destroying every official Division safe house, Kelso was left with very little in terms of options.
She wanted to assemble a group of former agents to help her with this mission but had no idea how to contact any of them or if she could even trust them.
After sorting through her gear and making sure everything was in working order, she laid out a large map of the LexCorp tower in downtown Metropolis.
————————————————————————
Dick: "I'm glad you could make it."
(Y/n): "Well, you wouldn't stand much of a chance without me."
The former Robin rolled his eyes as the former agent checked over his gear one last time.
The Team and the Outsiders assembled in the Blüdhaven Warehouse. The large group of heroes were quickly going over their roles for the imminent mission to Markovia.
(Y/n) agreed to stay in reserve and shadow the Outsider's and to step in if they needed his help.
Mary was initially hostile to the idea, thinking that (Y/n) wasn't trusting her and was only there to keep an eye on her.
It took the agent several minutes to convince her that they couldn't afford a mistake and he was there to help.
Nightwing: "Alright, everyone knows their jobs. We all need to keep a level head and remember our training, we do that and everything will work out."
(Y/n): "Get to your vehicles, let's move people!"
Within a minute everyone had boarded the Supercycle or bio-ship and started the journey to Markovia.
About halfway through the flight, (Y/n) pulled Mary aside. She immediately crossed her arms and became defensive.
Mary: "What? I don't need your protection, we can handle this."
(Y/n): "I know, and I'm not here because I think you can't handle this mission, I'm here because we need to guarantee success. So I need you to listen very carefully to what I'm about to say and I need you to keep your reaction under control."
Mary: "Fine, what do I need to know?"
————————————————————————
Just across the Markovian border, a small convoy of large trucks were driving towards the border.
In the back of each truck we're several former Division agents. Unlike the majority of agent's, these agents abandoned the Division in New York. Feeling betrayed and using the collapsing JTF as an excuse to abandon their posts and sell their skills to the highest bidder.
The rogue agents checked their gear and secured the filters in their gas masks.
As the majority of the mercenaries were fixing their gear, one moved to the center of the truck and opened the lid on a large weapons crate. He carefully examined the large number of hand held gas grenades.
The gas bombs contained the Eclipse Virus that ravaged New York. The three trucks contained enough chemical weapons to wipe out the small country.
The vehicles shook as they rumbled down the small forested road, eventually arriving at a checkpoint on the border.
The first truck stopped at the checkpoint, the drivers of each truck were fully dressed in civilian clothes and spoke every language in the surrounding countries. The unsuspecting border guards looked over the paperwork and then gave the all clear without bothering to inspect the back.
As the drivers continued down the small dirt road, the lead truck driver took out his radio and called to the rest of the rogue agents.
"We're through the last checkpoint, we'll be in the capital in under an hour. Be ready."

Once Zatanna arrived at the Watchtower, she could instantly tell how tense the situation was.
Black Canary, Green Arrow, Captain Marvel and Red Tornado were standing on the observation deck, watching the repeat broadcast of Luthor's latest announcement at the U.N.
Zatanna: "Any updates?"
Black Canary: "Nothing. Our teams are enroute, but we don't have any information besides what's been shown on the news."
Zatanna: "I hate sitting on the sidelines, I always feel so helpless."
The magician crossed her arms and glared at the holographic projection on Luthor speaking at the U.N. Black Canary couldn't help but smile as she realized the similarities between Zatanna and (Y/n) when they're stuck on the sidelines.
Green Arrow: "Any hope of getting reinforcements to Markovia, from friendly agents or something?"
Zatanna: "I doubt it. I tried to call Kelso before I came here but I couldn't get a hold of her. Even Jessica Kandel doesn't know where she went."
Red Tornado: "We will have to hope that our Teams are enough."
The room fell silent as everyone fixed their gaze on the holographic projection of the globe. Zatanna had somewhat picked up (Y/n)'s habit of leaving nothing to chance and hated hoping for the best while doing nothing.
She snuck her hand inside her magicians jacket and made sure her pocket watch was in place. Holding it helped ease a little bit of stress but her mind was still filled with doubt.
With no other option, the heroes were forced to wait and hope for the best. All while their friends and colleagues rushed to the small European country.
