3rd Person POV:

Sirens sounded in the middle of the night, waking up everyone at the Bialyan military base. The large base was used for research and development of new technologies intended to aid Queen Bee's forces in combat.

(Y/n)'s shattered ISAC watch and node were shipped to this base after his rescue and scientists have been attempting to gain access to the Division satellite network as well as replicate the technology for Bialyan forces.

Bialyan soldiers scrambled to man their defences as large sections of the base blew up. A squad of soldiers exited their barracks and moved to secure the vehicle depo, only to see it erupt in a massive explosion the second they laid eyes on it.

Suddenly suppressed gunfire rang out, cutting down the squad as they each revived several well placed shots to the neck and head.

As reinforcements arrived to replace their slain comrades they saw several Hunters emerge from the fire. The Bialyan reinforcements didn't live long enough to report on their attackers position or numbers.

The group of five Hunters cut through the facility, destroying every bit of long range communication equipment so any survivors couldn't call for help while they were hunted down like animals.

Eventually a group of scientists and soldiers were all that remained. They barricaded themselves inside the large R&D lab, hoping to hold out until reinforcements arrived.

The Hunters found them. The hangar door blew open and crashed down, creating a wall of dust that blinded the defenders for a brief moment and allowed the Hunters to throw smoke grenades into the large building.

Immediately after the smoke grenades detonated the Hunters charged in. Shooting the remaining soldiers before taking out their combat axes to deal with the unarmed scientists.

Screams filled the building as scientists were cut down left and right. They tried to flee the building but had nowhere to go. By the time the Hunters were finished, blood was all over the facility, scattered across the walls, floor, computers and furniture.

The Hunters then entered the main research lab and retrieved (Y/n)'s ISAC watch and node from the lab. The Hunters placed a large explosive charge in the center of the building after securing (Y/n)'s watch and node in a bag.

The second the Hunters exited the building they loaded up in a helicopter landing on the outskirts of the base. A minute later the large explosive detonated, completely wiping out the R&D building.

(Y/n) POV:

I'm not even going to wait for my suspension to start before I go on vacation. The second the plane touched down, M'gann, Artemis, Zatanna and I boarded the bio-ship and flew to Gotham where we dropped Artemis off at her mothers apartment. A few minutes after that we were on the Watchtower.

Kelso handed me a new ISAC watch to replace the one I lost in the embassy siege. I wore my usual office suit with the notable exception of the tie. I couldn't be bothered to put it on.

Zatanna, M'gann and I arrived through the zeta tube and walked out into the observation deck. We were greeted by Beast Boy, who rushed to hug M'gann, Kaldur (Aquaman), Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Black Canary.

Kaldur: "It's good to see you safe, (Y/n)."

(Y/n): "Thanks, Kaldur. I appreciate it."

Batman: "We need to have a talk."

(Y/n): "About what?"

Batman: "Not you. Zatanna, into the conference room. Leaguers only."

(Y/n) heard Zatanna let out a shaky breath and he smiled at her in an attempt to reassure her that everything would be fine.

Kaldur: "(Y/n), this may take a few hours. You're more than welcome to wait, but-"

(Y/n): "It's fine, Kaldur. I have a stop to make."

(Y/n)'s POV:

I watched Kaldur, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman enter the conference room. Black Canary came up to me and gently placed a hand on my shoulder.

Black Canary: "M'gann mentioned what happened. She didn't give any details, she just said you may need to talk. I'm ready whenever you are."

(Y/n): "Thanks, I think I'll call soon and we can set up a time to talk. I'm still processing everything, Ellie, the marine captain... I need to see her parents."

Black Canary: "I can't imagine how hard that's going to be."

(Y/n): "I... I'm not sure if I'll be strong enough to get through the whole thing without crying."

Black Canary: "It's okay to cry. There's nothing wrong with it."

(Y/n): "Please... please promise me you'll go easy on Zee. She's lost so much... even the thought of losing someone comes close to breaking her."

Black Canary: "I... I'll do my best to stick up for her."

(Y/n): "Thanks."

As Black Canary turned and walked into the conference room M'gann and Gar (Beast Boy) came over to me.

It just hit me that Qurac was where Gar grew up. It was the only home he had before his mother was killed by Queen Bee. He's lost both his homes. First the Cave and now his mothers ranch.

(Y/n): "Gar... I'm so sorry. We tried to stop them, we fought as hard as we could."

Garfield: "I-it's okay. There wasn't much left there for me anyway. Queen Bee... she's a plague. She needs to be stopped."

M'gann: "We will bring her to justice. It's just going to take time."

I wanted to comfort Gar but there are some things I need to do. I've got to visit Ellie's parents before the marine corp delivers the news.

(Y/n): "I'm sorry, but I have to leave. I'll see you two later."

M'gann: "Goodbye (Y/n). I-I'm so sorry about Ellie and we're here for you, the entire League is as well."

(Y/n): "No, they weren't."

*Dallas, Texas*

Ellie's parents lived in a small house in Dallas. It's quite nice and has a small garden out front and is in a nice neighborhood of the city.

I walked up the stone walkway just as two marines dressed in their dress uniforms knocked on the front door.

I fixed my watch so it was visible and adjusted the badge clipped to my belt. About a minute after the marines knocked on the door a man and a woman opened it. By the sad look in their eyes they knew Ellie was gone. They'd seen the invasion on the news and somehow just knew their daughter was gone.

Ellie's mother broke down crying as the marine passed the folded flag to her husband.

Mr. Taylor: "Who... who are you?"

(Y/n): "Agent (Y/n) (L/n). I'm with the Strategic Homeland Division. I-I was with Ellie when it happened."

Mrs. Taylor: "H-how did our girl die?"

(Y/n): "That doesn't matter, it was quick and she didn't suffer. She died a hero, she helped save so many lives. Your daughter was one of the bravest and strongest people in the world. She didn't think twice about putting herself in danger so others wouldn't have to. I may not have known her for long but I can tell you she was a great leader and a better friend."

Mrs Taylor: "Th-thank you..."

I sighed and fished the dog tags out of my jacket pocket, flipping them around in my hand and running my thumb over the face of it.

(Y/n): "Ellie, wanted me to give you these. She said you would want them."

I handed the dog tags to Ellie's father and watched as he studied the tags. I made sure to clean off Ellie's blood before coming here.

Both of Ellie's parents started crying when they examined the dog tags. I couldn't help but feel responsible. I promised her we would get out, that everything would be fine. She was waiting for the League to save us. I even started to believe they'd rescue us, that they'd swoop in and stop the invasion in its tracks.

I wanted to get Ellie home to her family.

3rd Person POV:

Zatanna wasn't having a good time. The second she walked into the League meeting she knew it wasn't going to end well. The League started talking about obscure events and completely ignoring the Bialyan invasion.

Eventually Wonder Woman stood up from her chair and Zatanna knew she was in deep trouble.

Wonder Woman: "I think it's time we address the elephant in the room. Most of us already know, but for those of us who don't, this GBS segment covers what the public and United Nations know."

Wonder Woman sat back down and the holographic projector positioned in the center of the League's U shaped table activated and showed G. Gordon Godfrey in his usual studio with a map of Qurac and Bialya on the screen.

Godfrey: "And we're back folks. For those of you who are just joining us, we're covering the Bialyan incursion into the former state of Qurac. Yes, the rumours are true, the Quraci government has aligned themselves with the Bialyan monarch under Queen Bee and has accepted the annexation."

Suddenly the map disappeared and was replaced with a picture of Zatanna facing off against Psimon and Queen Bee.

Everyone that wasn't aware of Zatanna's recent adventure into the form state of Qurac was now staring at the magican. Zatanna for her part had her eyes locked on the broadcast.

Godfrey: "Now, instead of approaching the United Nations and presenting a solution to the conflict, a solution that could save lives. The Justice League opted to send its resident magic user, Zatanna Zatara, to infiltrate the building Queen Bee was using to visit the people of Qurac and attempted to force her will upon Queen Bee."

Zatanna started to panic on the inside as everyone turned to face her.

Godfrey: "The people of Qurac were facing their most trying times and entering the most difficult moments of their lives, and what does the League do? They send one of their members to attack an absolute monarch without any hesitation or thought as to what the fallout from such an attack could cause. Think people, what if Zatanna had killed Queen Bee, or severely injured her. We'd have Bialya, the strongest regional power in the area, completely leaderless in the middle of an invasion where they're temporarily internationally isolated! That could ignite a civil war, leaving an unpredictable amount of people dead."

As the broadcast neared the end, Zatanna slumped back down in her chair. Her mind was racing and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Shurley people wouldn't believe the broadcast.

Godfrey: "This proves what I've been saying all along, the League needs to be restricted further and act only when the United Nations calls for their assistance. They're loose cannons and need to be treated as such. We need to act quickly before people die."

As the broadcast turned off Wonder Woman and Kaldur stood up. Wonder Woman glared at the magician who felt like her entire world was slipping away.

Zatanna: "W-wait, you don't actually believe that do you?"

Captain Atom: "While we know you weren't there to kill Queen Bee, it's not hard to imagine you crossing that line."

Zatanna: "There were people trapped! (Y/n) was one of them! I had to help!"

Wonder Woman: "And what if (Y/n) was killed? Or perhaps permanently enslaved under Queen Bee or Psimon's mind control? Given how you lashed out when he was taken by Natalya, I wouldn't put killing Queen Bee past you."

Zatanna recoiled back into her chair. Everyone in the room was looking at her and some were incredibly angry.

Zatanna: "I-I would never kill someone. I just wanted to save him, save (Y/n) and everyone with him in the embassy. I can't lose him... a-and at least I went to help the people trapped in the embassy! You left them for dead!"

Black Lightning: "We couldn't go. Those who enforce the law must respect it. We can't go around breaking every restriction on our charter the moment it's inconvenient."

Batman: "The Justice League can't operate if the public doesn't trust us to do our jobs. Our very public profile means that everything we do is subject to criticism. You've destroyed that trust by violating the charter, we trusted you as a member of the League to follow its guidelines and restrictions."

Zatanna: "Are you forgetting where Rocket, Kaldur and I came from! We were on YOUR covert ops team, the Team was created so you could break the charter when you needed to!"

Superman: "It was created to allow our young heroes a chance to learn away from the spotlight. Any breaking of the charter was done strictly because we had no other choice."

Kaldur: "The Team's history and existence is a topic we can discuss another time. Though Zatanna broke the charter and subjugated the League to even more restrictions, her heart was in the right place. She was attempting to save lives, and if we punish her for that then-"

Batman: "Then we're showing the Team that disobeying orders has consequences. We can't let this go unpunished."

Flash: "Lex Luthor is already calling for another vote to put further restrictions on us. If this resolution passes in its current form then we won't be able to leave our country of origin without first informing the United Nations of where we are going and how long we'll be there."

Wonder Woman: "I think we need to demonstrate to the public that we can be held accountable without the government forcing us to be."

Flash: "Are you suggesting that we kick Zatanna out of the League?"

Black Canary: "This is going a little far, don't you think?"

Wonder Woman: "No, I don't. At the very least we need to suspend her. This blatant disregard for the League's mandate cannot go unpunished, and this punishment must be visible to the public so they know we will hold ourselves accountable."

Zatanna: "Don't I get to defend my actions?!"

Captain Atom: "I think you've done enough."

Back in Dallas, (Y/n) was leaving Ellie's home after spending as much time as he could bear with Ellie's parents, attempting to comfort them any way he could.

It hurt him so much seeing them cry, he blamed himself for Ellie's death. He was a Division agent. He was supposed to be worth a hundred soldiers, supposed to do the things the regular armed forces couldn't. Sure he was the main reason the embassy held on for as long as it did and everyone in the Division and the government knew it was a hopeless situation from the start so nobody would blame him for the outcome. But the fact that he failed to keep a promise, failed to keep someone safe, it stung.

As (Y/n) arrived back in his apartment in Gotham he got a phone call from M'gann. He sighed, wiped his watery eyes and cleared his throat before answering.

M'gann: "(Y/n), you need to get to the Watchtower. The League... they're all turning on Zatanna and blaming her for us getting spotted in Qurac while rescuing you."

(Y/n): "I'll be right there! Don't let anyone leave!"

*Small Time Skip*

M'gann was asked by Kaldur and Wonder Woman to assemble the entire Team and wait on the main observation deck by the zeta tubes.

The entire Team was wondering what they were doing there. They had all seen the news but nobody expected the League to take Godfrey's accusation seriously.

The zeta tube suddenly activated as the computer announced (Y/n)'s arrival. The agent stepped out of the zeta tube in his full combat gear without his helmet on. M'gann struggled to speak after she noticed (Y/n)'s eyes filled with anger.

M'gann: "(Y/n)... w-what are you going to do?"

(Y/n): "Show these hypocritical cowards what a real hero looks like."

Without saying another word (Y/n) walked towards the League private conference room.

Inside the room the League continued to debate about what to do. The majority wanted Zatanna suspended indefinitely while others like Black Canary and Green Arrow argued on Zatanna's behalf. Dr. Fate was notably silent.

Wonder Woman: "If the United Nations calls for Zatanna's arrest, we can not defend her."

Zatanna: "What?! Why not?! You would stick together if it was anyone else! Why does everyone here have it out for me?!"

Superman: "We don't have it out for you, it's just that-"

Batman: "It's (Y/n), we don't trust him and you're too close to him."

Zatanna: "Has he given any reason to not be trusted? No, he hasn't. Face it, you just want ISAC. You have from the very beginning. You're terrified that a group has enough power to rival you."

Batman: "He's killed countless people, he constantly ignores League orders, that much is evident from the Keener crisis. He's a loose cannon that we know nothing about. We don't even know his past, he could be programmed like Superboy was, programmed to turn on us at any moment."

Green Arrow: "That's a massive stretch don't you think? Despite us constantly mistreating him and taking advantage of the blind trust he gives us he still does the right thing."

Black Canary: "On top of that, his past isn't a secret. Not anymore. We recently found out how he was brought back to life. After the car crash that killed his family, he was experimented on. The Division, or the shadowy factions within the government, took him to a place called the Guest House. They injected him with a chemical mixture containing Reach blood from an ancient explorer. That along with an experimental drug designed to give him enhanced strength and insurance that only increases as he grows older."

The League studied the holographic version of the medical report that (Y/n) revived from Ortega. Zatanna was shocked that Black Canary would just put this out in front of the League without getting (Y/n)'s permission first.

Before anyone else could speak, Zatanna decided to reveal the last hit of information not on the medical report. (Y/n) had told her but had yet to bring it up to anyone else as he wasn't sure what would happen.

Zatanna: "There's more. Down in the Guest House, (Y/n) entered a room labeled Project Vanguard. It was the Division's attempt at making a super soldier. The enhanced strength and healing he was given when he was five was designed to increase as he grew and make him into some type of super soldier like Deathstroke was originally intended to be. The formula was called GH-14. When examining the chemical contraptions and high tech experimental medical equipment one of the machines activated and injected him with another dosage of GH-14."

Everyone was in shock as the realization of what that meant slowly dawned on them.

Black Canary: "Zatanna, are you saying that (Y/n) is getting super strength?"

Zatanna: "Yes. To what extent I don't know. He already broke all his personal bests in the gym and his injuries from Qurac are almost impossible to see now and it's been just under 24 hours since he sustained them."

Captain Atom: "I don't think we can trust him. Who knows what the drug will do to him long term. We need to push him aside and keep a close watch on him."

Zatanna: "That's your take away?! Out of everything we just explained! I had to go to Bialya or Qurac or whatever it's called now! I had to save him, we couldn't take the chance that Queen Bee would be able to replicate the drug using (Y/n)'s blood! On top of that (Y/n)'s a hero, he did everything he could to save lives while we abandoned those people to die!"

Batman: "Having powers doesn't make you a hero."

Suddenly the door slid open and (Y/n) stormed in. Wonder Woman, Kaldur and Batman jumped up and turned to face the enraged agent.

(Y/n): "For once we agree on something."

Wonder Woman: "Agent, this is a private meeting!"

(Y/n): "Oh is that so. So you can freely discuss how to punish Zatanna for doing what everyone on this tower should've done?"

Kaldur: "(Y/n), please don't make this worse."

(Y/n): "I'm sorry Kaldur. I respect you, but I find it a little infuriating that the hypocrisy of the League knows no bounds."

Batman: "That's enough. We know of the countless people and aliens you've killed while working with the League. You have no right to charge in here and lecture us."

(Y/n): "At least I don't pretend to be something I'm not. I know I'm an agent of the Division. I know what my job is and every time someone sees me they know what it is I do. I save people."

Wonder Woman: "We respect the laws that govern us. If we continuously violate them, then we are no better than the criminals we catch."

(Y/n): "So you sit on the sidelines and let people die? Our actions define our legacy. We don't sit back and let people die. We do whatever it takes to save as many lives as we can."

Wonder Woman: "It's not your goal that's the problem, agent. It's your method."

Batman: "With the number of lines you cross in the name of the greater good, you can't call yourself a hero."

(Y/n): "Coming from you that's really fucking ignorant. You aren't a hero, almost none of you are! ISAC, show them what a hero looks like!"

ISAC swiftly bypassed the Leagues computer system and displayed an image of Ellie Taylor in her marine uniform.

(Y/n): "Marine captain Ellie Taylor is a hero! And more of one than anyone on this tower will ever be! She gave her life even though she shouldn't have had to! I volunteered to create a diversion after we learned that YOU, the god damned JUSTICE LEAGUE, wasn't coming to our rescue! She wouldn't let me do it alone because she knew that one person creating a diversion alone had no chance of coming home!"

The League was silent as (Y/n) caught his breath. After a short moment the agent continued. Tears threatened to run down his face as he screamed his point across.

(Y/n): "So we did it. I accepted that we both had almost no chance of escape and would most likely end up permanently running from the Bialyan's, trapped with no way out of the country. Then Ellie changed things. Ellie got me to believe that the Justice League wouldn't let civilians be massacred by the Bialyan's and that we just needed to hold out until you arrived to save the day. She died in my arms! Choking on her own blood while I begged her to stay with me! I promised her I'd get her home safe! I wanted to get her home to her parents! She gave her life, died a hero while you sat up on this fucking tower and debated how to look good for the public!"

(Y/n) wiped away a tear before using his watch to deactivate the holographic projector.

(Y/n): "The thought of you calling yourselves heroes after what went down in the last week, ITS FUCKING DISGUSTING! I'm done here, you're all fucking pathetic."

Zatanna jumped up and started walking towards the exit as (Y/n) turned and left the room.

Zatanna: "I'm taking a leave of absence. Announce whatever you want or vote to kick me out, I don't care. But we need to ask ourselves if we really did everything we could've during the invasion and to be honest, that shouldn't be a difficult question."

Zatanna turned for a final time and exited the room after (Y/n), leaving the League in complete silence for a short moment.

Green Arrow: "They're right, things need to change. If you vote to kick Zatanna out, I'll hand in my resignation on the spot."

Black Canary: "As will I, but that's not the point. We need to be better."

Outside on the observation deck, M'gann and the Team watch as (Y/n) and Zatanna storm out of the conference room.

(Y/n): "What a bunch of hypocrites. I can't believe them."

Zatanna: "Hey, it's done. Let's just go home. We can take that vacation we've been talking about. We can go anywhere we want, just the two of us."

(Y/n): "I-I'd like that. Thank you so much, Zee."

Zatanna and (Y/n) quickly hugged before turning to face the Team.

M'gann: "What happened in there?"

(Y/n): "Something long in the making."

M'gann: "Is it over?"

(Y/n): "No, not by a long shot."

M'gann: "Zatanna, are you okay?"

Zatanna: "Yeah. Yeah I'm alright."

Wonder Girl: "What are you guys going to do?"

Zatanna turned to (Y/n) and smiled at him, gazing into his eyes for a short moment before the pair turned their attention back to the Team.

Zatanna: "We're going on a long awaited vacation."

Wonder Girl: "Really?! Where?"

(Y/n): "Anywhere we want."

M'gann: "You two have earned it. No matter what the League decides, you two are always welcome to work with the Team."

(Y/n): "Thanks M'gann. We really appreciate it."

Before the conversation could continue, Black Canary walked out of the conference room.

Black Canary: "I'm glad I caught you two. I volunteered to break the news to you."

Zatanna's heart stopped for a brief moment as (Y/n) narrowed his gaze at the entrance to the conference room.

Black Canary: "The League voted to suspend Zatanna for three months. They also banned (Y/n) from the Watchtower for the duration of Zatanna's suspension."

(Y/n): "Like I'm willingly going to come back to this floating clubhouse."

Zatanna: "Well, I suppose it could be worse."

(Y/n): "Let's go home. We've both had a long day."

Zatanna grabbed (Y/n)'s hand and held it tight as he led her to the zeta tube.

After a short walking through their building the pair arrived at their apartment.

(Y/n) POV:

I locked the door after Zatanna and I entered. Within a minute we were both washing up and getting ready for bed.

The second the lights turned off and we were under the covers, I pulled Zatanna close to me. She let out a soft moan as I pressed my lips against hers. Once we broke the kiss she snuggled into the side of my body and wrapped her legs around my closest one.

Zatanna: "Where do you think we should go?"

(Y/n): "I'm taking you to Europe. Paris, London, Berlin, we'll stop and spend a few days in any city we want."

Zatanna: "I'd like that."

As I closed my eyes I felt Zatanna run her hand along my chest and explore my abs. I let her run her hand along my entry body before I broke the silence.

(Y/n): "What's the matter?"

Zatanna's hand suddenly stopped and retreated close to her body. I let out an amused giggle before I reassured her that I didn't mind. Her hand slowly came back to my abs as she let out a stress filled sigh.

Zatanna: "I just keep expecting your body to change. After the drug, I just don't know what to expect, you were already bordering on superhuman abilities with how fast your body heals."

(Y/n): "It's okay, Zee. It just made me a little stronger."

Zatanna: "You and I both know that's an understatement. I've been watching you in the gym. Your endurance is through the roof and you're blowing all your personal best out of the water. A-and you're holding back. I've seen you fight and train like your life depended on it, without this second dosage you broke three punching bags in the Cave after we thought Artemis died."

(Y/n): "I-I know I'm getting stronger, but I just don't want things to change."

Zatanna: "I know, but it's amazing nonetheless."

(Y/n): "At least you won't have to worry about me in combat anymore."

Zatanna: "Enhanced strength does not mean enhanced durability. You can still get shot and still get hurt. Even if you couldn't, I would still worry for you."

(Y/n): "I know you would. I worry for you, every time you go on a mission."

Zatanna: "That's cute, you know I'm stronger than you right?"

(Y/n): "Yes, you may be more powerful than me, but I'm a profe-Mhmm!"

Zatanna swiftly shifted her body on top of me and smashed her lips against mine, muffling my sentence."

Zatanna: "Mhmm... I know you are. You're my professional."

Zatanna cupped my cheeks with her hands and pulled me into a controlling kiss. I caved into her and let Zatanna have her fun before we slipped away into a slumber for the night.

3rd Person POV:

Kelso and Sutton are in the command center of the HUB. The pair are looking at a list of every missing agent on the large holographic projector. The two experienced agents are talking in hushed voices, attempting to casually keep their conversation private.

Since Alicia Coswald's disappearance from the Fridge, several agents and key JTF personnel have vanished without a trace.

Sutton: "No sign of foul play, no warning or any attempt at communication whatsoever."

Kelso: "I don't like the looks of this. We have never had this many people go dark at one time."

Sutton: "Maybe they're all just taking a vacation, or some personal time."

Kelso: "Do you really believe that?"

Sutton: "No, not even for a moment."

Kelso: "What do we do? We have agents disappearing all across the globe and no explanation as to why. Our top brass doesn't even seem to care. When I gave the report to the suits in Washington they just shrugged it off, it was like they already knew."

Sutton: "You ever get that sinking feeling that we're approaching something big but you don't know what?"

Kelso: "Yeah, I have that now. Everyone but us seems to know what's going on."

Sutton: "It begs the question, who can we trust?"

Kelso: "At the moment, I don't trust anyone around us."

Sutton: "Have you seen them watching you?"

Kelso: "A few times now. Every time I try to get close enough to identify them they simply disappear. They're like ghosts."

Sutton: "Well, we both know something is coming, and we know it's something big. We just need to find out what, before it's too late."

Kelso: "I've got a bad feeling about this."

(Y/n) POV:

I woke up the following morning to Zatanna shifting herself on top of me. When I opened my eyes I was greeted by the sight of Zatanna's beautiful face and disheveled hair from last night.

(Y/n): "Good morning."

Zatanna smiled and brought her lips down to mine. I wrapped my arms around her back and pulled her into me. Zatanna let out a muffled moan as I brought my hand up to the back of her neck and took control of the kiss.

Zatanna: "Mhmm... so, where are we going first?"

(Y/n): "Paris. Last time we were there it wasn't very pleasant, and the time before that it was strictly dinner. So we're going to spend a few days there, see all the sights and do whatever we want to."

Zatanna: "Do you have everything booked?"

(Y/n): "Yep, all booked and paid for. We can zeta there and check in anytime after 3:00."

I felt Zatanna run her hands along my chest and push herself up so she was straddling my crotch. She smiled down at me and bit her bottom lip.

(Y/n): "I know what you want and we will have plenty of time to do that later. We need to pack and figure out what other cities we want to stop in."

Zatanna blushed hard and slowly got off me while grumbling about how I'm "always the responsible one".

I let out a small laugh at her disappointment before quickly grabbing her wrists, pulling her into me and capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. Zatanna let out a relaxed moan as she melted into my hold.

When we broke the kiss she decided to quickly kiss my cheek before getting changed.

After breakfast I cleaned up the dishes while Zatanna packed our clothes. I didn't even try to pick something to bring. I know I would pick the wrong outfit and Zatanna would end up changing it with magic so it's best to let her have her way from the start.

Packing up was faster than I first thought it would be. Before I knew it Zatanna had both our suitcases ready to go.

Zatanna: "Before you ask, no, I didn't pack any weapons or any of your gear. You don't need it. This is a vacation."

(Y/n): "But what if-"

Zatanna: "No. I'll handle it. And if it's really that big of a deal I can change you into your gear with a quick spell. I'm hesitant to allow you to bring that watch."

(Y/n): "Actually that one is non-negotiable. It's a felony for me to leave this watch unattended for longer than an hour."

Zatanna rolled her eyes and smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back. Her happiness is contagious.

Zatanna: "You're lucky I love you."

(Y/n): "I know. Now let's get moving, we can check into the hotel and find a place to eat."

When we left the apartment we locked the door behind us and quickly made our way to the elevator.

When we arrived in the basement we made sure we were alone before activating the hidden zeta tube.

Zatanna: "I've been looking forward to this."

(Y/n): "I know you have."

We both stepped into the zeta tube and instantly arrived in Paris.

3rd Person POV:

John Constantine appeared in Zatanna and (Y/n)'s apartment the second the pair travelled through the zeta tube. Constantine started searching throughout the apartment, looking for Zatanna as the voice echoed in his head.

"Find her. You must bring the daughter of Zatara to me."

Constantine: "Yes, mistress Cerci."

When He realized the apartment was abandoned he cursed before swiftly disappearing in a bright purple flame.

Zatanna and (Y/n) checked into their hotel and spent the afternoon walking throughout the streets of Paris. The pair settled on a small café with a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance.

(Y/n) POV:

I couldn't stop staring at Zatanna. She's wearing a beautiful red dress and has her hair tied in a ponytail. She's caught me staring into her eyes a few times and has blushed every time.

Zatanna: "What?"

(Y/n): "As if you have to ask, you're beautiful."

Zatanna blushed hard as the waiter brought us our bill. After I paid the bill I brought Zatanna to the Eiffel Tower. Zatanna was ecstatic the entire elevator ride to the top. By the time we arrived at the top the sun was just starting to set.

I gently grabbed her hand and led her to the edge. We leaned on the railing and watched the sun set, holding each other in a warm, loving embrace.

Zatanna: "Where should we go next?"

(Y/n): "Switzerland. We have three months after all, we might as well see as much of Europe as we can."

Zatanna: "I love you so much."

(Y/n): "I love you too."

I gently grabbed Zatanna's waist and pulled her into me. She pressed her body against mine as my hand moved up to her neck. Once I had a hold of it I pulled her into a passionate kiss. I closed my eyes and Zatanna moaned into my mouth as we felt the warm glow of the setting sun on our faces.
