The week soon ended faster then everyone thought. The apartment was definitely bigger than Wally and Artemis expected. There were two bedrooms which was good if someone came to visit and wanted to stay over. They hadn't gotten the chance to go shopping yet which made Artemis groan every time she saw the empty fridge. "So what do journalists actually do?" Wally asked as she crossed her arms and shot him a glare. "What exactly do physicists do?" She shot back with a sly smirk. He had been teasing her for doing journalism for months now.

     Walking over she ruffled his hair as he groaned. "Arty why do you do this?" He whined as he tried fixing his hair. She honestly didn't know why he cared about his hair because he never did anything with it. "So Mr. West how about we go and get some dinner?" She asked swinging the car keys around her finger. "Actually we have to meet Dick for dinner" he said as she raised an eyebrow. She wasn't informed of this like usual. Her birthday was coming up soon and he needed Dick's help for her present.

The problem was that the thing he was getting was hard to sneak in. "Yes but he actually needs me to grab something for him but I will meet you there" he said as she crossed her arms. Wally was a horrible liar. "What does he need you to grab?" She asked as he stood up and ran a hand through his hair. "Just some....stuff" he said with a nervous laugh as she walked closer to him. "You know I'll kick your ass if your lying to me" she said resting her hand against his chest. "Anyways I'll see you soon then, love you" she said leaning up and pecking his lips before leaving the apartment.

Sighing he texted Dick and then waited a couple minutes. Slipping his sweater on he left the apartment complex and went to the animal shelter a couple blocks down. Arty was going to love this present plus he wanted a dog himself. Walking in he smiled at the lady as he walked up to the front desk. He was here last night and they told him about the new puppies that were brought in. "I am here to get my new dog. I was here last night and you said new puppies were brought in" he said as she nodded.

They walked into the back and in one of the cages were three baby pitbulls. Two of them were all black while the smaller one was white. Crouching down Wally held his hand out as the white one waddled over and sniffed his hand. "Awe can I have this one?" He asked sounding like a little kid. The lady nodded and grabbed the dog for him as they walked back to the front. Everything was sorted out as he now walked down the sidewalk holding the little puppy in his arms.

It was quite adorable to say the least. The apartment complex allowed pets which was good. The puppy didn't make a sound besides licking him the entire time. When going back up to the apartment he opened the door to see Artemis and Dick inside. "Oh shit" he whispered to himself before hiding the small animal in his sweater. "I didn't know you guy's were here. I thought we were going to his house" he said trying hard not to laugh as he crossed his arms over his chest. The puppy was wriggling around which was making it hard for him not to laugh.

Artemis could tell something was off by the way he was standing. "Where's the thing you were getting for Dick? I also thought you said you were meeting us at his house" she said glaring hard at the red head. Dick was standing behind her making funny faces at his best friend who was struggling to stay calm. A tiny bark came from his jacket. "What was that?" Artemis asked looking around. "I barked like a dog because you look so good" he said as Dick was dying where he stood.

Artemis glared and began walking towards her boyfriend. "Take it and don't hurt me!" He yelled pulling the pure white puppy out and holding it towards her. She stopped and her eyes immediately softened. "Awe Wally its adorable" she said taking the puppy and gushing at it cuteness. He immediately let out a relieved sigh before her glare returned. "Its not that I don't love the dog but where did you get it?" She asked as Dick just about had it. He burst out laughing his ass off at the two.

They both shot death glares at the seventeen year old. "Hey its not my fault he trusted me to keep you distracted!" He laughed out as they both rolled their eyes. "Is it a boy or girl?" She asked holding it like a child. "I think a boy unless I'm wrong" he said as she held the dog up above her inspecting its parts. "Yep its a boy. What are we naming him? I kinda like the name Brucely" she said as his emerald eyes lit up before nodding. "Okay come on baby Brucely" Artemis said putting the puppy down on the floor as it waddled behind them.

He finished placing the last box of her's on her dorm floor. Her Uncle and brother had helped her carry her stuff into the dorm room as well as Conner. Garfield was looking down the entire time with a frown on his face. "Goodbye M'gann and good luck. We'll see you on the Holidays" her Uncle said as she gave him a hug. Megan then crouched down in front of Gar and placed her hands on his shoulders. "Please don't leave me" he said looking up as tears streamed down his cheeks.

     Her heart shattered as she engulfed her little brother in a hug. The two of them were as close as siblings could be. He wrapped his arms around her and cried uncontrollably. "Shush Gar its okay. We can talk on the phone and video chat and everything" she said feeling tears prick at her eyes as she took a deep breath. He nodded hugging his sister tighter not wanting to let go. "You'll always be my little brother" she said as he let go of her. Wiping his tears he put on a brave face trying hard not to cry again.

     Her Uncle John placed his hand on Garfield's shoulder and gave him a comforting smile. "Don't forget about me okay?" Gar said as Megan rolled her eyes taking another deep breath. Conner could see how much of a toll this was going to take on her. "I won't Gar now I'll call you later tonight" she said giving him one last hug before watching him and her Uncle leave. Her eyes began to irritate her as she finally let the tears fall. "Conner I can't do this" she cried out as he hugged her tightly.

     He ran his fingers through her red hair as she sobbed into his chest. Clutching the fabric of his T-shirt as she did so. "You'll manage, you always seem to" he said as she looked up at him and quickly wiped her tears. "Thanks" she said giving him a quick kiss. "Want to get dinner or something?" He asked scratching the back of his head nervously. They had been dating for a long time now but he still got nervous when asking her to dinner or on cute dates. "Sure just let me fix my makeup and then we can go!" She chimed before grabbing her makeup bag and walking into the rooms small washroom.

     He managed to escape Wally and Artemis's apartment as he now walked along the sidewalk. The moon was rising in the empty night sky. When he was in Happy Harbor it was so easy to see the beautiful stars. But in Gotham it was nearly impossible to even catch a glimpse. Hands shoved in his pocket he walked happily whistling to himself. That was until someone came up behind him and pressed a gun to his side. "Now you're going to go down the alley here before I fill your body with lead" the voice growled in his ear.

     Dick complied as he went down the alleyway with the gun still pressed to his side. "You sure you want to do this buddy?" He asked trying not to chuckle. "Give me your damn wallet" the guy growled as Dick smirked evilly. Within seconds the man was pinned to the wall with the gun's chamber emptied on the ground. "I'll have to call the GCPD on your ass now" he said taking his phone out with one hand and keeping the thug pinned with the other. This was the reason why Dick was only going to be in the Academy for a month.

     He knows all of these moves thanks to Bruce. His 'Dad' was a playboy by day and detective by night. Bruce helped solve cases that had gone cold years ago only to find the culprit in a couple hours. Even Tim knew most of these moves though he was still in training. They were all taught how to fight and defend themselves. "I could put on a uniform and call myself a damn superhero" he muttered while holding the phone to his ear. After talking to the kind lady a squad car soon showed up as he handed the thug off to the officers.

     The flashing red and blue lights illuminating the area. "Who am I thanking exactly?" The officer asked shaking Dick's hand. "Dick Grayson, soon to be officer Grayson" he said with a proud smile on his face. Becoming a cop had been a dream ever since he was little kid. "Well I look forward to working alongside you rookie" the officer said chuckling before getting in the squad car and driving away. Dick smiled to himself before heading back to his apartment. Opening the door he walked in and over to the couch where he fell onto it.

     Lying there in silence he listened to the noises of Gotham in the background. Turning his phone on the light illuminated his face as he went onto a game app. Whatever the games name was didn't matter at the moment as he got comfortable. "Okay Mr. Nightwing its time to kick some virtual ass" he said staring at the small screen as the little character ran around beating criminals up. "Ooh I am so sending this to Tim to show off how bad I just beat his score into the ground" he said taking a screenshot and sending it to Tim.

     Tim had started playing the game first and eventually got him addicted to it. They got to play as virtual superheroes saving cities and stuff. "In your face Red Robin" he said with a smirk as Tim began to text him back angrily. They could both easily hack it to boost their scores but then where would the fun be in beating each other? His mouth opened as a yawn escaped his lips. It had been two hours as he stared at the time on his cellphone. Groaning he stood up and shuffled to his room.

     Not even bothering to turn the light on he took his shirt off and fell onto the large bed. There were two bedrooms in the apartment like Wally and Artemis's but his was slightly bigger in size. Plugging his phone in the dinging sound filled the quiet room as the light illuminated the ceiling. "I've gone to school tired before this should be the same thing" he said letting another yawn escape his lips as he snuggled into the many blankets on the bed. Turning over he stared out of the window on the other side of the room.

     Lights from all of the buildings made the City look like it twinkled in his eyes. The last time he had been in Gotham was when he was ten before they moved to Happy Harbor. Blue eyes tiredly glanced around as he yawned again. Finally they fell closed as he drifted off to sleep.

A/N: Sorry about not updating sooner I had to take a break to get new ideas. Working on the same book for a couple hours straight really strains my mind. But I have new ideas and in the next couple Chapters stuff is going down and a new character will appear. *wink* *wink*
