Episode 19 - Misplaced, Younger Justice pt. 1

The next generation of the Young Justice team does this mission.

Klarion the Witch Boy walked forward into a small clearing, carrying his cat. "How about here?" He asked. Teekl meowed and jumped out of his arms. "Finally!" He exclaimed, pulling out a gem. He set it on the ground and activated it using his magic. He walked over to one of the points and it lit up. "It's time to get the group together." He said, his eyes lighting up. He began to summon other sorcerers, putting them on the corners. "Wotan, Blackbriar Thorn, Felix Faust, Wizard." Once they were all there, he grinned evilly. "Now, let's start the show." The sorcerers started chanting.

At the mountain, meanwhile, Lucas (Superhero name: Supermartian) and Alyssa (Superhero name: Mind Mistress) were unloading groceries and some supplies. "Did you get everything?" Nightwing asked. "Everything on the list, Nightwing, plus some groceries!" Alyssa responded. Noah (Superhero name: Sonic) ran up to a box as she set it down. "Cookie fixins?" He asked, excited. "Snickerdoodles." Ambush responded. "Nice, thanks!" Noah said.

Alice (Superhero name: Archer) and Zach (Superhero name: Charmer) entered just then. Jordan (Superhero name: Blue Jay) walked over to them. "Glad you're back, guys. Are you going to join the team?" He asked. They watched as Zatanna performed a spell, moving the groceries over. "I don't know," Alice responded. "Our parents are sort of overprotective." "Yeah, just getting them to let us visit takes a day of convincing." Zach said. "I wish they would give us some space!"

All the adults were suddenly teleported away.

"MOM!" Both Alice and Zach yelled as Zatanna disappeared. Lucas and Noah gasped. Katrina (Superhero name: Aqualass) looked around, disturbed.

The sorcerers continued chanting. The adult sorcerers soon disappeared, leaving Klarion standing alone.

In Fawcett City, a few kids were playing in the streets with their mother watching. "Stay away from the road!" Their mother reminded them. "Okay mom!" Billy Batson watched them and smiled. "In recent news, Captain Marvel defeated another villain!" The reporter on screen said. Billy walked over to his uncle, who rubbed his head affectionately. Suddenly, his uncle disappeared. Billy gasped. "Uncle Dudley?!" He exclaimed. "I wonder which of my enemies is behind this, but I know a job for Captain Marvel when I see one!" He started to transform, but stopped. "Wait, if I become him, I might disappear too!"

Over comms, Sonic was letting Charmer and Blue Jay know what he was doing. "We've set up a camp at the high school gym. Any luck with-" "No," Blue Jay said, "can't reach the Batcave, the Hall of Justice, the Watch- any adult hero, even Target (Lian, but grown up)." "Guess we're on our own. Sonic out." Noah said as he hung up.  Charmer typed on the computer. "All normal media's offline, but kids everywhere are posting the same thing. All adults 18 or older have disappeared." He informed Blue Jay. "The magic necessary to make this happen is..... scarily massive." "And we need you to find the origin." Blue Jay said. "How am I-" "I got this footage," He interrupted, "It's your mom helping us locate Wotan and the Injustice League last month. They watched as Zatanna performed the spell to locate the source of magic. "But the words are only half of it," Zach explained as he walked up to Blue Jay. "the rest takes training and, I'm not on Zatanna's level, not even close." Blue Jay turned to face him. "I know it's difficult, but try to stay whelmed." He said, "We'll find your moms, Nightwing, all of them. That's what we do." Zach smiled.

Supermartian tore the door off of a car to get to the child. He unbuckled the seat and picked them up. The kid noticed their matching symbols and smiled.

Two kids spray-painting the side of the school building were chased away when Mind Mistress's telepathy raised the cans and sprayed them with them. Noah ran out, holding a kid in his arms. They both walked into the school, hearing Alice try to sing lullabies to them (and failing). She stood up as Alyssa and Noah reached her. "Did you call home?" She asked them. "No answer." Noah replied. "You could Zeta there." Alice suggested. "I've been finding children all day, I don't need to see another empty house." He replied. The door opened, showing Lucas standing there with three children using him as a jungle gym. "Got three more." He said, tired.

Billy ran across the street to the Zeta tube. "Okay, make sure the coast is clear and.... now!" He said to himself. He walked into the photo booth and waited for access. "Captain Marvel, 1-5." He said, and waited. "Captain Marvel, 1-5!" He said, a bit more scary. "Override H-O-J/Watchtower, priority red! Captain Marvel, 1-5!" The machine scanned him. "Not recognized, accessed denied." He groaned and left the booth. As he strolled along, some of the screens lit up. Aqualass, Blue Jay, and Sonic appeared. "Attention, children and teenagers of Earth, I am Aqualass. These are my teammates, Blue Jay and Sonic." "We are using League tech to film and stream to every TV, radio, computer, and cell phone on the planet." Sonic explained. "We know you must be afraid and angry, we know, with your parents missing there's a temptation to disobey. Please, stay calm." "We will find a way to bring the adults back, but for now, the oldest must step up." "Take care of your younger siblings," Blue Jay ordered, "take care of kids with no one." "It's up to you."

Billy ran to the hangar. "It's up to Billy Batson to find a way into the cave." He said, hopping over the fence. "No matter the risk!"

"Please help in any way you can." Aqualass said, much to the amusement of a girl. "Which is how, exactly?" She asked the screen. "That depends." Billy said, leaning on the door. "You have a pilot's license, right?"

After the announcement, Sonic was staring at Dr. Fate's helmet on the shelf. Aqualass walked in. "I finally got to Atlantis, no adults there either." "So, how desperate are we?" Sonic asked. "I mean, this thing could come in handy." "Yes, but we know that anyone who puts on the helmet may never be released from being Dr. Fate." Aqualass responded. "So, not that desperate." "Not yet." "Uhh, guys?" Zach said from the hall. "I'm ready to try my mother's spell."

The team stood near the map as Charmer stepped forward. He tried the spell, which ended up working. "Coordinates locked, the source is on Roanoke Island. Nice job." Blue Jay praised.

"I cannot believe I let you talk me into this." Amber said, flying the plane. "You did the right thing, Amber." Billy said, "I know I don't look like much, but I have to get to Happy Harbor to help." "We're almost there. We will arrive after midnight, on my birthday!" "Wait, do you turn 18 at midnight?" She disappeared. "I'll take that as a yes."
