There's a light in the crack that's separating your thighs.

Elle walked out her bedroom the next morning, a robe wrapped around her and giant fuzzy socks on her feet. She hadn't slept more than a few hours that night and just wanted to get the day going.
She shuffled her way into the main living area and saw Michael standing at the counter making coffee.
"Come here," he said. He hadn't turned away from the coffee brewer yet and his whole body was rigged. He was on edge. So was Elle.
"I don't think that's a good idea."
"Trust me it is. I'm here to apologize. Come sit on the counter and we can talk."
Elle agreed because she knew Michael would put up a fuss if she didn't. She complied, climbing up onto the counter. Michael watched his girlfriend, knowing she wouldn't make eye contact with him unless he did that.
Michael walked towards her and placed his hands on her thighs. She immediately pushed him away and Michael had to deal with placing his hands on the cold marble top.
"You hurt me last night."
"You tried to fucking force yourself on me, Michael!" Elle hissed. She definitely did not need Michael telling her she was wrong.
"Doesn't mean you had to hit me. You could've told me to stop and I would've."
"Michael, I told you to stop multiple times and you didn't. There was nothing I could do," Elle said truthfully.
What Elle had said really didn't affect Michael. He just wanted her to believe that he was sorry. He wasn't.
"I'm so sorry," Michael said. His eyes went wide, in a pleading notion.
"It's not okay Michael. You tried to sexually assault me," Elle said. A tear rolled down her face and Michael didn't try to wipe it away.
"I was drunk. And it's not like we haven't had sex before."
"That is one hundred percent completely different. I didn't give you consent this time," Elle said.
"I'm so sorry Elle. Being honest, I'm so sorry. I should've never done that. I love you and I can't lose you," Michael said.
He hesitantly reached out and wrapped his arms around Elle. She sighed and wrapped her hands around him as well. She loved him. She could never leave him.
She was happy with him most of the time so why should she mad at him over a minor mistake. She had made mistakes before and Michael always forgave her. She could do the same to him.
"I love you," Michael whispered.
"I love you too," Elle said. Michael pressed a light kiss on Elle's cheek before moving back to the coffee pot and pouring him and Elle a cup.
Michael took a sip of his coffee suppressing a smile. He liked knowing he could manipulate Elle.
