Chapter One
Faint sounds of feet on the grass could be heard throughout the woods of a small village called 'Sakura'. It was a quiet night. So quiet. The dark night splayed across the sky like a sheet of darkness, the only thing illuminating the dark sky, was the tiny speaks of light called stars. Slowly appearing in the sky.
A girl's giggled could be heard as more stars started to appear. A boy's laugh soon followed the stars glowing brighter. Constellations now visible. The stars lined up making a shap of two small figures. A boy and a girl holding hands.
"Look, Amy! It's us!" Said a boy as he pointed to the constellation. A girl with orange hair looked to where her brother was pointing. "Ah, I see. That's amazing Lou! Your a better star deity then me!" She said, as she laid down on the soft grass smiling as she looked at the sky.
"I think we're pretty good at putting Stars in the sky. Especially since we're only beginner deities." Amaya bragged, as she closed her sunset eyes. Lucas sat down besides his sister, gazing at the stars. They really did do beautiful work. Lucas couldn't explain how he and his sister became deities, or where they came from.
All he could remember was waking up in a golden place filled with beautiful lights and gorgeous people. A woman by the name Amaterasu told him that he was a divine being by the name of Hoshi. She introduced him to a young girl about three years older then him; Amaya. She was a young goddess in learning. But she already knew her divine power. A star deity.
The orangette walked up to him and said; "I'm Amaya! Your big sister!" It wasn't long after that Lucas divine power showed that he was also a star creation deity. He was technically five when he was first 'born' now at the age 8 and Amaya at the age 11 were two of the best deities known. But, Amaya was more powerful then Lucas. Although she never said so.
Wondering how Lucas started being called Lucas? Well, Amaya said to him; "Hoshi doesn't fit you... You seem more like a... Like a... Umm.. Lucas!"
And ever since then he went by Lucas, and called Amaya Amy. As if he nickname her, but she named him. Lucas smiled at the memory of meeting his sister. He laid down on the grass besides his sister. His fluffy sliver splayed out on the grass like his sisters orange hair.
"Hey, Amy?" Lucas asked Amaya.
"Hmm?" She replied eyes still closed.
"Every wonder how life would be if we were mortals?" Lucas asked, his sapphire eyes filled with curiosity.
"No, but I bet it would be lame. Since mortals filled extreme pain with emotions. Us deities can't feel pain... not at all." She replied quite bluntly.
Lucas closed his eyes, thinking what it could be like just to be mortal at least one day...
~5 year later~
Amaya walked down the halls of Megami castle, her orange hair now shorter then it was when she was a kid. It's now only chin length. Her sunset eyes still filled with the kindness of her soul and gold of her heart. As she walked a boy with untamed sliver hair walks besides her; hair same length as hers. Eyes still filled with curiosity, and adventure.
Lucas and Amaya still young deities, still closer as siblings.
"Hoshi! Amaya!" Called a feminine voice, making Amaya freeze and Lucas laugh.
Running towards them was a blond girl by the name of Aya. She was an angel... literally. She was in training to find her God or Goddess. Behind the blond girl was her brother. A boy with sliver hair that was long enough to reach his back, and eerie amethyst eyes. His name Damien. A unusual angel.
"It's been to long Ama!" Shouted Aya as she squeezed Amaya in a hug, that it looked like she could break her bones. "Why did you and Hoshi stay on earth so long!"
"Because we put the Stars In the night sky!" Lucas thought. Yes, him and Amaya did stay on earth for 5 years. But they stayed in the small Japanese village Sakura. Never did they leave until Amaterasu set the sun. Then they would skip across the night sky filling it with the stars.
"Well, we have been busy with our duties." Amaya stated, as Aya released her from her death hug. Aya pouted.. "Boo duties! We Never spend time with each other!"
"And we won't even get see each other, once we are chosen by a God and when you two go to your own ways!" Aya said, sadly.
Suddenly Aya gave a bright smile. "Who do you think will pick me as their angel? I bet it going to be Eros!" She said, dreamily with her eyes closed.
"Eros? You mean the god of love aka Cupid?" Now why would you want to be his angel?" Lucas asked, looking confused. Now Lucas has never meet Eros or any higher up Deity. Only Amaterasu.
"Aya is probably just going to get chosen by some knockoff God, like Janus." Damien stated, face blank of emotion.
Aya gasped. "The god of gates and doors, with two faces!? How lame! I should be at least Eros or even Helios angel." She protested.
Lucas laughed at the comment. "Oh, come on Dia! Don't be so rude to Aya! I bet she'll get chosen by a amazing God, like umm... Asclepius!" Lucas said.
The blond girl huffed at the comment. "The god of medicine? What was up with the Greeks when they prayed to those gods?" Aya said, as she crossed her arms.
Lucas laughed and Damien followed, but as they laughed they were both greeted with a hit to the head. "You, idiots! Don't make fun of deities! God or angel it can still get you punished!" Amaya warned. Lucas rubbing his now sore forehead.
"You didn't have to be so rude about it..." Lucas mumbled. Damien place a hand over the bump forming on his head, a hardly visible blush on his face as he looked at Amaya.
Aya rolled her eyes as she glanced at her brother. Some toughie Dia was unless Amaya made any contact with him.
"Anyway, Since me and Damien are getting are wings tomorrow, when are you two getting your scepters?" Aya asked.
"Today actually." Amaya stated. "We were heading there just now until you stop us." Lucas said, with a dull expression.
Aya's eyes sparkled. "Wow! So you two are actually going to be real deities! No longer having to listen to Amaterasu, nor stay in one area of earth! So lucky!"
Amaya shock her head. "No, Aya. Will still have to listen to Amaterasu... She is the main deity. And most powerful. But, we will be able to stay in earth whenever we please, and go anywhere we want. We can even be seen by humans if we want to be, although it's against deities rules." Amaya explained.
At the mention of humans Damien eyes went cold, a scary aura surrounding him. "Humans... weak mortals. They don't even believe in Gods anymore. So, I don't know why Amaterasu is so determined to protect those sinners..they seem.. So.. so, demonic." Damien said, quietly.
Aya, Lucas, and Amaya gave him a confused look. Aya then giving an awkward laugh. "Hey, ignore him guys. His been like this recently."
Lucas and Amaya both nodded their heads still with a confused expression.
"Well, we should be going!" Aya quickly said, skipping away. "See you two later! Bye! Come on Dia!" She called her brother.
The amethyst eyed male walked pass the sibling deities, eyes glancing over to the orangette goddess. Before finally walking out of sight.
"Jeez, Damien seems weird." Lucas stated. "Yeah, he does.." Amaya murmured.

Hi! This is my first book! It's based off my sisters drawing and notes. I asked if she was ever going to write a book like this and she said no. So, I'm doing it!
