(y/n) - your name

He revels in her whimpered whispers, looking up at her as he kisses every single inch of insecurity she had while his hands ran down her skin lovingly. He just wanted to show her how much he cared for her just like she cared for him. He leans back and lets her pull her underwear down, kissing across her hips before standing back up to unhook her bra and throwing it out of the shower.
"You're so beautiful... the most precious woman in my life." he whispers, hooking his arms around her waist to pull her close and press soft kisses against her neck. "So pretty like this... so fucking pretty all the time..." His fingers ran up across her back, to take all of her in before holding her face gently to kiss her once more. Eddie could taste the salt of (y/n)'s tears and he kissed her more passionately to try and show her that he would do anything for her. "Let me take care of everything outside and you relax in here, get cleaned up sweetheart." he says as he leans back, his girl nodding softly and he kisses her one more time before leaving the shower to dry off and put some clothes on while she washes her hair.
(y/n) was left with a whirlpool of emotions, from excitement and a fun moment to such a serious and heartfelt moment. Only Eddie could keep her on her toes and make every moment special with him. She quickly washed her hair and her body, cleaning up and drying off to put on one of her boyfriend's shirts and his shorts while he picked up her soaked clothes to put them in the wash. She walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen to see him putting the dinner on the table for them, setting it up for her before he grinned when he saw her.
"M'lady! Dinner is served!" he bows playfully.
"You didn't have to. Thank you kind sir!" she plays along happily, sitting down in her seat and letting him push her closer to the table before rushing over to sit himself down. "We can decorate the cake after but please, let's not make any more mess."
"Can't promise you that sweetheart." Eddie winks and (y/n) rolls her eyes playfully, the two of them eating dinner together happily while they talked about what they did during the day. "And I may have gone a bit overkill with my campaign since they could not even beat past the first trial! I think I overdid it." he says, thinking back to how everyone groaned and complained about their characters being destroyed in battle.
"Nah, just proves how brilliant your mind is love. Your creativity can't be matched." (y/n) says and Eddie grins happily like a puppy, watching as she cleared up the table while he was carefully putting chocolate cream between the cake slices. "Done?"
"Yep!" he quips happily, especially when his girlfriend praises him for his work and helps him to put icing sugar on the cake.
"I got some movies as well so pick one to watch and I'll finish it off here."
"Ok!" Eddie bounces to the piles of movies, gasping at the choices and he tries to pick one to choose first while (y/n) quickly uses a different coloured icing to write Happy Birthday before putting on some sparklers and a simple candle. The metalhead unknowingly puts on a movie as his girl lit up the sparklers, turning the lights off to grab his attention. Eddie's eyes widen when he heard (y/n) sing softly to him, a sinking feeling settling in his stomach as she gently put the cake down on the coffee table in front of him. "How..."
"I may have asked your uncle..." she rubs her neck shyly noticing the frown on her boyfriend's face. "I didn't tell anyone it was your birthday. I understand-"
"-you can't-"
"-trust me I do... why do you think I never told you mind..." Eddie realises that it was true, (y/n) never told him when her birthday was and his frown deepens. "Our reasons might not be the same but I know what it feels like when your whole life, you push down the significance of your birthday, to make yourself completely wired to think that... you're not important or worthy of anything... I never had a birthday party when I was young, not one. I never celebrated it and I just hated my birthday cause it always reminded me of the inevitable." (y/n) sat down on the couch, looking at the cake.
"(y/n) you're worth everything-"
"-and so are you Eddie..." he shakes his head immediately, suddenly remembering the screams of his past that shot him down every chance possible. "Come here..." she begs him and he shuffles over to sit on the floor between her feet, his back resting against the couch as she leaned over him to hug him. Her chin rested on top of his head as his hands held hers, the couple looking at the cake to watch the sparkles die out. "You're everything to me Eddie..." the boy tears up, closing his eyes as his girl kissed his head. "I know you hate celebrating your birthday... we don't have to do this again but I just wanted to give you one moment where it feels like an actual birthday... Maybe for your future birthdays, I'll just make you breakfast in bed instead." Eddie's heart jumps happily at the thought that (y/n) was going to be him for years and he leans up to kiss her cheek.
"I would like that. I'll do the same for your birthday."
"But you don't know when it is."
"Then I'll make you breakfast in bed every day!"
"There's no need for that love." (y/n) chuckles lightly, Eddie nuzzling against her thigh before he looked up at her and pressed his lips against hers softly.
"Thank you... for tonight..." he whispers as he leans into her palms that hold his cheeks.
"Blow out the candle!" he smiles, blowing it out and his girl cheers for him. "Happy 21st Birthday love."
"Wait where are you going?" Eddie pouts as (y/n) stands up.
"Don't hate me for this," she dashed off, getting the gift from his room and coming back to the livingroom when he bursts into tears seeing what was in her hands. "No no! Please don't cry!" the girl didn't know what to do, bringing over a tissue box as she set the gift down in front of Eddie.
"You got me the Lord of the Rings collection..." he hiccuped through his tears, his heart hurting but also full of joy that for the first time ever, someone loved him enough to care about his birthday and his interests. "I didn't get you anything!" he wailed out, hands shaking as he saw the books in pristine condition. "I can't get you anything because I can't afford it! I can't get you anything nice like you always do and I can't buy you pretty things or take care of you! I can't even buy you flowers or-!"
"-Eddie, I don't need any of those. You're all I'll ever needed. You're the only one I want in my life. I'm sorry for making you feel like this..." (y/n) teared up as she held Eddie's cheeks, kneeling in front of him as he cried. He hated how he couldn't buy her things like she did, always showering him with gifts. "I'm so sorry. I love your little gifts, your flowers you pick for me, your little notes, your shiny pebbles, your necklace..." she pulls out the chain with the red guitar pick he gave her before showing him her hand. "And your ring. I never take these off because you gave them to me Eddie. They make me feel loved, like someone cares, you care and these are the best things I've ever been given..." the metalhead sniffles, nodding as he wiped his eyes as his girl gives him some tissues while she kisses his forehead. "How about this, we don't buy anything expensive for each other again. Especially during Christmas time."
"Sounds like a plan." Eddie chuckles lightly, melting into (y/n)'s hands as she gently wiped his cheeks of his tears, holding his face in her palms.
"Are you ok?" he nods, feeling heavy from the crying but light at the same knowing someone was there to hold him.
"Can we cuddle?" he asks with his brown puppy dog eyes and his girl nods, never having the heart to say no to him.
"Do you want some cake?" he nods happily, her cutting up a piece for him before he takes the plate and she settles back against the couch with her legs spread out. Eddie snuggles up (y/n)'s arms, grabbing the remote as she dropped a blanket over them and he played the movie he put into the tv while eating the cake. He hums happily at the sweet they successfully made, feeding her a few bites every now and then.
"Can we read the books instead of watching the movies?"
"Of course, we can. Anything you want love." (y/n) reaches over to grab the first book, continuing off from which chapter they were up to while Eddie laid on top of her with his head buried against her neck and his arms wrapped around her tightly.
She truly was the only one that made him feel so special and loved.
