(y/n) - your name

"Do we have to do this?" Eddie whines out, flopping back on the couch dramatically while kicking his books and stencils on the floor. (y/n) chuckles lightly, rolling her eyes at her boyfriend's antics while picking his stuff up and setting them down carefully on the coffee table.

"Yes cause you need to catch up and I got university shit to do as well." she says, moving past Eddie but he quickly sits up on the couch and grabs her hips to pull her towards him, standing between his legs. She flushes softly as he lays his chin on her stomach to look up at her with his puppy dog eyes that shine for her, pulling her closer as he wraps his arms around her and leans into her hand that holds his cheek softly.

He looks up at her, taking in the soft smile on her face and the faint glint in her eyes that shone through her exhaustion. "Are you ok?" he asks her and she falters slightly, nodding while running her fingers through his hair. 

"I'm fine Eddie."

"I know for a fact that when girls say they're 'fine' they lying." he states quickly, a playful frown on his face as his girl chuckles.

"And where did you learn that?" (y/n) asks as Eddie nuzzles his face against her stomach.

"Pigeon told me."

"And why did Robin tell you?" he doesn't say anything and she sighs knowing that he wanted to make sure she was ok after yesterday. "I feel better Eddie." he looks up at her and pouts.

"That's not my name."

"Yes, it is-oh!" (y/n) laughs lowly. "I feel better love." Eddie gives her a glowing smile. "How are you feeling?"

"There's still some pain." he says, a mischievous look in his eyes which his girl picks up on but she plays along with her boyfriend's antics.

"Where does it hurt the most?" (y/n) asks and Eddie sticks out his bottom lip as he pouts, pointing to his slips. "You big baby." she smiles, leaning down to gently kiss him, being careful with the cut before pulling back but he wasn't happy with the short kiss. 

He pushes up to kiss his love again, pulling her down to have her sit on his lap and tilting his head to kiss her deeper as his hands grip her hips tight. (y/n) sighs blissfully against the kiss, shuddering against one of Eddie's hands that move up from her hip and across her jaw to the back of her neck to pull her closer, her own hands tangling in his hair. She pants lightly as he leans back slowly from the bruising kiss, moving to press soft kisses from her cheek down her jaw and to her neck.  Eddie peppers petal soft kisses across the crook of (y/n)'s neck, nibbling against her skin before leaning back up to press multiple pecks on her lips that earns him sweet giggles.

"Ok, if you're feeling better, we really need to study." She hears her boyfriend groan at her words, shuffling to move out of his grasp and walking to the kitchen to get some snacks and drinks for them two. 

Eddie moves to lean his elbows against the couch arm, holding his head up by his hands while watching his love walk around his trailer with some short shorts and one of his baggy shirts only. He smiles with his tongue between his teeth, a tilt of his head as his eyes followed her around especially when she leans over to look in the fridge. Eddie doesn't bother trying to hide that he was watching (y/n) as she catches him, a smirk growing on his face as he sees her cheeks flush from his heated stare.

"Ok, you have school work to catch up on after you skipped yesterday and I got textbooks to read." she mutters out, moving back to the couch while placing the snacks down on the table and grabbing her notebook before dropping down next to her boyfriend who grabbed his textbooks too. He leans over to see that the little notes he would sometimes write to slip between the pages of her textbook were gone and he hoped his girlfriend didn't throw them out.

The couple worked together, (y/n) sometimes helping Eddie on how to do certain parts and he rewards her with little kisses that make her blush from his sweetness. It looked like it was going well as they snacked and worked but the male was growing bored quickly and he desperately wanted attention from his girlfriend who was so focused on her textbook. 

He leans down and quickly snatches her textbook to slam it closed as she gapes up at him. "I'm bored and I want kisses!" he whines out and she crosses his arm.

"Eddie, it's only been an hour." (y/n) says and he groans out.

"An hour too long! Pay attention to me and not your textbook please!" Eddie continues to whine out and his girlfriend sighs in defeat.

"How about this, if you manage to get your school work done I'll read to you tonight." he gasps at the exciting news, eyes wide and sparkling with the idea of his girl reading to him.

"Can I pick the book!?"

"Yes you can-" (y/n) blinks in surprise as her textbook gets handed back to her and Eddie rushed to get yesterday's classwork done. She chuckles and moves to get as much work done as she could for the next couple hours until late night hits.

"Done!" Eddie gasps loudly, slamming his pencil down on the table.

"Ok, I'll just clear all this up and we can go read in bed." (y/n) says, standing up with the rubbish as Eddie watches her. He makes sure she was facing away from him, quickly grabbing some scrap paper and scribbling on it before slipping it into his girl's textbook. Eddie bounces up to go to his room to pick a book, passing (y/n) who goes back to pack up her stuff. When she picks up her textbook, a little note flutters out from between the pages and she picks it up not noticing her boyfriend was watching her behind a wall. He watches as she opens the note to read it, a smile blooming on her face which makes his heart skip a beat. "'I love being next to you, you make everything so much better and you always help me with my school stuff. Thank you.' Oh, Eddie... he's so cute!" he grins seeing (y/n) rush over to her backpack, opening it up to take out a box and he was surprised to see all the notes he had written her packed together in the box when she opens the lid to add the new addition. Eddie physically melts against the wall, his heart growing in love for his girl as she puts the box back in her bag carefully.

He truly was in love with her.

"You found a book?" Eddie jumps away from the wall, having picked the first book from the LOTR series that he currently was rereading again for like the 100th time. He passes it to (y/n) as she takes a look at it. "I haven't read this one before but it sounds interesting." She flicks through the pages as her boyfriend leads her to his bedroom while she read the blurb, quickly catching her before she bumped into something. "You borrowed this from the library? I didn't think you would go to a library." She jests with a smile and her boyfriend rolls his eyes playfully as the two settle into bed together. 

"What, a freak and metal fanatic can't enjoy some peace and quiet at a library?"

"1. stop calling yourself a freak cause you're not and 2. anyone can go to a library but I bet you get kicked out sometimes for being loud." Eddie flushes and he quickly hides his face against (y/n)'s chest as he lays on top of her, knowing what she said was true when he got way too excited while reading.

"It's the only book of my favourite series in Hawkins. My copy that my uncle bought for me is quite worn out."

"That book lived a good life in the hands of someone that truly appreciated it." Eddie smiles at (y/n)'s words as they both move to get comfortable before she starts reading to him from the beginning. The way that she read to him while she ran her fingers through his hair made everything seem so much more magical, the way her lips read the words to bring life to the words was so much better than how Eddie would've read the book. He could even tell that she was getting invested in the story just like he was, the both of them reacting to what happens in the story together. He loved that he could share this with (y/n). 

The storytelling went long through the night, Eddie begging (y/n) to read another chapter when they get left on a cliffhanger. It went like this every time at the end of every chapter, the night slipping past them the longer they read until they both passed out asleep together.

The morning soon arrived as Wayne finally got back after a long night shift at the plant, making sure to be as quiet as possible when he noticed some of (y/n)'s belongings tucked away neatly by the front door. He creeps up to Eddie's bedroom, peeking in to make sure the kids were alright but a smile grows on his lips seeing them knocked out asleep while a book was laying next to them. 

He quietly placed the book away on the bedside table after putting in a bookmark, moving to gently shift (y/n) to sleep on her back instead so her neck wouldn't be in pain. She groans softly, moving to wrap her arms around Eddie who was still sleeping on top of her and snoring away lightly. It was such a cute moment, Wayne rushing to grab his camera to take a few pictures of the couple before going to make them breakfast and then heading to sleep after.
