(y/n) - your name

"Edward, do you want breakfast-" Wayne stops short when he opens his nephew's bedroom door, a chuckle escaping when he sees him fast asleep with his girlfriend. The two were turned to each other, Eddie engulfing (y/n) in a hug as she nestled in his arms and laid her head against his chest. His chin was tucked on top of her head, snoring lightly against her hair as one of his legs draped around her waist to keep her close.
This was the first time a girl had stayed over for the night and Wayne found it adorable, quickly grabbing a camera to snap pictures of the two to save later and annoy his nephew with. Wayne quietly shut the door to let the kids sleep but (y/n) gets shaken awake from the sound of the door closing, slowly opening her eyes and yawning. She shudders against the cold of Eddie's hands splayed across her back beneath her Hellfire shirt, rubbing circles against the middle of her spine and she knew that her boyfriend was awake.
"Cold..." she whines softly, nestling closer into her boyfriend who chuckles lightly before slowly opening his eyes. He looked at the window that was open, letting in the cold morning breeze and he kept this in his mind to do that from now on if he wanted more clingy hugs from his girl like this. He pulls her closer, arms tightening around her to keep her warm like he had been doing all night while they fell asleep last night.
"I know sweetheart..." Eddie hums softly against (y/n)'s hair, nuzzling her neck as the two start to fall asleep again in each other's embrace
"Eddie... I have to pack..." his love whispers tiredly and he shakes his head, not wanting to let her go when she tries to lean back.
"5 more minutes..."
"...ok 5 more minutes and then I need to go home..." that 5 minutes had turned into 10 and turned into 15 as Eddie just didn't want to let (y/n) go, whining for her to come back to bed as she padded around his room in only that Hellfire shirt of hers. Eddie leaned up on his elbow and watched his love freshen up with a smile, his head in his hand before she shooed him to turn around and he flops back on the bed to let her change into his dress.
"You can pack tomorrow, just stay here with me for today." Eddie begs, his arm over his eyes until he feels small hands hold his to move them away and he beams up at (y/n) that leaned over him with a smile.
"I wish I could but there's a lot to pack and I don't want to do it last minute Eddie." He pouts at his girl and she leans down to kiss his cheek.
"I'll call you every day when you're over there." he whispers and she nods.
"I look forward to those calls." (y/n) kisses Eddie's nose and he chases after her lips when she moves back but she stands up making him pout sadly again. "Thank you for the date again Eddie." she waves goodbye to him and he waves goodbye as well, dropping back on his bed with a bright grin on his face, his heart jumping erratically for the girl he had fallen in love with.
"The gift!" Eddie quickly sits up, forgetting the gift he had made for (y/n) that he wanted to give her yesterday during the date, opening his bedside table drawer. "Shit-" he heard her car engine fade away from the trailer and he knew she was gone before he could give her the gift. "Maybe I can give it to her tomorrow before she leaves."
And that's what Eddie does when he shows up at (y/n)'s house the next day with the small jewellery box tucked in his pocket, knocking on her front door. He waited for a bit, confused when he got no answer and knocks again. He peeks through the window but was stopped by the blinds covering his sight and he huffs, walking towards the back of the house. He climbed the tree that was near his love's bedroom window, hanging onto the branch and jumping onto the roof before shimming open the window to step into her bedroom.
It was dark and felt empty.
Eddie slowly closed the window behind him again, creeping through the house as his smile slowly turns into a sad frown when he realised (y/n) was gone. His heart plummets when he stops in the kitchen and sees a note written for him in her handwriting.
'Eddie if you find this note, I'm so sorry but I had to leave a little earlier. I really wanted to come see you and say goodbye but my work needed me urgently. As soon as I settle down, I'll call you straight away.
I'll see you soon again,
(y/n)'
Eddie sighs sadly, folding the note carefully again and pocketing it before looking around the house. It wasn't home without her so he quietly left to go back home, waiting for that call from (y/n).

"He's been miserable the last few weeks. What is up with him?" Mike asks quietly as he sees Eddie looking at his food glumly, moving around the pretzels on his plate and the rest of the Hellfire Club members shrug.
"It's (y/n). She's gone to the city for work or something and Eddie misses her." Dustin explains, noticing how down his Club Leader was.
"He's been like this the entire time. It's ruining our campaigns and our band practice." Gareth hisses out in annoyance. Eddie ignores the boys as his mind was off thinking about (y/n), wondering when she was going to come back home. He was absolutely miserable without her. He hated not seeing her or being able to hold her, to see her smile or her eyes that shone happily for him.
The last 2 weeks had been absolute hell. School somehow got worse and the students acted even shitter towards him. He wouldn't have cared since he knew he could go to his love every time he felt terrible after a day at school and she would make him feel better. He loved her hugs... she made him feel safe in her arms.
Eddie didn't want to burden (y/n) over the phone with all the trouble he was experiencing at school, noting how tired she sounded when he called her as soon as he got home. She sounded more and more exhausted and it worried him, especially when she fell asleep while they were on a call together and it was only 6 in the evening.
Eddie missed (y/n) a lot and it was obvious but he managed to push through and study for her, to pass his exams so he could show her when she came back. He wanted to show her that he managed to do this all on his own and that she could be proud of him like he was of her.
"Eddie, come on, she'll be back." Dustin says, trying to cheer him up but he just ignores the kid and the whispering of the student body.
"Eddie, I think you need to see this." one of his club members shakes his shoulder and he shrugs them off.
"We're not fooling around here, just look up!"
"What is wrong with you all-" Eddie's eyes go wide as he freezes in his seat, the fork in his hand falling to the table as his body increasingly shook in giddiness and happiness. He jumps up from his seat, a giant grin growing on his face as the one person he wanted to see had just walked through the cafeteria doors. "(Y/N)!" he yells out, bolting across the cafeteria and she smiles at him.
"Eddie! I-" the girl gasps out for air when her boyfriend suddenly jumps on her to hug her tight, the both of them falling to the floor. "Shit-" she wheezes for air painfully as he squeezes her tight in happiness.
"You're back! You're finally back!" Eddie litters kisses all over (y/n)'s face, shaking from excitement like an energised puppy. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming back today!?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise." she huffs out but smiles at her boyfriend that kept littering kisses all over her and mumbling about how much he missed her. "I got you some things as well from the city-"
"-I don't care now that you're back!" he beams down at his girl as she chuckles lightly, ignoring the stares of the cruel students who judged them until he helped up his girlfriend. "Let's go!" Eddie grabs (y/n)'s hand, tugging her out of the school even though she asks him about skipping his classes and gets the same response as before. He takes her car keys and ushers her in the passenger's side as he takes the drivers, taking them both to his trailer.
"Eddie what-" he takes (y/n) out of the car and into his trailer once they arrived, tugging her to his bedroom to give her the gift he had been waiting to give her since the date.
"I wanted to give you this gift on our date but I completely forgot to and it was too late to give it to you before you left for the city so I don't want to delay it anymore." Eddie quickly says in one breath, heart racing in anxiousness as he passed his girl the small jewellery box. She opened it and he shoved his hands in his pockets from nervousness, rocking on his feet as he watches her expression light up.
"Eddie... it's beautiful..." (y/n) gasps as she takes the necklace out, a red marble guitar pick hanging against the simple silver chain.
"I wanted to make something for you..." Eddie flushes lightly, reaching over to turn the guitar pick over to reveal their initials etched into it. "I know it's not a lot but-" his voice muffles as (y/n) moved to kiss him, his eyes fluttering closed as he kissed her back sweetly while she held his cheeks.
"I love it Eddie... it's more than perfect..." (y/n) smiles against his lips and he blushes brighter, moving to kiss her again blissfully. He had missed her lips, missed her taste so much, his hands threading through her hair to hold her closer and to never let go again.
"Let me put it on you." he asks, leaning back slowly and she nods, turning around in his arms as she passes the necklace to him. Eddie moves his girl's hair over one shoulder, kissing her neck before leaning over to put the necklace on her. His heart jumps seeing how happy she looked through the mirror in front of them when he clasps the necklace securely, wrapping his arms around her to hug her tightly. "I'm so happy you're back (y/n)."
"Me too Eddie." he beams at her in the mirror, kissing her cheek and leaning his chin on her shoulder to kiss her neck once more.
