"You haven't introduced me to your uncle yet Eddie." (y/n) pipes up from the next aisle in over at the video store she and Eddie were visiting, returning watched films to rent new ones. Eddie froze at his girl's question, peering over at the aisle to see her look at some horror movies. "And you haven't invited me over to your place either."

"Oh, I haven't... have I?" (y/n) jumps when she turns around to find Eddie looking at her over the aisle, chuckling away her fright.

"Yeah, I mean... I wouldn't mind meeting your uncle, say hi once at least."

"I don't know..." Eddie whispers, mind racing with the different scenarios of his uncle grilling his girl away so much, that she gets terrified of dating him because of his guardian.

(y/n) notices the unsure look on her boyfriend's face and she frowns lightly, not wanting to push him to do anything. The relationship was fairly new and all, only dating a couple of days in. "We don't have to really. It was just a thought." (y/n) quickly brushes it off and Eddie frowns that she thought he didn't want her to meet his family. He did but... but he didn't want her to think less of him.

The fact that he lived in a trailer park, in a caravan while she lived in a house all by herself in such a nice neighbourhood too. He didn't feel worthy to be with her and he frowns at his thoughts, Eddie not realising that (y/n) was standing in front of him.

"Hey... what's wrong...?" He blinks and quickly looks down at her.

"It's nothing..."

"Didn't look like nothing... you can always talk to me you know."

"I... my home life is not great... and I don't feel like I'm worthy to be with you because you're so amazing with your own house and I'm nothing and I live with my uncle-"

"-Eddie... everyone's situations are different, doesn't mean I like you less. I'm not that shallow, I understand that it's a harder for some people. Trust me, I didn't come from a good home either but I loved my family no matter where we were or where we lived." Eddie eases and smiles at his girl who was giving him a warm look.

"Really?"

"Really. Eddie, I should be saying that I'm not worthy to be with you. I envy you, with your carefree nature and your 'fuck off' attitude to life." Eddie grabs (y/n)'s face and smooshes her cheeks in happiness.

"You're amazing (y/n), you know that."

"I try..." she muffles out and Eddie laughs, kissing her cheeks that flare up with warmth and his heart soars at how cute she looked.

"How about this, I'm inviting you over for dinner next week. I'll tell my uncle."

"You don't have to if you don't want to-"

"-I want to, I really do."

"Are you two done being all cute or what!? I can't stand it!" Robin mocks lightly with a smile, gagging and the couple chuckles as they head to the front desk with their movies.

"What's up Pigeon-"

"-what did you just say!?" Robin gasps at Eddie who freezes, realising he said the wrong name-no the wrong human name!

"I didn't mean-fuck I mean I knew your name was a bird-"

"-a bird!?" Robin exclaims.

"-and I couldn't remember your name-" the two other young adults look over at (y/n) who was just laughing.

"Pigeon! He called you a pigeon! That's it, that's your nickname! That's stuck now!"

"You little shit." Robin sighs out.

"I'm sorry, but that was so good." (Y/n) calms down, holding back her snickers as she rented the movies and turns back with them to see Eddie suddenly gone. "Eddie?" She blinks and looks around the video store before walking outside to see him crouched down the far pathway. He pockets something from the grass and runs back to his girl who waited for him patiently. "What did you grab?"

"Nothing!" (Y/n) raises a brow at the puppy like happiness from Eddie as the two walk towards his van. "M'lady." He bows playfully as he opens the door and his love smiles.

"Thank you kind sir." He helps her in and closes The door, rushing over to get to the drivers and getting in before driving off. Eddie leans over to hold (y/n)'s hand, heat rushing through him as she plays with his rings softly on his fingers making him squeeze her hand in response.

"Are you hungry? I got nuggies." (Y/n) asks as the two got out of the van and walked into her house, Eddie sitting down in front of the VCR to put in a tape.

"Oh! What kind?"

"Anything really. I'm in the mood for nuggies." Eddie jumps up and runs over to (y/n) as she peers into her freezer, his eyes widening at the treasure trove he just found over her shoulder.

"You have dino nuggies!? THESE ARE THE BEST!" (Y/n) chuckles as she decides to take out the bag and cook some, Eddie bouncing on his heels as he goes on about how they're shaped like the T-Rex like an excited child.

"Ok, it's going to take a while so we can watch a bit of the film while we wait." He pouts at the news that he has to wait but nods, pulling his girl to the couch to watch the movie together. They snuggle into each other as the movie goes on but (y/n)'s attention was stuck on Eddie, seeing him smile or laugh at certain parts of the film that makes his face light up. He was just so pretty, his puppy eyes and his wide contagious smile and that gorgeous fluffy hair.

Eddie looks down at his love when he feels her staring, raising a brow at her. "What is it sweetheart?" He smirks seeing her blush when he caught her staring.

"You're just really pretty." This catches him off guard as heat crawls up his face, the tips of his ear turning pink.

He catches his love staring at his lips and his heart jumps in nervousness as she leans up to give him a quick peck since she was nervous as well. Eddie blinks down at (y/n) who hides her face in his chest and he gently grabs her chin to make her look at him before leaning down to kiss her softly. His fingers run across her jaw, feeling the heat of her cheeks burn and the softness of her lips on his. He shudders slightly from the sweetness, pressing down to kiss her deeper and catching the light whimper from his love as she gripped his shoulders.

(Y/n) gasps lightly when Eddie pulls her onto his lap, her hands tangled in his hair which makes him groan from the soft tugs as he pulled her tight with his arms around her waist. "Eddie-" the oven dings and (y/n) moves back but he moves forward to kiss her again, sweet pecks that turn longer and longer each time. "The nuggies..." she pants out as she moves back.

Eddie smiles slyly as he brushes his thumb across his girls bottom lip, squeezing her hip. "Can I take you out on a date next week?" (Y/n) blinks at the sudden question, even Eddie was shocked at his bluntness and rambles on apologies and reasons until his girl leans down to kiss him quickly to shut him up.

"I would love to Eddie."

"Wait really!?"

"Of course-" He gasps, jumping on (y/n) in happiness and brings them both down on the couch as she shrieks in surprise, Eddie littering kisses all over her cheeks.

"Oh I can't wait for next week!"

"And these nuggies can't wait before they get burnt." Eddie gasps and quickly sits up, letting (y/n) go as she chuckles and walks to the kitchen to get them out of the oven. They weren't burnt thank god, getting a plate and bringing it over to the living room where Eddie was playing with her uni textbook. He makes grabby hands for the plate and for her, pulling her back down in the couch next to him to watch the rest of the film together until he had to leave for a late night band practice with his mates.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with?" Eddie asks (y/n) as she shakes her head no and he pouts.

"I got some work I need to finish but I'll be there next Tuesday." He nods and leans down to kiss his girls cheek one last time before running out of the house with his jacket, yelling out goodbye. (Y/n) chuckles and gets up to lock the door before sitting back down on her couch and start the dreaded uni work. When she opened up her textbook, she was surprised by what she found inside.

There was a bunch of shiny and colourful pebbles that were sorted to shape a heart on the page with a note in the middle. She opened up the note and chuckled, reading the chicken scrawl.

"I really the sound of your laugh. Makes me happy to know you're happy."

(Y/n) smiles brightly, squealing softly as she held the note to her chest.
