"(Y/n)!" The poor girl tried to find her tall friends as she was shoved outside with the wave of crowds, trying to keep an eye out for Eddie but she couldn't find him and she became lost. She stayed outside next to the doors, hoping to see a glimpse of someone familiar until she saw the familiar mop of beautiful hair that obviously belonged to Steve.

"STEVE!" (Y/n) took in a deep breath to scream for him and he immediately whipped his head around like his mother instincts were turned on since he lost (y/n).

"(Y/n)! She's over there!" He yells out to the others and he shoves past people to get to her and holds her shoulders. "Shit, are you ok?"

"I'm fine Steve. Just got caught in the wave." (Y/n) let out a breath of relief, low-key shuddering from being completely lost in an area of Hawkins she didn't know.

"Oh thank god you found her! We need to go to the after-party!" Robin exclaims, grabbing both Steve and (y/n) and dragging them to Nancy's car.

"What's the rush? We should be fashionably late." Steve shrugs on sunnies like he was still cool and the girls-except for (y/n)-give him a pointed look.

"Cause Munson just confessed to (y/n) and I know that the poor boy is probably thinking that he was rejected-"

"-I would never reject him!" (Y/n) gasps as she slaps a hand to her mouth and the others all grin at her.

"So you do like him! YES!" Robin screams happily as she jumps in the air. "You owe me Popeye!" Steve groans and takes out some cash, slapping it in Robin's hand as the adults all scramble into Nancy's car before she drives off.

"You bet on me!?" (Y/n) narrows her eyes at the two video shop employees who shrug.

"I thought you two would be too scared to even try to confess. Robin thought one of yous might actually say something. It was a vague bet." Steve says.

"I didn't think he wanted to confess to you in such a romantic and dramatic way. I mean the guy is about theatrics." Robin says. It became quiet the rest of the way to the party as (y/n) tried to calm her nervousness. She had to give Eddie an answer after all. The adults soon jump out of the car to see a large house blasting with lights and music, people mingling in and out of the house doing sketchy stuff or down eighth making out in the open.

"I'm going to try and find Eddie." (Y/n) says.

"Do you want one of us to come with you?" Steve asks and the small girl shakes her head.

"Just maybe don't leave without me." (Y/n) nervously rubs her neck before manoeuvring through the bodies in the house, trying to find her puppy-like rockstar. She catches a glimpse of his famous soft hair as he heads to the backyard and she quickly runs after him. "Eddie!" (Y/n) calls out, apologising to the people she bumped into as she jumped out to the backyard to see it empty. She was confused and looked around, yelping in fright when she was pulled behind a tree with a hand over her mouth. (Y/n) was about to scream when she saw that it was Eddie in front of her, quietly shushing her as he let her go.

"Sorry-"

"-you scared me!" (Y/n) wacked Eddie's chest and he mocks hurt, pouting at her as he rubbed the spot over his heart.

"You wound me sweetheart." He smiles, stepping back to give her space and even though he was acting calm right now, his heart was leaping out of his chest.

What was she going to say?

Was she going to reject me?

Tell me that she only likes him as friends or maybe I ruined everything and she doesn't even want to be friends with me anymore-

"-Eddie." He blinks as she called for him, gently holding his cheeks and he looks down at her, his breath hitching in his throat from how beautiful she was at the moment. The moonlight made her glow like an angel that he always thought she was. "Eddie..." she whispers and he steps closer to her as he brushed her hair back before caressing her cheek, earning a blush that made his love for her grow.

"I really like you (y/n). As in, like like. I think I've always had feelings for you and you're just so- fuck, you're just so amazing and you make me feel weird and I love being with you and just being around you and I want to be the reason you smile-" Eddie catches himself when he realises he was rambling, his ears going red as he looks away in embarrassment. "I'm sorry. I know you're here to say that you don't like me, that I am just a freak and that you can't even think to be near me without being disgusted-" the poor boy freezes as his head gets turned and he feels softness press onto his lips. Eddie blinks as he looks down at (y/n) who was blushing like crazy, holding his shirt tightly in her hands.

She... she kissed me...

"I do like you Eddie, as in like like you. I have feelings for you too." Eddie couldn't believe what he was hearing, feeling a sudden rush of energy filling from the tip of his toes through his body to his head as a wide beaming smile braced his lips. He takes hold of (y/n)'s cheeks to have her look at him.

"You do!? You really do?" he whispers, seeing her nod and he yells out in happiness as Eddie picks up (y/n), spinning her around in his arms.

"Eddie!" she giggles and his heart soars, setting her down on her feet and he was shaking from unbridled amounts of excitement and happiness. His hands shook as he took her face gently, eyes staring into hers to only see warmth.

"I'm just-I really-fuck I-can I kiss you?" Eddie stumbles over his words, gasping lightly as (y/n) held his hands that were on her cheeks before nodding. He tries to calm himself, leaning down to press his forehead against hers before slowly pressing his lips against hers.

He was hit with an addictive taste of sweetness, leaning down more to kiss her as butterflies erupted in his stomach. No one ever made him feel like this and it scared him but at the same time, he loved it. Eddie lets out a shaky breath as he kisses (y/n) a little deeper when she pushes up into him further, shocked that she was kissing him back as her hands laid on his chest and his held her waist.

"Eddie..." she sighs and her sweet sound sent shivers down his spine, pressing his body against hers until she was pinned into the tree. Eddie couldn't help himself to want more, kissing (y/n) deeper as he tilted his head and her hands thread into his hair to pull him closer. (y/n) panted for air lightly as she shivered against the cold of Eddie's rings pressing into the skin of her waist, him slowly leans back to break the kiss before stealing one more quick peck.

Eddie was absolutely overjoyed, looking down at his love and his treasure that beamed up at him and he stole more short sweet pecks from (y/n)'s lips that earned him giggles. "I. Fucking. Can't. Get. Enough. Of. You." she blushed bright red and he swoons from how cute she was as she buried her face into his chest, chuckling softly. "Sweetheart, I have one more thing to ask you." she looks up at him from his chest, nodding. "Will you be mine?"

"Yes, Eddie. I want to be yours." He picks her up one last time, hugging her tightly.

"And you have me, my sweetheart. I am all yours now and forever." Eddie grins as he looks up at (y/n), kissing her nose before running inside the house with her in his arms and setting her down in front of the crowd who looked at them. "She said yes! SHE SAID YES!" the people cheer out for Eddie.

"THAT'S MY SHORT BESTIE!" Robin and Steve scream out the loudest, (y/n) groaning from the embarrassment but she smiles at her two video store employees.

"LETS PARTY!" someone from the crowd screams and the crowd goes wild as the music blast through the air again.

"How about you and me get plastered to celebrate tonight?" Eddie grins as (y/n) quickly nods in agreement.

"Let's go!" She exclaims, tugging him with her by the open pocket of his jeans and he smiles warmly as he let her pull him around. He truly did have everything he wanted. This was going to be his year.
