"I think that's a wrap boys!"

Silence finally greeted the streets of Hawkins as the boys in the Corroded Coffin Band ends their weekly Tuesday practice at The Hideout. They cheer at how well they played together, chatting about future gigs and performances or tweaking their instruments on how to sound better.

It had hit dark very quickly, Eddie carefully setting his sweetheart electric guitar in its velvet case. "Shouldn't you be heading home Eddie? Your uncle has a shift tonight right?"

"Oh shit!" Eddie quickly looks up at his fellow band member with wide eyes, grabbing his stuff and running out onto the street while jumping over furniture and instruments. "He's gonna be so fucking mad!" the hyper-energetic man dives into his van, revving up old Bessie and driving down the road as his friends all yell out their goodbyes.

Eddie jams out to the music that was blasting through his van, head banging to the beat as he swerves sharply to the trail park. He passes the long line of middle class houses and then the boarded up road going up to the forest cliffs before arriving at the park, breaking sharply to not crash into anything.

He was not going to jail again.

"I made it!" Eddie yells out as clambers out of his van to see his uncle glaring at him, arms crossed.

"Just about kid." his uncle sighs and grabs his stuff to take the van so he could go to work. "Don't cause any trouble while I'm gone." Eddie grins at his uncle who buckles up.

"Me? Cause trouble? Please, I'll be as quiet as a mouse!" he laughs and his uncle just sighs knowing that was the complete opposite of what he was going to do. "Scouts honour!" Eddie salutes before quickly catching his guitar case his uncle throws at him, watching the van drive away and he immediately gets bored. The man skips into his trailer, carefully setting down his sweetheart down before rummaging around his room for some pre-rolled blunts. Eddie sneaks out with his little metal box, heading for the blocked off road that led up to the cliffs.

It was a lovely night, quiet and peaceful and he wanted to enjoy it even more... high as a kite but fucking relaxed as hell. Eddie pats himself, searching for a lighter and he reaches into his pockets to light a blunt as he trudged up the hill but stopping before he reached the clearing edge that over looked a large lake.

There was a girl?

Eddie was immediately worried seeing this strange girl standing so close to the edge in nothing but a simple nightgown. No one should be here... no one dared to come up here except for him. Everyone knew that this was the one spot where people ended their lives, jumping off the cliff. Hawkins may be a ghost town but this cliff was where all the ghosts hung around.

Before Eddie could say a word to stop the girl, she moved to simply sit down on the ground against the single boulder that was stuck into the grass. The man-child let out a quiet breath of relief that the girl wasn't a jumper, picking up on the sing she was silently humming. He noticed the headphones she was wearing and the walkman in her hands as she looked up at the sky.

Eddie didn't know what to do, to stay or to leave. He didn't want to bother the girl but he was worried that she might do something. He took a careful step back, body going rigid when he accidentally snaps a twig beneath his foot. He quickly hides behind a tree, holding his breath as the girl looked behind her to see if someone was there. Feeling paranoid, she quickly got up and ran down the hill as Eddie watched from behind her to see her flee.

He shudders against the hit of something sweet smelling washing over him, deciding to just get high in the trailer instead of being out here. "Who was that girl?" Eddie mumbles, shaking his head and ignoring the small car that drove past him to the streets of the middle class houses.

~~~~~~~~
"Eddie! Wake the fuck up! You're late!" the man jolts up awake on his bed, groaning softly from the after-effects as he rubbed his face with his hands to rid himself of the headache. "Get up Eddie or I'll drag you to school!" his uncle yells out, tempted to drop the kid off at school as he is if he didn't get a move on.
"Hold your horses! I'm up-" Eddie yelps as he falls out of bed, his foot tangled with his bed sheets and he sighs out. "I'm getting dressed!" he lies, slowly getting up to quickly hide all his drugs and stashing them away before getting dressed and freshening up as best as he could. Sporting his usual style of denim vest, leather jacket, ripped denim jeans, sneakers and his Hellfire CluB shirt, Eddie ruffled his hair, not bothered to fix the fluffiness of it as he runs out of his room.
"You better be going to school and not ditching Eddie!" his uncle yells out as he jumps into his van, racing down the road to the hellhole he would finally graduate from. Third times a charm right?
Eddie ignores the glares and looks of disgust from the other cliques as he got out his van, heading straight inside the school for the Hellfire Club room before the classes started. As he walked down the hallway passing the jocks, preppy kids, cheerleaders, science nerds and the party hippies, he smells a familiar floral scent pass him. He stops immediately, turning around to catch whoever it was but it was next to impossible with the sea of students milling about in the hallway.
"Who are you looking for Eddie?" the man yelps and jumps away from the two smaller kids that popped out of nowhere, glaring down at Dustin and Mike as they blink up at him.
"Do not, I repeat, do not sneak up on me like that!" the boys look at each other, shrugging. "And to answer your question Dustin, it's none of your business." Eddie grins before walking away but he was thinking about where he remembered that floral smell from. He enters the clubroom, making sure that everything was ready and set up for the campaign after school.
"Have you guys seen the one chick walking around the school?" one of the club members pipe up.
"Dude, there's so many girls here be more specific."
"The one wearing like, a professional suit! I think she's a new teacher here."
"We have a new teacher?"
"Maybe? She looked way too young and hot to be one though."
"Where did you see her!?"
"Just this morning. Walking down the hallway." Eddie perks up at this piece of information.
"Not like I care or anything..." he turns around, looking at the boys. "but what did she look like?"
"Didn't really get a good look but I know she has dark hair." Eddie sighs as he throws his hands in the air in defeat.
"That doesn't really narrow it down does it!?"
~~~~~~~~

Eddie groans lightly as he was bored out of his mind, rolling a pencil against his table as the English teacher rambled on and on about something about a poem or some sort of famous writer. Honestly, what was the point of learning any of this if it wasn't relevant. Maybe learning to write out reports and documents for a business or how to write a resume would be more important but noooo, learning about dead people is more important.

Eddie looks up when he hears someone knocking on the door of the classroom, sitting up as the teacher opens the door to gasp loudly in happiness. This was the first time he ever heard her sound remotely happy. "Hi teach, am I interrupting?"

"(y/n)? Is that you?" Eddie leaned over to see a girl standing in front of the teacher, a big smile on her face as she wore business clothes just like Gareth explained.

"No way..." he mutters out, the teacher stopping the class to introduce this girl to the students sitting around him, all who muttered in confusion at who the fuck this person was.

"Students, meet (y/n). She was a student like you who graduated about 3 years ago." the students all mutter out, Eddie looking at this girl in her black heels, black slack pants, white blouse and professional blazer. It wasn't the odd choice of dress that caught his eye, it was the double helix piercings on her left ear and the small tattoo on the space between her thumb and index finger on the back of her hand.

"Sorry for bothering you. I just wanted to say hi." (y/n) smiles at the teacher, brushing back her fringe that fell from her clipped-up hair.

"Nonsense dear! It's been so long! How are you?"

"Not bad. I just came back to Hawkins for a project and I thought I would see the high school again."

"Were you a cheerleader cause you're hot!" Jason speaks up and (y/n) raises a brow at him, Eddie snickering at the glare she was sending the jock.

"No, I wasn't a cheerleader." She restrained herself from cursing the guy in front of her favourite teacher.
