Waking up was absolutely horrible, I groaned sitting up from my green sheets, the sun poured into my room. My ribs ached and my neck felt like it was twisted in the wrong ways. These were aches from being in battle weeks ago, my body never gets to heal as fast as everyone elses unless I go to the clinic for medicine, but this time I didnt bother.
I slipped on my dress and slid a headband on, walking out of my house into the bright sun. In my hand I held a hard cover book tightly in my arms as I skipped to the guild hall, my other home hehe. I reached the tall doors and slipped myself silently into the bar and made my way to the usual booth I sat at in the back during the day. I usually read and talked to Lucy for hours. Of course when she would be here.
Today everyone was crowded around the bar, Makarov was standing on the table as everyone watched him. I stopped in my tracks to listen.
"We have failed again to find zeref's mystery accomplice once again my children." He said shaking his head.
"Aw gramps come on! We almost had them, besides we have only been looking for a couple of days." Gray said.
"When I get my hands on them I'll show them who fairy tail are known for!" Natsu yelled out blaring fire out of his fists. Lucy slapped him on his head and he quickly blew them out.
"We need a new strategy, they have been terrorising towns and everyone is looking at us to stop them." Makarov announced.
"Well I'm sure they are using a shield to keep them hidden." Erza said.
"What do you mean?" Someone said.
"Like camouflage. They have a spell on their appearance." Erza said.
"Good thinking Erza. Where is freed? He can surely help cant he?" Makarov started looking in the crowd.
"Sir,Freed is currently on a voyage with the Thunder Legion." Mira softly said. Everyone started talking to one another. These kinds of missions were definitely a job for the s class wizards. And that was fine, I started off to my booth when my name was blurted out of the thin air.
"Oh course! Levy can help! She is the smartest mage in fairy tail!" Jet said in the loudest voice. Everyone stopped and looked around to find me standing clutching my book. I looked back and the first eyes I was caught with were red. I started the blush
"Wha-" I started.
"If anything she would know more then Freed to help us out!" Droy added in.
"This is true," makarov started. "Levy? Would you come with a team to see if our theory is correct if not decode the spell? This would be a great help to us."
I stood straighter up trying to seem taller comapared to everyone else. "I-i can if you need to me to master."
"Excellent! You'll be going with a team of the strongest. Juvia, Erza, Natsu, Lucy, gray, Gajeel." My heart thumped at the last night.
"What?! What about us?! We are a team!!" Jet and droy yelled in harmony.
"Yes well see theres no reason for you to come along. And levy will be in good hands." Makarov chuckled.
"Good? He means in great hands." Gajeel bumped my shoulder with his fist. I managed to gulp down my blush to look at him.
"I suppose so yes." I looked at the ground collecting my thoughts. In everyone's eye gajeel was someone who should have never stepped foot near me again for his actions back when he was trying to destroy Fairy tail. Years ago, but the irony only made us closer and ever since he had always been the way to protect me during the battles I was in. He would check up on me in the hospital too . Which no one ever showed such care towards me. So like anyone else I formed my own caring feelings for him. Feelings he could never know about.
"Damn right. I can't wait to kick some ass! All this running around for this idiot's has really got me going." He laughed, I expressed a cheery smile in return.
"I'm sure you'll be kicking a lot of it soon enough. I think I'll go to my seat now."
"Ah come on shrimp come sit with the team thats gonna be taking orders from you tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? We are heading out tomorrow?" I asked. Gajeel raised as eyebrow.
"Uh yes? Tomorrow morning as soon as possible. Theres no time to lose." Gajeel said. I nodded forcing a smile.
"Yeah, no no that's cool with me. I just gotta get
him now and rest up for tomorrow." I nudged past him.
"I'll come back and get you k?" He hillard. I blushes and waved behind me, not daring to look back.
Those words sounded like he would be picking me up for a date. But in my lonely world it's to find some stupid bad guy.
