Day 1

No baby should come into the world with the loss of their mother.
But that's just what happened. As the final push came around at 6 in the morning and the doctors pulled the waxy, bloody baby out of the mother, the mother got weak.
The pale, blood covered baby girl was taken to be cleaned while she cried and cried, taking her first breaths in her new world away from the comfort and warmth of her mother's womb. The father was absent from the room.
The nurses tried to keep the mother awake as the new baby breastfed for the first time.
It was unmistakable how similar the baby was to the mother, already grabbing the long brown hair the baby could reach.
"What's her name?" A nurse asked, wiping the sweat off the new mother, giving her a cold drink.
It took her a few moments of looking at the hungry child to think of a name. "Violet."

It was a couple hours after the birth before the father came into the hospital in a brown suit and a resting bitch face. His short, neat blonde hair seemed completely stuck in its pulled back state, he didn't seem amused that the child was crying or that the mother couldn't move to get the baby.
Violet cried and cried in the hospital cot, moving around her freezing hands and feet to try and get attention from anyone.
He went over to the almost lost life of the mother, his wife. "You had one job, to give me a boy." He sighed and looked at her "You better not die, this bill is costing your salary."
At first she seemed to have gotten better even if slightly. She was able to breastfeed by herself one last time, slowly slipping her wedding ring into Violet's blanket that had a little cut where she stored it.
"Don't let anyone push you around..." she whispered before giving the blabbering baby to the nurses who put her in the cot.
By 6 pm that day, she was gone.
The little baby noticed nothing except that she wasn't getting food whenever she whined or call for attention.

The father came home an hour later with his daughter fast asleep in her crib. Her chubby baby body face down on the mattress and a little rabbit with a bell on its stomach beside her.
Mr Edward Bishop spent his first day without his wife trying to sort out a cheap funeral for her while at the same time trying to find someone to look after his needy daughter while he was at work. Ordering a take away while the tiny baby slept away.
In the middle of the call, violet cried from being suddenly woken up as her body just suddenly decided it was hungry.
"Shut up! Can't you see I'm on a call?" Edward groaned, moving to another room in attempt to block out the child's screams.
"Yeah everyday fro- hold on a second." He slammed the phone on the desk and went to the child "what do you want?! I fed you an hour ago! Get back to sleep!"
Violet just cried louder and louder, moving her hands and legs as much as she could.
"Shut up!" Edward paced around, clutching his blonde hair and made some formula milk as fast as he could, using the fridge to quickly cool it down and picked her up, putting the phone to his ear while she fed.
He takes deep breaths, trying to calm down from his stress and horrid thought of strangling her to shut her up.
As she calmed down, she looked at her father with the temporary baby blue eyes and held the bottle the best she could with her mitten covered hands.
He tried his best to calm down, but always a part of that anger was there.
Even when he slept.
He just blamed his dead wife for getting knocked up.
He blamed her for leaving him with a baby.
He blamed her...
