After neither our boss believed us that we really saw this creature, we tried hard to convince the general of our sighting. Well, he didn't believe us either. Even more, he thought we shouldn't keep watch at this deep fucking hole anymore. He was afraid that we would infect all the others with our "bullshit" and scare them unnecessarily.

So what did the general do? He called our boss and told him that we are conspiracy theorists and that we are trying to impose our " imagination " on all the other agents and soldiers. Further, we were a big troublemaker and completely out of our minds if we really thought anyone would believe our story of this strange being.

Well, our boss acted accordingly. Or not. Because actually, he was planning to pull Yibo off guard duty anyway. Because he had a new undercover assignment for Yibo. And that at this time! Wow, just wow.

So our boss called Yibo and gave him the order to show up at the agency immediately. I drove Yibo and had to wait outside our boss's office while Yibo received his new instructions. When he came out of the office, he looked absolutely not enthusiastic. He explained to me that he was not allowed to tell me anything except that he was about to be flown out to his new mission and that he could not call or write me because he had to leave his private cell phone behind and also that he did not know how long it would take.

Wow, we didn't even have five minutes to say our goodbyes. Yibo pulled me with him to the staff restrooms, hugged and kissed me and told me we needed to stay strong now and not to worry. He said he would give everything to be back soon. I was still too shocked that he would be flown out of the country and we wouldn't be able to see each other or communicate for a while, to react appropriately.

I just stood there and stared at him speechless. I was angry because he was not allowed to tell me what his mission was, even though I outranked him. I was disappointed that we didn't have time for a proper goodbye. I don't know, there was just chaos inside me.

After one last hug and kiss, Yibo had to go downstairs to his colleagues who were already waiting for him. I had to go to my boss's office, who first gave me a lecture on how to behave towards higher-ranking people and that I shouldn't forget the rules of the agency.

I said nothing and just listened to all this blah blah blah annoyed. Then he informed me that I would also be taken off guard duty at this shitty hole. I was about to rejoice, until he told me that from now on I would be on patrol duty and would have to accompany soldiers on their rounds through the street.

In addition, he warned me not to talk about this "alleged" creature again. Because that would cause unrest and unnecessarily stir up fear. He said that probably Yibo and I had simply seen a weirdo who didn't want to abide by the lockdown and had masked himself.

My explanation that this creature didn't seem human at all didn't seem to interest him. He just said again in a very strict command tone: "That's enough! From now on you have patrol duty and you will accompany the soldiers at night on their rounds! Don't make any more trouble! Now go." And I left.

To my disappointment, I had to go back to General "Asshole" and he then assigned me to two soldiers whose orders I had to listen to. And he told me that if he heard me talking about this strange creature just once more, he would push me into this deep dark hole and claim it was an accident!

Since I didn't feel like arguing with that asshole, I just nodded, turned around and went to the two soldiers, who I just call Dumb and Dumber, as I was ordered. They explained the route we were going to take at night and I immediately got in an even worse mood. Really now? 8 - 10 hours, in full gear going through the streets and look whether everyone has stayed at home?

The only thing that didn't completely freak me out was that we wear body cameras on our uniforms and they record everything. So if we were to run into this or any other creature again, at least this damn camera would record everything and serve as proof!

Who knows, maybe I'll just take the machine gun, shoot the thing to pieces and then drag it into my boss's office! But probably he would then still claim it was only a human being with a few deformities! Oh yes, in addition then also Dumb and Dumber are my witnesses! What would the general say then if his men confirm this sighting and give him the videos as proof?

Why I call the two of them Dumb and Dumber? Quite simply, because I explained to the two that I was also in the course of my training as a special agent in the military and last had a higher rank than the two and they ask me nevertheless really, only 5 minutes later, whether I know how the machine gun functions or whether they should give me a briefing!

And then they explain to me the rules of the military and enumerate their codex. Really? Did they even listen to me when I explained long and wide that I was in the military myself?

Before we left for our tour in the evening, we ate together in the canteen and watched the latest news. There it was actually said that even more creatures had appeared in Poland. And that they were different creatures. Everyone believed that immediately, although there were no pictures or videos, but when Yibo and I told about the one creature we saw, no one believed us!

Honestly? I really hate my job for the first time ever! As a special agent working for the government, I have to follow their rules, laws and regulations. I have to obey what they say and order. And I am not allowed to speak my own mind! And woe I do not obey the orders, then I must reckon with hard consequences! Anyway, there are more important things at the moment!

Before we went on the way, I looked over my phone again in my social networks for news of friends and was quite shocked when I found a post of my ex-wife there. She wrote: "Want to know why my husband really divorced me? I'll tell you. He is gay and has a boyfriend now! He wanted to get rid of me to be free for this guy!"

I stared at this public post for quite a while and just thought like, shit now this dumb bitch is totally losing it! I immediately called this bitch and told her to delete this post again before I get uncomfortable. She laughed and said there was nothing untrue about it since I'm with Yibo.

So I said, "Listen to me carefully. You lied to me and cheated on me and not just once. You even lied and cheated on the guy you cheated on me with. I, on the other hand, never did that! I was the faithful one and only started a new relationship after I kicked you out of my apartment!"

She laughed idiotically and replied, "But that doesn't change the fact that you're gay!"

"Sure it doesn't change that. Likewise, it doesn't change the fact that you're a lying bitch who cheated on me."

"Zhan, I want you back."

"Are you crazy? You just said yourself that I'm gay. And even if I wasn't, do you think I would take you back after you cheated on me?"

"If you don't take me back, I'll leave the post online."

"Well, then do that. Then I'll report your post and we'll see how long it stays online."

"Then I'll write a new one."

"Do that. I don't have a problem with it. And just so you know, everyone already knows I'm in a relationship with a man."

"I'm sure your parents don't."

"Then call them and ask them. My mom was so happy that I broke up with you and then immediately wanted to set me up with Yibo. My dad is also absolutely thrilled with Yibo. And guess what, Yibo's parents like me too and were already going to start planning his and my future."

"Of course. And you should finally stop pretending that you still love me, if you ever did. Finally realize that it doesn't matter what you do or say, you and I are over and will never be again. Find another man, one you really love and just try to enjoy your happiness. Money isn't everything."

"No, no buts. Now take care, I'm busy." I said and hung up. I had to change for work. And on the other hand, I really missed Yibo terribly at that moment. After the almost 4 months he and I spent together 24/7, it's also no wonder I felt that way. Because I realized at that moment that I am all alone at home again and I don't know when Yibo will be with me again.

But I also have to say that I noticed during the phone call with my ex that I don't hate her or am still mad at her. I don't care about her at all by now. I hope for her sake that she gets her life together and leaves me alone. And I'm glad that she and I never had children. Because that had been an issue with her several times.

Dumb and Dumber were already waiting for me when I went to see them. They looked highly motivated. They must be enjoying their rounds through the streets. Who knows, maybe they are just glad to be far, far away from the general. I've overheard a few soldiers saying that they were happy not to have the general breathing down their necks.

We were dropped off at our starting point by a military Humvee and had to start our patrol together with a German shepherd. We had not gone 500 meters when we encountered a young couple who were outside during curfew.

Dumb and Dumber held their guns in their faces and wanted to know why they were outside. In response, the 18-year-old boy in love explained that he missed his girlfriend so much that he just wanted to see her for a minute. Dumb and Dumber sent his girlfriend back inside, since she lived there, and took the boy home with guns pointed at him. Which was about 200 meters away. This action proved to me that these two really are Dumb and Dumber!

Our patrol of the streets then continued. While I led the way with the German Shepherd, Dumb and Dumber talked about the previous weekend. I was amazed to hear them talk about what had happened in Poland, about how worried they are about these creatures and that they think we are far from being told everything.

However, I did not say anything. And it was very difficult for me not to say anything. But I don't want anyone to look at the video recordings, hear me talk about it and then get in trouble for it. I'd rather wait for the moment when I can tell my boss and the general: "I told you so!".

We have a long night ahead of us and I am already tired. My feet hurt from these damn shoes and everything is just annoying at the moment! And I miss Yibo very badly. Hopefully I can see him again soon.
