Return.

Dippers POV

Black enveloped me, a dark grey painting my dreams a dreary bland. I spun in a circle, I was standing in a field I didn't recognize.

Suddenly a strip of flame separated the plain and an all too familiar laugh rung through the air, causing me to cringe.

"Well well well well well well well," came the annoyingly pitched voice of Bill Cipher. "If it isn't Dipper Pines, Gravity Falls finest." The golden triangle demon appeared before me, dawning his usual form.

"Bill." I hissed. "What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing, kid, you came to me. You're in my territory. So let me ask you, what you're doing here."

I stopped, I was in the mindscape? Well I guess it wasn't that unbelievable. Bill floated above me, almost taunting. "How am I supposed to know? How do I know you didn't drag me here against my will?"

Bill seemed to shrug. "Well it certainly wouldn't be hard but why would I want to see the guy that destroyed my hopes and dreams, got me overthrown as leader and almost killed me?"

"Revenge?" I offered.

Bill scoffed. "Please I have no need for your petty human concept of revenge. You wanted to come here, the only question is why. What could you possibly want from me?"

"Nothing! I don't want anything from you!"

"Oh, now that almost hurt my feelings." He feigned a dramatized chest touch as if there was a heart there.

"Can it Cipher. Make me go back. Now." I pointed at the ground for emphasis.

"Fine, if you're going to be rude about it, I don't want to talk to you either." He huffed then twirled his finger, waking me up from the dream. I glanced at the clock, 8:23. Well no sense in going back to sleep now. I stood and made my way instead to Gruncles Ford's office in the basement.

He was doing something that involved peeling off a gnomes skin apparently. He paused his endeavor to turn his attention instead to me. "Hey Dipper, what's up?"

I wrung my hands nervously. "Last night in my sleep, I saw Bill."

Ford didn't seem fazed by this. "Being back here is probably bringing back memories you tried to forget."

"No, Gruncle Ford i-"

"Now Dipper, I'm busy. Its probably nothing, so go back upstairs and let your sister do your makeup or something. Just stop bothering me."

I grumbled to myself about his unfairness and went upstairs.

I sat in front of the TV and flicked it on, Mabel came in a while later and raised an eyebrow, "Dipper! It's a nice day, go outside."

I scoffed, "What are you, my mom?" Mabel chuckled and I joined her, she plunked herself on my lap, seated sideways. I leaned back in the armchair, pulling up the footrest, allowing Mabel extra room to stretch out, despite leaning against my chest. Not that she was very heavy though. We watched old Ducktective episodes that were replaying, neither of us minded though.

After about 7 episodes I got drowsy, Mabel was a very good blanket. I dozed off at around noon with her asleep on top of me, a small quilt draped over her. It wasn't cold or anything, but it was always nice to have one.

When I opened my eyes I found the same scenery as the last time, the open field, tinted grey and bland. Bills laugh rang out around me and I rolled my eyes. Not this again. He appeared in front of me in a flash of blue fire.

"Pine Tree," he cheered, "back again I see. Welcome, welcome! Come on in! I figured you'd be back so I took the liberty of getting some food ready! You like fingers right?" Bill asked as a floating bowl of fingers appeared in front of him, they were obviously cooked with spices and a weird brown sauce. Dipper cringed, "Yeah, no."

Bill seemed disappointed but bounced back quickly. "Well, more for me then, ahahahaha!" He snapped his fingers and the bowl vanished, leaving behind the smell of flesh that sickened me. "So!" Bill interrupted my train of thought, " I'm assuming you still don't have a reason for being here. Or at least not that you admit. Maybe you just missed me! Admit it, you missed me."

"Get real, " I shouted, "you're dragging me here! Now tell me why! Why can't you just leave me alone?"

"You think I want to see you? Guess again kid. I have no intentions with your world anymore. Even if I did there's no way for me to get back. The rift is gone and the portal is destroyed. I couldn't do anything if I wanted to."

I narrowed my eyes, I didn't believe him. He was definitely plotting something, he was Bill!

"Shut UP, kid! Honestly, your thoughts are so loud! If you doubt me so much then why don't you do something about me? Kill me. I don't have anything left to live for anyways." He mumbled the last part but I still heard him, he wasn't sad, more angry. I suppose he hated me for the same things I hated him for.

He floated at eye level and I saw the hate burn deep within him.

"Okay, sorry." I said, feeling a little bad. "I'm just angry with youI guess. You did some pretty mean stuff, you know."

"Course I know, Kid. And I'm not going to apologize, everyone has their reasons for what they do."

"Yeah and your is that your insane."

"So I'm insane, whats your point? Thats got nothing to do with this."

This surprised me. Did he really only do what he did because he felt like it? Because he's evil? Well probably, but who knows. Bill was staring at me, I could feel it. I sighed, "Alright, fine. I don't know why I'm here but... Guess I could be a little nicer."

Bill spun around, "Great! Now, can I offer you anything? A seat?" A couch appeared behind me. I sighed and sat down, why not, right? It was actually quite comfy.

"It's nice, isn't it?" Bill asked and I nodded, "It's made of living flesh!" He cheered happily, obviously very proud, I squeaked and stood quickly. This was going to be a mess. I turned to Bill, about to speak but he just laughed, "Sorry kid, looks like your time is up! Say hi to Mabel!"

And with that the world around me disintegrated and was slowly replaced with the TV room of the Mystery Shack. Mabel was standing up in front of means yelling my name. I groaned, "Okay, okay I'm up!"
