 HAPPY VALENTINE"S DAY GUYS!!

        I slipped on my skull dress and straightened my hair with a wet to dry straightener then threw on some eyeliner and mascara. I put black converse on with my dress and then looked myself over in the mirror. I faked a smile then began walking down the stairs. I found Kid, Blackstar, Tsubaki, Maka, and Soul along with Liz and Patty laughing and talking.While Dimitri was stuffing his face in the kitchen not really paying attention. "Hey guys" I greeted them smiling. "Hey" They all said in unison. I looked at Kid and blushed when his eyes widened. "Your absolutely beautiful" Kid whispered as he pulled me into his arms. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder. Kid moved his hands down to my waist as we began swaying back and forth to the music. Everyone else was doing the same with their designated partners. Soul and Maka. Blackstar and Tsubaki. Liz and Patty, with Patty's stuffed giraffe. I closed my eyes and embraced the moment as I remembered something from my past.

Flashback

        I was in the back of the car as Mommy and Daddy pulled off the highway to an empty driveway. Their song had begun playing and of course they had to dance. I watched as Daddy took Mommy's hand and they began swaying back and forth to the radio. I pulled my seatbelt off and slipped out of the car and snuck into the dance with them. I saw Daddy's {E/C} eyes shine as he looked into Mommy's {E/C} ones. Mommy and Daddy's arms wrapped around me as we all danced. I heard Daddy whisper sweet words in Mommy's ear then I saw Mommy smile. Daddy smiled too. I always loved seeing them smile especially Daddy..he never smiled much.

End of Flashback

        I felt tears fall down my face as Kid and I danced. I tried to hold them back but they kept falling. I pulled away from Kid and excused myself and quickly ran upstairs trying my best to avoid eye contact with everyone else as I ran into my room. I closed my door behind me and then grabbed the picture of him...my father and fell onto my bed sobbing. After a few minutes I heard a soft knock on the door and Kid's concerned voice. "{Y/N}...love may I come in" He called. I was too busy sobbing to answer so Kid opened my door and gently closed it as he laid down next to me and pulled me into his arms. I gripped onto his shirt tightly and continued to sob into his shirt. He rubbed my back comfortingly and cooed soft words. "Shh everything will be okay" He whispered. "I..I miss him..s...so..m..much" I sobbed. "Who love who is it you miss" Kid asked softly. "D..da..daddy" I cried gripping onto Kid even tighter. "I'm so sorry {Y/N}...shh everything will be okay love I promise I'm here for you" Kid whispered. "He..he died..he go..got drunk and then..died in a car wreck" I sobbed loud. Kid began rocking me back and forth. "I know love I know it hurts shh..everything will be okay I'm here I'll never leave you.." Kid cooed softly trying his best to comfort me. I began to feel better and my tears began to recede. "{Y/N} I know your upset that he is gone but just know he is always protecting you. He resides in your soul, watching you, guarding you, your own personal guardian angel" Kid exclaimed. I nodded and took Kid's words to heart and felt a smile tug at my lips. "He's always with me no matter what" I whispered. "That's exactly right {Y/N}. You may think you've lost him but he's even closer to you now" Kid smiled as he pushed my {H/C} bangs out of my eyes. "I love you {Y/N}" Kid whispered. "I love you too Kid" I smiled as I laid my head on his chest. 

        "Kid...does everyone hate me now" I whispered after a few minutes of laying there in silence. "{Y/N} of course not why would they hate you" Kid questioned. "Be..because I ran out crying..I ruined the party" I began tearing up again. "Shh don't cry love and no they aren't upset at you they are just concerned they want you to be happy and okay." Kid explained. "Oh..okay" I sighed. "Would you like to return to the party or should I ask them to leave" Kid asked. "I..I want to go back" I answered weakly. "Are you sure love" Kid questioned. I nodded and Kid crawled off the bed, "I'll be down in a minute" I told him. Kid nodded and left me alone in my room to regain my composure. I walked over to the mirror and wiped the smeared mascara off and then picked up my journal and a pen.

Journal,

        Today has been a tough day for me. Dimitri and I returned from our mission and a party is going on as I write this. Of course I have to break down in tears during the party worrying everyone and ruining everything. I just miss Dad so much. I wish he didn't have to leave so soon.. Kid understands..he helped me to feel better...to think about Dad's death in a new way. He's in my soul, my heart, watching me, guarding me, my guardian angel, I feel closer to him now...maybe everything will be okay....

Once I finished writing in my journal I set it down along with the pen and headed downstairs to find everyone waiting for me. Dimitri ran to me and pulled me into a big hug. "We've got your back no matter what happens {Y/N}. If you ever need anything...we're all here for you..until the end" Dimitri smiled. My heart swelled up and I smiled at everyone. They were the greatest friends I could have. Even Blackstar...I still found him annoying. I felt so lucky to have them..all of them..especially Kid. If I hadn't had taken that offer to come to the DWMA I wouldn't have made it. Not without them..not without knowing....that I had a guardian angel..
