Chapter 20

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Jennifer

I tried to text you on Insta but you didn't answer so I had no choice but to resort to sending you a hand written note. Oh boy, I never thought I would ever do that. Meet me tomorrow at the library by nine.
-Axel Dawson

What the hell? It was Axel. I was worried for no reason at all. Obviously, how would I receive his messages on Instagram when I blocked him after he painted my image as his 'Stalker'.

I reached the library before nine to settle this once and for all. He shouldn't be writing notes to me.

I stepped into the library with a mission to look for that chocolate brown eyed boy. He should've specified the place within the territory of the enormous library.

I was about to give up the hunt when I spotted him sitting at the end of one of the aisles on the second floor.

He looked up from the book he was reading and pointed a finger at me, "You're late, Stalker."

"Stop calling me that and I'm not late. You should have specified the exact location." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"I wanted you to find me on your own." He smirked. I never get it when someone's trying to flirt or not so I asked, "Are you trying to flirt or something?" I said wryly and looked around to make sure no one is disturbed because of our conversation.

"I need to tell you something." He sighed as if contemplating whether to go on or not.

"Like what?" He motioned for me to take a seat next to him so I took a few strides in his direction and plopped down on the floor next to him.

"What the hell is that?" He pointed towards my very vampirish looking shoes with horrifying faces all over. I bought them specifically for today because I'm going to that vampire themed adventure park with Mr. Reynolds and I really need to hurry as I need to meet him at ten o'clock.

"Trendy shoes. Now let's get back to the topic, will you?" I said taking the book from his hand and checking the title reading, 'How to Reject Someone Nicely 101'.

I looked at him while practically shoving the book in his face, "Really? How to reject someone nicely? Look, I'm not interested. I've already told you so that day and I just said that again today as a testimony. Alright? Are we cool now?" Kathy really did me dirty by liking every single one of his posts.

"What makes you think that I'm reading this to reject you?" He raised an eyebrow and took the book back.

"You think I'm stalking you cause I'm all over you." I shrugged but noticed him looking around.

I was about to turn to have a look as well when he took my hand in his making me stop and look at him quizzically.

"If anything you seem to be the one pining for me." I laughed and he immediately backed off.

"As if that's the case." He said defensively and looked around one more time. I turned around and noticed no one. What was he looking at?

"Yes, the feeling is mutual. Now what's up with your longing stare at the Library ghost?" I joked. He seemed like a nice guy if circumstances were different, we could have been really good friends by now but he wouldn't let go of the fact that I'm kind of a stalker.

"Look I don't want to scare you but I think someone is secretly capturing your photos. . ." He said, looking all serious all of a sudden. I looked around but no one was there.

"Not now, yesterday. You were in the cafeteria when I noticed someone taking pictures of you." It suddenly clicked how my father had all the images. Did he hire someone to do this?

"Who?" I asked him after sighing.

"I don't know, when I tried to stop this person that person ran away." He shrugged while deep in thought.

"Person? You don't know if it was a girl or a boy?" For god's sake I don't even know the gender of the person who was taking pictures of me for god knows how long.

"I mean it couldn't tell if it was a girl or boy. You know because this person was in all black with a hood."

"I saw someone in all black as well when I was in the sports complex. It must have been the same person."

"Jennifer, I'm gonna ask you one question and I won't judge you. Are you or are you not part of the mafia?" He asked with a stony face that it made me laugh even in this shitty situation.

"What? No. Hey, it's not like that. You've read too many mafia books to think that." I smiled a genuine smile.

"If you say so." He smiled.

"Thanks for telling me that. And can you do a favour?" He nodded so I continued, "When you see this person again, let me know or help me catch that person."

"Duh, of course." After that we talked about the most random things and before I realized, it was already quarter to ten. I unblocked him on Instagram and I was on my way to meet Mr. Reynolds.

The parking lot assigned for the professors is at the back side but it would look weird if I get inside a professor's car like that so I asked him to meet me at the same bookstore where he handed me a note.

I was already late when Monica stopped me to help her write down some words apparently for fun cause she needed nothing more than a few hundred words for a six line poetry she started writing online.

I have no idea when she got interested in poetry but boy, one look at her poetry and you wanna jump off the cliff.

It took us half an hour before she was satisfied with some poetry about a boy who is arrogant, conceited, heartless, close-minded and not to mention has low emotional intelligence which makes you wanna punch him in the face but nonetheless handsome.

I felt bad for lying to her that I'm gonna spend the day with Audrey so we bid goodbye after that.

It took me ten minutes to reach the bookstore because I wanted to make sure that no one recognizes me. I looked around to spot his Tesla and found it parked across the street.

Practically running across the road like a girl who just stole this whole attire I pulled open his car door and got settled in the passenger seat.

"Excuse me? Who the hell are you? Get off my car, right now." He said angrily, pointing a finger at me and pulling out his phone.

"It's me, Jennifer." I said in a rush before taking off the scarf, sunglasses and a blue wig that I stole from Audrey.

"Are you alright? What are you wearing?" He said chuckling while taking the wig from my hand and putting it on his head to try it. He looked really cute while looking at himself in the rearview mirror.

"I don't want people to recognize me. You know some people might think that we are... you know... meeting outside college." I tried to explain that we are not supposed to meet outside college unless it's for educational purposes but it came off as me sounding weird.

"Are we not?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"Duh, but don't you know that's not allowed." I said nervously because what if he throws me out of the car. Wait, he better give me my ticket first.

"What's with the outfit?" He ignored what I just said so I did the same and looked at my outfit. In my opinion, wearing a red cape with a big collar isn't bad. Is it?

"I'm sorry I can't stop laughing." He said after putting the blue wig back on my head.

"Yeah, yeah laugh all you want." I removed the cape to reveal regular jeans and top.

"Woah." He said, staring at me.

"Now, what? Is this bad as well? You know what, just give me the ticket. I'll take a taxi." He's making fun of me even after knowing that we are going to the vampire themed adventure park. Is he dumb or what?

"Calm down. Look we are colour coordinated." That's when I noticed that he's wearing an all black outfit while I wore a blank full sleeve top and jeans. Telepatià.

"Oh, sorry for the outburst. It's just some kid called me a joker on the way so I was kind of frustrated." He told him honestly.

"No problem. Do you have a phone charger? I think I forgot to bring in mine." He said searching through his car cabinet.

"Nope, I don't carry a phone charger."

"By the way, nice picture huh. I never thought you would be that active on social media." I said after I noticed his Instagram profile in my suggestions.

"What are you talking about?" He said after putting my stuff on the back seat.

"Your Instagram profile. Wow you've posted so much while I post after like an eternity." I showed him my phone screen and he took my phone from me.

"I don't have an Instagram account." He scrolled through the profile and made a weird face.

"So you are telling me this 'heartthrob_reynolds' isn't your Instagram?" I inclined my head in his direction and our heads were practically touching. He didn't move away and neither did I.

"What the fuck." He cursed out loud making me laugh.

"Professors are not supposed to use profanities." I tapped his shoulder lightly as if imparting divine knowledge.

"Heck any sane person would know that I didn't post this. If you look closely you'll realize that these pictures look like pictures taken by paparazzi. Who the hell is running this account? I gotta add reporting this account to my list of things to do." He sighed and punched in the destination on maps.

"You've got a stalker. What if this person follows us and snaps pictures of us together. We are doomed." I said and thought about the stalker I have as well. Oh no. For all I know both of our stalkers are out there looking for us, mine with a crazy psycho mindset whereas his with a little heart in his or her eyes.

"Relax, these are tinted windows, alright? All of these pictures are taken in college so I guess a student is doing it. Don't worry." He said while looking ahead on the road as he was now driving.

"Yeah you're right it's not like we are doing something wrong. Right now, what song should I play?" When he shrugged, I said, "Light switch it is then." I wish I had a switch which could turn off these stalkers cameras.

A/N: Do you think Jennifer's father hired someone to keep an eye on her or is it someone else?

I love each and every one of you!!!!!

I hope you have a wonderful day.
