I turned around and spotted Mr. Reynolds looking worried. "We need to get out of here." He said and took four long strides before grabbing my hand. All I did was look at him dumbfounded as I couldn't seem to focus on anything except the fact that he's looking so cute.

My stomach filled with a freaking zoo when he squeezed my hand as if reassuring me that everything is going to be okay as long as I'm with him.

Once he opened the door, he let go of my hand because other professors were there. The zoo in my stomach was long gone as I looked around and spotted people running to get out of the premises.

We left the building in time and after the fire was put out, all I could hear was people whispering.

Many were injured and an ambulance was there in no time. I spotted some students coughing loudly as they got out from the rooms closer to where the fire broke out.

Some seemed shocked by the incident while others were busy filming a vlog or doing a freaking Instagram live. Gosh, people.

I was startled when someone said, "Hello, my social media stalker." I turned my head only to find the person I was avoiding the most, Axel Dawson. Shit.

"Gosh. You scared the hell out of me." I said putting my hand on my chest.

"Why are you here again?"

"Looks like someone has a crush on me." I looked at him with wide eyes before grabbing his hand and taking him away so no one could hear us.

Once we were several meters away, I spoke before he could say anything rubbish, "Look-" I stopped and looked directly into his gorgeous chocolate brown eyes, "I didn't like your pictures on Instagram, it was my friend, I swear."

"Really?" He said, narrowing his eyes at me as if to check for any signs of lies.

"I'm not interested in you whatsoever." I returned the challenging gaze.

"Cool." He said smiling brightly as if he weren't staring down at me a moment ago. "I knew it, Jennifer Winget would never fall for anybody."

"What? Don't tell me you're a part of an online community called 'No boyfriend for Jennifer' which discusses my non-existent love life." I laughed thinking about it.

"Actually... there is." He said looking dead serious again. My mouth was wide open for any fly to have a look around my mouth.

"Kidding, you're really gullible. See you around." He closed my mouth with his hand before leaving me flabbergasted.

Atleast, I was able to solve one problem.

Audrey:
Hey, I don't want to scare you but your apartment building has been demolished. All of your stuff is delivered to my apartment.

Me:
OMG! What happened?

Audrey:
It was illegally built or something. Don't worry. We'll live together and party all the time.
One more thing, don't go near that area, you know it's filled with dust and all.

Me:
Alright! I'll see you later

For some reason I don't want to go back to Audrey's. I went inside a cute cafe to have a cup of coffee. Light music was playing in the background while I observed the people sitting with their families, friends or partners.

People were happy with their ordinary lives while I was stuck in this spider web.

I still couldn't process what happened today, first that weird call, then fire broke out and even my apartment building is demolished.

I feel like I need to get out of here. What is going on in my life?

I was about to finish off my coffee when a completely perplexed looking Kathy came running towards me.

I gave her 'what?' look so she said, "Jen, I just witnessed something really weird... right in front of my eyes. At first, I thought I might be hallucinating all of that crap but then after asking a couple of people around... it turns out to be true. I mean... that girl was running after him carrying a bouquet of red roses. She was saying 'I know you'll love me one day.'"

"Is it something related to a girl named Veronica?" I asked, smirking which made her gasp at me.

"But you weren't even there when that happened, you were here, right? You couldn't possibly be at two places at the same time." She said, narrowing her eyes at me. I beckoned her to take a seat so she slipped into the seat across from me.

"Actually..."

"You have a time machine somewhere hidden around here, don't you?" She said with eyes wide open.

"Don't be silly Kathy. Well..."

FLASHBACK

I was about to exit the washroom stall when I heard two hushed voices. I'm not a fan of eavesdropping but when I heard my name, I had this sudden urge to know what they were talking about?

Never thought someone would talk about me, I mean who am I? I'm not some famous person to begin with. I tried to hear their conversation by placing my ear near the stall door.

'I know it may hurt you that I'm saying this but it looks like he's into Jennifer.' Someone said, with a grunt.

'She's a bitch for giving him false hopes.' A venomous voice said. Who are they talking about? Can't these two people talk a little louder and say the damn name.

'I think you should go and fight with her.' Okay buddy, I'll see you on the battlefield then but what's it for!

'Let's do something bad to her.' Oh someone's ganging up on me. If it's because Mr. Reynolds gave me his phone number then I'm so done with everyone.

Last week someone tripped me over for the same reason cause I refused to share his number.

Not only that but people tried to steal my phone. I mean who does that except obviously who are in this kind of profession like thieves.

Ugh Mr. Reynolds could have given me his email address like he did in other classes but no, he had to give me his freaking precious phone number.

But wait, the thing is whose fault is that people got to know about this thing in the first place. MONICA. I'll deal with that girl once I'm out of this washroom.

'Seriously? Well I'm in then.'

'I can do anything to get Hiten' I looked at the door incredulously. They were talking about that stupid Hiten all this time? Where can I bang my head right now so that they wouldn't be able to hear the noise. Ugh I'm sure I'm surrounded by an army of idiots.

First, my father misunderstood the situation with Hiten and now these two dumbos. I can't take it anymore. Let's kill two birds with one stone.

I opened the door and looked at both of them, furious with that signature intimidating look I usually do so well as they were freaking talking about Hiten. I was so mad at them that I wanted to rip their heads apart.

One of the girls-who has yellow hair, well I'm not judging-got scared that she started saying, "I'm sorry Jennifer. I'm so sorry. I don't have anything to do with all of this... it's her who has a crush on him." I raised my eyebrow at her so she continued, "Please don't tell Monica." Oh so it's Monica she is more afraid of. I guess what she did to Adam that day made her the gangster lady of college after all. Well anyways... It's good.

"I need to talk to her alone." I pointed towards the other girl. The yellow hair girl took all of her stuff and ran away leaving her friend. A minute ago they sounded like partners in crime, I guess I was wrong.

"Do you have a crush on Hiten?" I asked in an intimidating tone.

"Look, I know there's something going on between you two but I can't help but fall for him over and over again." She said looking directly in my eyes. This girl got some guts to be honest.

"Oh my gosh... I'm so happy that YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON HITEN." I said, patting her shoulder a little harder than I would normally do. I'm on cloud nine right now. Please god, it better not be a dream.

"Please don't shout, someone else might hear you." She said blushing.

"Let them hear, I don't care." And added, "Hiten and I are just good friends. You can have him." I mentally rolled my eyes at the 'good friends' part.

"I think you two make a good couple and you should ask him out." I just realized that I am a great actor, if not business then I can easily conquer the acting world. I mentally patted my back and imagined myself receiving an Oscar.

"Are you serious?" She asked, looking at me hopefully. Hiten it's time to pay back. And look at this girl bitching about me a few minutes ago and now putting up an all that good girl innocent act.

"Yes, one hundred and one percent. You know... Hiten is a type of guy who plays hard to get but all you need to do is to stand your ground no matter what, show your love for him and you might, no scratch the part where I said might, you'll definitely get him." I said giving thumbs up to her while gently wiping away my non-existent tears with the back of my hand.

"Thank you so much." She said, giving me a quick hug.

"By the way, I'm Veronica." She said to which I gave her a genuine smile because she might be able to do me a favour that I've craved for a long time.

"One more advice, call him baby instead of Hiten. He loves the person a trazillion times more when they call him baby." I said winking at her.
