Tiffany's POV

"Taeyeon-unnie...?" Seohyun asked. I blushed when Taeyeon hugged me.

"What? You guys told me to comfort her so here i am." Taeyeon said.

"That's not what we meant on comfort!" Hyoyeon yelled.

"N-no. It's fine." I said and gently pushed Taeyeon away.

"Sorry for making you watch that movie. I didn't knew you were such a scaredy-cat." Taeyeon said.

"It's okay." I said.

"Hey, Tiffany. I saw you blushed when Taeyeon hugged you." Jessica said.

"Who wouldn't blush when someone hugged you?" I asked. Jessica looked away, probably blushing.

"You guys go home. Im gonna do something quite important." Taeyeon said.

"Like what?" We asked.

"It's really importa--" Taeyeon was cut off when her phone rang. Taeyeon answered it.

"Hello?" She asked. She looked shocked and worried.

"What hospital?!" Taeyeon yelled.

"Got it." Taeyeon said and hung up then sat down.

"Is everything okay?" We asked.

"Dont mind me." Taeyeon said.

"Shut up. Just tell us what's wrong." Jessica said.

"*Sigh* My mom is in the hospital." Taeyeon said. Hearing the word 'Mom' made my heart ache. Poor Taeyeon. It must be really hard for her.

"Why?" Sunny asked.

"They said she have a fever. A strong one." Taeyeon said.

"I see." Sunny said. I didn't said a word but sighed.

"What's with the sighing?" Sooyoung asked. I forced my self to eye smile but i ended up only smiling.

"Nothing." I said.

"When you dont eye smile, nothing seems to be fine." Yoona said. How'd she know that??

"Hearing the word 'mom' makes me...sad." I confessed.

"Why?" Yuri asked. Jessica nudged her shoulder hard that made her shut up.

"We understand. Dont talk about it." Jessica said.

"Well, we dont." The others said. Taeyeon just kept silent and i swear i saw her eyes watery.

"When i was a child, my mom is the closest to me among my family. But then, she saw my dad with another woman so, dad confessed that he loves the other woman than my mom. Days and weeks passed, my mom never talked to me. To us. My dad visited us one day but mom immediately told him to get out without a second thought. I used to think that it was all a misunderstanding but it wasn't. A year after that, i saw my dad making iut with his other woman in his house. Yes, i was gonna visit him to say something...important. I came backt o the house and heard sobs. I entered mom's room and saw my brother (im not sure if Tiffany has a brother) crying in front of mom's dead body. There was a pool of blood on the floor. It was my mom's blood. She killed herself because she couldn't take it anymore. She truly loved my dad but dad didn't even noticed it. Another year after that, my brother left me. Dont get the wrong idea. He left me because he has work to do. I was alone in the house reminding all the memories we had. One day, dad entered the house. I looked at him with a glare. Dad's eyes showed worry and sorry. He was with his other woman. They visited me to check on me. Dad knew that mom died but never showed his sadness. While his woman was quite happy. I immediately got them out of the house and cried. A lot. I cried all night. And then--" I was cut off when Taeyeon shushed me with a hug.

"You've said enough." She whispered. I looked at everyone and saw that they're tearing up. Was that really sad? A tear suddenly fell on my cheek. I didn't noticed that i would cry.

"Tiffany, you didn't have to *sob* tell us." Sooyoung said.

"You guys were the one *sob* who forced her to *sob* tell us." Yuri said.

"Guys, *sob* it's okay." I said. Taeyeon pulled back and wiped away my tears.

"Where's your Dad now?" Yoona asked.

"I have no idea. I dont give a shit where he is now." I said. I quickly covered my mouth.

"Oooh, Ms. Eye Smiler is saying a bad word, eh?" Jessica teased. I shooked my head.

"It was a mistake." I said.

"Let's go." Taeyeon said.

"Go where?" Sunny asked.

"To the hospital." Taeyeon said. Taeyeon's phone rang again.

"Hello?" Taeyeon asked. She put it in speaker and we listened.

"Tae, mom's...gone. She's gone." Taeyeon's brother said.

"She's...what?" Taeyeon asked with tears.

"She's gone." Her brother said again. Taeyeon quickly hunged up and cried in my arms. I hugged her back while gently stroking her hair.

"Taeyeon..." I mumbled. I feel sorry for her... Very sorry...

[ Three Days Later ]

"Tiffany?" I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door and saw Sooyoung and Sunny.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Taeyeon hasn't going in the school." Sunny said.

"Well, of course. She's depressed. How did you expect her to go to school?" I asked.

"Yes, we know that but...there's an important summative test tommorow and we're afraid that she wouldn't come to the school. The test is really important, Tifanny, you know it." Sooyoung said.

"Yes, i know that the test is important but we have no choice but to wait for Taeyeon." I said.

"Why dont you make her come to the school?" Sunny asked.

"I dont know if it'll work." I said.

"You're the closest to Taeyeon among us. Im sure you can do it." Sooyoung said.

"Fine. I will." I said after sighing.

"Yay! We knew we could count on you. Bye, see ya tommorow!" Sunny yelled and they walked out of my house. I closed the door and sat on the couch.

"How should i get her to school?" I mumbled. I stood up again and went to Taeyeon's house. I knocked on the door but there's no one answering.

"Tae?? You there?" I asked while still knocking. I peeked at the window and saw her asleep. I twisted the doorknob and it opened. Taeyeon didn't locked the door? I entered the house.

"Tae, wake up!" I yelled. Taeyeon slowly opened her eyes.

"Oh, Tiffany." She said and sat up.

"You haven't been going to school. There's an important test tommorow. If you wont come tommorow, you'll be kicked out. You know that you're only a scholar." I said and sar beside her.

"Im sorry i didn't came to school so often. Im just---"

"It's okay. I know you're depressed and sad." I said and held her hand.

"I just coudn't believe it." Taeyeon said and looked down, tears are once again falling down from her eyes. I hugged her tightly.

"Im sorry. I just couldn't hold it in." Taeyeon sobbed out.

"It's okay to cry." I whispered. I cant help but cry too. Seeing my friend like this hurts me so much.

[ The Next Day ]

"Im nervous for the test and...Taeyeon." Yoona said while we were walking around the campus.

"Im sure she'll come to school." Yuri said.

"You can at least act worried." Sunny said.

"She's here!"

"Wow... She recovered..."

"How are you?"

"......." The others didn't said a thing.

"TAEYEON!!" I yelled and immediately hugged Taeyeon. I know we just saw each other yesterday but i missed her in this school. The tohers quickly ran to Taeyeon and hugged her too.

"You guys..." Taeyeon said.

"You're back!" Seohyun yelled.

"Yeah." Taeyeon said.

"How are you now?" Hyoyeon asked.

"Im fine now." She said and smiled. She didn't forced herself to smile and it wasn't a fake smile either. It's a real bright smile that i've never seen before. Taeyeon is really strong... I admire her so much...
