Alex's POV:
"Wake up, child. God, I always have to be your human alarm." Jefferson shouts, mumbling at the end. I groan and sit up, a piece of hair falling into my face. I huff and throw a pillow at his face before shouting back.
"You could just, oh, I don't know-...LET ME SLEEP?"
"Whatever," he replies, very maturely throwing the pillow back at me. "Your dad would kill me if I let you miss class, ya know." I wipe the sleep from my eyes and throw the blankets off before standing up and going to my dresser.
"Good thing my dad left when I was a kid then, aha."
"Mmm, why is everyone talking." John grumbles, sitting up from where he was under the blankets. "How long have you been th- ya know what never mind. Y'all better not have done anything, because Washington will also kill me for that. He'll kill me for anything. Honestly, I don't think he likes me very much."
Thomas points out, chuckling. I roll my eyes and pull out rolled black Jean shorts and a green crop top. I look over to see if Thomas left, which he did, and then go over to John.
"G'mornin," He mumbles sleepily, his country accent seeping out. I blush at this, pecking him on the cheek softly and sitting next to him. "What's gotcha all flustered, huh?" John asks smugly, sitting up on the bed, exposing his slight abs. "You know what, cheeky bitch." I say sharply, although an amused smile plays on my lips.
"What? Is it my accent, darlin'? Ya know it only comes out when 'm tired." He teases, smirking at me. I smile and push his chest lightly. "Shut up.." I giggle. My boyfriend wraps his hand around my waist and pulls me back down so I'm laying on his chest. "Oh, 'm sorry, do you not like it? Cuz I'll stop, darlin' just say the word." He continues, running his fingers gently through my hair, getting out the tangles.
"No, no, don't get me wrong, I like it. A lot. I just don't need to be so in love this early in the morning." I say, tracing circles on his stomach lightly. He chuckles and kisses me on the head. "Anytime I see you I'm madly in love, so, this is your payback." I giggle and get off his chest, kissing him on the lips sweetly. I pull but after a moment and take the clothes into my hands.
"We have class, you sap. I'm going to go in the bathroom, so change, yeah?"
John makes noises of protest and dramatically gets off the bed to walk over to me. "Can't you just get dressed in here with me, though?" He asks teasingly, lifting the bottom of my chin to look at him. "Well...." I start, wrapping my arms around his hips and pulling myself closer so our bodies are touching.
"No." I finish, pecking him on the cheek and walking off to the bathroom. I hear John complaining from the bedroom and giggle to myself, brushing my hair out and sighing contently. We finish getting ready, I say goodbye to Jefferson, and me and John walk through the hallway filled with homophobes cautiously, pinkies touching softly until we get to our respective classes.

3rd person POV:
Alex walks into law and takes his usual spot in the back of the classroom, so Washington can't spy on him as much. He sees Andre walking towards him and involuntary tenses up. James Madison also notices Andre walking towards Alex and stands up, rushing toward the empty spot next to the small boy.
Alexander lets out a relieved breath and looks at Andre waking away with a scowl on his face. He turns his head to face Madison with a smile, pretending that his heart didn't just stop when he saw the blonde teen.
"Hi James." He says, picking up his pencil. Madison smiles softly to himself, pleased that he kept Andre away from Alex. Thomas has been noticing how jumpy Hamilton gets around his other roommate, and how he always questions where Andre is. The Virginian is starting to get pretty worried about his friend, and often updates James on the dorm drama.
"Hello," James hums, looking at the board to see what Washington is teaching today. Just some practice of state law. Boring. He looks back at Alex. "How are you and John?" Alex glances up from where they were glued to his paper.
"We're good! Our one year is coming up in about three months or so!" He replies excitedly, smiling at the thought of his first anniversary ever. "Aww, that's cute. You two are my favorite couple here, don't tell laf and my cousin." James gushes, giggling softly.
Alex grins at him and giggles. "Thanks. How're Thomas and you doing?" He asks, repeating James's question. Madison sighs happily. "We're great. I've just- I've liked Thomas for so long and now we're finally together-...it's great! It feels like a dream, honestly. I mean he's perfect! He has great hair, a dramatic yet weirdly fitting magenta obsession, he's handsome, and god his personality is amazing." He rants, giggling like a schoolgirl talking about her crush.
Alex cuts him off with a stifled laugh. James gives him a look, cocking an eyebrow. "Sorry it's just- Thomas, having an amazing personality? Hilarious." He chuckles at his own joke, which turns into giggling, which turns into Washington telling him to pipe down. James rolls his eyes lovingly, a smile playing at his lips.
"Joke all you want but deep down I know you think of him as a friend, as he does you." He remarks, pointing a small finger accusingly. Hamilton puts his hands up in defense, smiling softly. He drops them after a moment. "Yeah, I guess you're right. He has been a pretty good roommate. He's not as annoying as I convince myself he is."
"Aww, that's so sweet. Can't wait to show Thomas, good thing I got it on video!"
"Wait, what-"
