Previously on Chapter 7

I don't want to let myself get consumed up by the malevolence. If anything... I want to clear the world from those kind of things. I have to train hard. I'll be the strongest Seraph, just like my mother.

Y/N P.O.V

I lower my hand as I let the bow disappear. I place my hands on my knees, while breathing heavily. I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn my head to see Nee-San.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" She asked. I just smile and nod my head at what he said. "I'm okay, Nee-San. I can still go on" I said. I move to stand straight. I lift my hand and focus on summoning my bow.

I struggle to stand straight as I try to focus. I point my bow at a certain direction. I pull the string, letting an arrow appear. My whole body starts shaking as I feel tired.

"Y/N... that's enough. You need to rest" Mikleo said. I shake my head at what he said. "I have to do this. I have to be stronger. I don't want those monsters to control me" I said. I shoot the arrow and falls on my knees.

"It's not enough... one more" I said. I try to stand up, but Nee-San holds my shoulder. I place my hand on top of her hands, trying to move it away from my shoulder.

"No, Y/N-San... that's enough" Lailah said. Sorey nods his head in agreement. "You need to take some rest for a bit" he said, kneeling down in front of me. Mikleo nods his head, agreeing with him. They all looks worried at me.

I let out a sigh and nod my head. They wouldn't let me continue even if I fight for it. Nee-San helps me stands up. I stumble a little. Mikleo rushes towards me and catches me before I fall over.

"Thank you, Mikleo..." I said, smiling softly at him. He smiles softly and nod. He slowly let my me go, but still keep an arm-length as if making sure I can stand properly. I smile reassuringly at him, letting him know that I'm okay.

"Can you walk?" Sorey asked. I turn to look at him and nod my head. He nods his head. "Go on and take some rest, okay?" He said. I just nod my head lightly at what he said.

"I'll walk you... if that's okay? I just to make sure you're really okay" Mikleo said. I turn my head to look at him and smile. "Thank you, Mikleo" I said. He smiles softly at me. I turn around and starts to walk with Mikleo following next to me.

I finally reach my room after a while of walking. I turn around to face Mikleo. "Thank you, Mikleo... I'm okay" I said. He smiles and nods his head.

"Rest well, Y/N..." he said. I nod my head as a thank you. He turn around and walks away. I turn around and reach out to hold the door knob. Suddenly, my whole body suddenly feels weak as my vision starts to get blurry. I place my free hand on my head as I feel a little dizzy. I fall on my knees with a loud thud, with my hand still holding the knob.

"Y/N!" Mikleo yelled out. I turn my head to see he's still here. He rushes towards me and kneels down next to me. He opens the door to my room. He turn to me and gently picks me up in his arms. He rush to my bed, gently laying me down on my bed.

He kneels down next to my bed. He gently place a hand on my forehead. "You're having a fever, Y/N. We told you that you should stop. But you didn't listen to any of us. Now look what happened..." he said, scolding me. I smile apologetically at him. He let out s sigh and stand up.

"I'll let Sorey know so he can tell your sister..." he said. He turns around and was about to walk away. I gently grab his hand. He stops in his track and turn to look at me.

"Can't you keep me company?" I asked. He stares at me with a surprised gaze. "You need medical care, Y/N... I won't take long, okay?" He said. I just nod my head. He smiles softly at me. He turn around and walks out of my room.

A While Later

Mikleo comes back with Nee-San, Sorey and Lailah. Nee-San rushes over to my side. She take a seat on the edge of the bed, holding my hand in one hand. She gently place a free hand on my forehead. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stares at me in worry.

"She do have a fever..." she said, turning to look at Sorey. Sorey turn to look at Mikleo. "You're a water Seraph. Why don't you try to bring her fever down" he said. Mikleo nods his head and walks over to me. He stands next to Nee-San, but close enough to me. He gently place his hand on my forehead. I can feel a cool sensation from his hand.

"I'll go and bring some soup for you, okay?" Nee-San said. I just nod my head. She turns to look at Sorey. "I'll leave her to you, Sorey. Mikleo-San and Lady-Lake" she said. Mikleo and Lailah nods their heads. Sorey turn to look at Nee-San.

"We'll look after her..." he said. Nee-San smiles and turn to look at me. She leans down. Mikleo moves his hand, letting Nee-San places a soft kiss on my forehead.

Mikleo places his hand on my forehead again. Nee-San stands up and turns around. "I'll be back soon, okay?" She said. I just nod my head. She smiles and turn around to walk away. Mikleo takes her place and sits down next to me.

"You pushed yourself too hard, Y/N-San..." Lailah said. I turn to look at her. "I'm sorry... I guess, I just got scared. When you told me that there are evils that will be coming for my life. So, I pushed myself beyond my limit..." I said. Mikleo's hand which is still on my forehead moves a little as he gently caress my skin. I turn my head to look at him. He smiles softly at me.

"I'm telling you, Y/N. You're not alone in this battle. I'll protect you... we all will..." he said. I just smile gratefully at what he said. I just smile softly at him.

Nee-San enters the room again, holding a tray in her hands. Mikleo helps me sits up so I can eat, gently adjusting the pillow so I can lean my back against it. Nee-San places the tray on a small table and place it on my lap.

I slowly eat the food. "Hot..." I gasped out, fanning my mouth. Nee-San let out a chuckle at my action. "Of course... it's freshly cooked. What so you expect, Y/N?" She said. I just smile sheepishly at her, while rubbing my neck. I scoop up some more and gently blow on it. Once I made sure it's cooled enough, I take a light sip.

After I'm done eating the food. Nee-San hands me a medicine. I grab the glass of water and swallow the pill. I take a couple of sips from the glass, to help me push down the pill down my system.

"Okay... you've eaten and taken your medicine. Now you just need to rest. Let's go, everyone..." Nee-San said. Mikleo is about to stand up, but I gently grab his hand. He turns to look at me. He turns to look at the Sorey. Sorey nods his head.

"Seems like Y/N wanted Mikleo to stay..." he said. Nee-San turn to look at me. I nod my head. She let out a sigh and smiles at me. "I'll leave her to you, Mikleo-San..." she said, staring at the spot where Mikleo is.

"I'll take care of her..." Mikleo said. Sorey smiles at what his friend said. "He said he'll take care of her" he said. Nee-San nods her head and turns around. Nee-San, Sorey and Lailah leaves my room.

Mikleo take a seat on the bed next to me, resting his back against the headboard. He places a hand on my forehead and keep using his water element to help bring down my fever. I scoot closer to him and close my eyes.

Mikleo P.O.V

Y/N slowly drift off to sleep. I watch as she sleeps. She looks so calm and peaceful. I smile softly as I slowly remove my hand from her forehead. I reach over and gently tug the blanket, covering her body and stopping just below her neck.

"Thank you..." she whispered softly. I feel a smile forming on my lips. I feel warmth in my chest as I stay close with Y/N. Why do I feel this way towards her? Am I... in love?
