5. It's Not Over Till I Say It's Over

So sorry for the slow update but here's one now to make up for it. I'm going to double update.

After Kaiden had decided on what jacket he wanted to get, it was finally time for the three of them to pay.

Reminisce wanted to know exactly how much money they had on them and Josiah had told them 300 euros.

Which was a lot, but for wealthy people like them, most of them anyway, not so much.

There was this gender neutral silver jacket with stars on them that Reminisce had liked, and Kaiden had seemed to like it too it seemed - as both him and Reminisce had him were talking about it together.

The 300 euros were actually Josiah's, and they needed to pay him back especially if they wanted to use his money in the first place.

"You guys know that there are no refunds here right?" Josiah had reminded him as they were going to the till. "So if you want this then you have to make sure that you want it, because there's no going back."

Kaiden had understood that, nodding, although he didn't really say anything else.

It had seemed as though there was a bit of a fuss at the till though, with this teenage kid just slightly older than the three of them arguing with the shopkeeper over something.

There was only one shopkeeper at the moment, the rest of them were either on holiday, on break, or were working upstairs.

By his name tag, he had gone by the name of Romario, with the kid in an all red Adidas tracksuit pointing a gun at him and Romario surrendering.

Josiah, Reminisce and Kaiden didn't see the gun, although they did hear everything.

Why?! Why the damn hell did you rip me off?!

I'm sorry, Jahking. I didn't know- Romario had panicked, putting both of his hands straight back up when Jahking had pointed it closer to him when he had put it down. Please don't shoot me! I'm turning 60 in a few days' time!

All three of them wanted to know what was going on, although there was no way Kaiden was leaving the place without the jacket.

"Are you crazy? We're going to get killed!" Reminisce had whispered.

"Romario clearly needs help," Josiah had muttered back, all three of them were hiding behind some clothes rack next to the till- so as to not make it obvious that they were eavesdropping.

What do you mean you didn't know? You're saying that you "accidentally" made me pay you more than I should have done? That's a terrible excuse!

None of them had known what was going on with Jahking and Romario at the moment, with Josiah suggesting that he had found out.

Kaiden and Reminisce were against this because he was the strongest person on their team. They couldn't risk something serious happening to him, or even worse - him being killed.

Ignoring them completely, Josiah had gone to them, wanting to know what was going on.

"Oh I'll tell you what's going on," Jahking had yelled infuriatingly, not even caring that Josiah had interrupted something seemingly important. "You see the shoes I'm wearing right now?"

He was wearing all an red Adidas tracksuit, with these shoes:

"Yeah, what about 'em?"

"This fraud over here-" he had pointed at Romario unexpectedly, though didn't shoot, with Romario freaking out again. "made me pay 150 euros for them, as they're pretty rare to get. But then I found them online for 70 euros. I couldn't return them though, there's a no refunds policy here. Long story short... This idiot here is making us pay more money than what the original thing is worth."

Explained why Kaiden's jacket was so expensive.

And probably why everything was non refundable as well, come to think of it.

The silver leather jacket with matching stars on it that Kaiden wanted to get right now should have at least been 70 euros, if not even 80 ish- not 100.

"I'm sure we can sort this out," Kaiden had announced from his hiding place, with Reminisce coming with him after Josiah had winked at them that everything was okay.

"Shooting him isn't the answer though. He's the owner of the place for starters, plus you'll just get arrested. Do you really want that for yourself?" Reminisce had continued, folding her arms.

Romario had offered Jahking anything free as long as he had kept this a secret, with Jahking not saying anything to that.

He didn't want anything free, he wanted a refund for the shoes he was currently wearing though this seemed more promising.

Not replying, Jahking had looked at Romario, then at the three kids.

"How many things free?"

"One."

"Three."

"Two, and that's my final offer," Romario had deadpanned, with Jahking not replying at first, then he had agreed.

The first thing he wanted free was this super expensive watch that was made of real good and diamonds.

The four of them had watched him as he had walked around the shop for it for about three minutes or so, then he had come back again.

When he had put that on the till, Romario wanted to know what was the second and last thing in which he wanted for free.

Jahking didn't know, it had seemed that everything good in this church was either upstairs, which he couldn't have been bothered to go to, or someone else had bought them earlier.

His eyes had wandered for a pretty long time, that was until they had landed on the jacket that Kaiden was holding in his hands right now.

He pointed to it.

"I want that."

When the three of them had realised what he was pointing to, Kaiden had freaked out, and so did Reminisce.

"What? No! I had this first. Plus it's the last one. Not just in my size. In general."

Josiah, Reminisce and Kaiden had freaked out a bit when he had pointed the gun at Kaiden, once again not shooting.

"Give it to me, else I'll kill you and I mean it."

Looking at Reminisce and Josiah on either side of him for reassurance, the two of them didn't know what to say.

"Dude, you can't just do that, Kaiden clearly had it first."

"Oh, so you want me to kill you instead?" He had pointed it at her instead.

This wasn't fair, but life generally wasn't.

Sighing, Josiah had told Kaiden that he should have given Jahking the jacket at it truly seemed as though he wasn't taking no for an answer.

And this thing clearly wasn't over until Jahking had said it was over.

"What? No, I clearly had it first. And there's nothing good here that's my size except this. No offence Romario."

"Just give it to him, the induction for the school is about to start, I'm sure we can find something else even better for you."

Kaiden had kept on arguing against this, with Jahking just looking at him, not shooting.

When he was about to and Reminisce had realised this, she had screamed, telling the boys to shut up after about five minutes before giving the jacket to him.

His work here was done, he wasn't going to tell anyone that he was a fraud and he meant it.

"How do we know you're going to keep that promise though?" Romario wanted to know, with Jahking just saying that he was good at keeping secrets.

He seemed genuine about this though, regardless of everything they had just went through.

Before he had left the shop, he had given Romario the I'm watching you signal then he headed out.

Feeling sympathetic over the kids due to what had just happened, he had told them that they too could have had three things each for 70% off.

He would have made it free too however he seriously needed the money, plus Jahking could have ended his life. They couldn't.

After a few minutes, Kaiden had found a jacket even better than the one Riele had given Jahking, with the three of them kind of splurging before they left the shop.

In the meantime, Savannah was ticked off.

Khalifa was still with his ex criminal girlfriend Stefani and he hadn't come back.

She had no one to talk to because none of them were picking up their messages and it had been twenty seven minutes now.

Come on, where are y'all?! She had questioned them, walking around in circles, texting and calling them respectively.

Her texts had included but weren't limited to...

Are you guys okay?

Where are you?!

Guys, I need help!

Guys!!!! Y'all alive?!

They had set up a group chat earlier on today, after Reminisce's request, on the way here.

Just as Savannah was about to call Josiah as she knew he was the most active on his phone, he had texted her that they were coming and there they were.

"About time y'all showed up!" She had complained, then she paused as she realised something. "Hang on, I thought only Kaiden was buying something."

"We changed our minds," Reminisce didn't want to tell her what happened. "Anyway, we need to go."

Savannah didn't say anything and for a while Josiah, Reminisce and Kaiden didn't know that Khalifa had been missing.

Kaiden was the one to know this, asking Savannah where he was.

That was another problem. He wasn't there.

"Uhm..."

Looking at her, fed up, they had all frowned at her, and then she sighed after staring at them for too long.

"I think we should have a private conversation about where he is."

So they did.

But they weren't very happy.

At all.
