25. Until We See What This Could Be, Results Could Be Tragic

⬆️Arica Himmel as Zipporah

Almost after Khalifa had just revealed that he wanted to break up with Stefani. Josiah had interfered.

"Whoa, bro. Are you sure? You don't have to do it."

"I can't stand her anymore, J," Khalifa had replied almost immediately. "I'm tired of this façade. And I couldn't stand her for a long time. I was just reluctant to leave her because I knew how she would take it."

As Kaiden and Savannah had tried to convince Tatiana to help them find out more about Darius and Lilibet - Josiah and Reminisce had done the exact same thing with Khalifa.

Stefani wasn't here at the moment because she wanted to buy a snack for Khalifa.

She had just come back after talking to her cousin DaSanté, absolutely horrified that Josiah and Reminisce were there.

"What are these two idiots doing here?!"

"They're not idiots," Khalifa had deadpanned. "They're my friends. And one of them is family so you better watch who you're talking to."

Khalifa was very protective when it had come to Reminisce, especially how she was his only sibling, for now maybe. He didn't know what the future could have held.

If anyone had done anything to hurt her, and if anyone had done anything to hurt Khalifa - the two of them would have backed each other up. The two of them weren't just twins but were ride or dies at the same time.

Josiah and Reminisce had smiled as Khalifa had backed them up.

Stefani didn't seem happy and she wasn't. She didn't want Khalifa to talk to them ever again since they had messed with their relationship two times.

"You said you were never going to speak to them!"

"No, you told him never to speak to us," Reminisce had interfered, resting on her brother's arm. "And now Khalifa is done with you. He wants to break up with you. Bye bye!"

When she had said bye bye, she had waved at her, although Stefani wanted to hear from Khalifa himself that he wanted to break up with her.

She had looked at him for a while, and he had done the same thing with her.

"This can't be true. It's either me or them. I have put up with you for 9 months!"

"Yeah? Josiah had put up with me for 5 years, and Reminisce my whole life. 9 months is almost nothing," Khalifa grinned.

He had said almost because it kind of was something. Just not that much compared to 5 years and 18 years respectively.

"But yes, I do want to break up with you. You're nothing but a liability."

That felt so good to say, with Josiah, Reminisce and Khalifa high fiving each other afterwards.

An annoyed Stefani had swore at him, saying that it was his loss. She had even almost dumped his snacks on him, but Khalifa had managed to dodge it just in time.

Her true colours were probably going to show anytime soon, which was what Khalifa secretly couldn't have waited for.

He knew people's true colours had shown eventually - especially if someone was no longer in his life for one reason or the other.

After everything I've done for you and this is how you treat me.

I hope karma comes back to bite you like you deserve. I would bite you myself but violence is never the answer.

That was a lot coming from her: she was an ex criminal. If Stefani had really thought that violence was never the answer, then she wouldn't even have had criminal history in the first place.

She had left, talking badly about him with Josiah and Reminisce cheering.

"How do you feel now that you did that?" Reminisce beamed.

"If it wasn't for you two, I wouldn't even have realised that I needed to break up with her. I'd probably 'mourn' over her later but for now, I feel pretty relieved."

Savannah and Kaiden had told Josiah and Reminisce via phone that they should have had their meeting in an hour because that was when Tatiana was free.

Josiah had just informed Khalifa about that.

"So are you in, in terms of finding out what happened between Darius and Lilibet?" Josiah wanted to know, hoping and praying he did.

"Of course. But since we got an hour, I'd say we should hang out again, for old times' sake."

They had finished their bowling session and after that, they had left. They had gone shopping and many other places, overall having a good time.

-----

"What do you mean we have another sister?"

"That's what I figured out, after reading in between the lines," Sotiria had told Zipporah in Sotiria's room:

Zipporah wanted to know what Darius had told Sotiria before Kesiena had found out about Lilibet.

"See, dad told me that he was upset because he had regretted expelling this girl called Savannah Parker, right?" Sotiria had explained, sitting down next to Zipporah on the bed.

"Then he had said that technically, she would have been our sister. Because her mother was dad's ex wife. But he didn't tell me why they had divorced each other in the first place. I think he's telling mum now but I'm not sure."

"And what do you want to do with this information?"

At first, Sotiria didn't want to do anything with that information.

But the more she had thought about it, the more she wondered what Savannah Parker had looked like and who she really was.

"You want to find out who she is?!" Zipporah had echoed, not looking very happy."Isn't that kind of stalking?"

"Not exactly. Like I said, she's supposed to be family."

The only problem was the fact that Savannah probably didn't know who they were.

Or maybe she didn't want to talk to them. It would have been if it was both combined though.

Not saying anything after that, Sotiria had opened her laptop, and she had gone on Instagram.

Savannah had seemed like the kind of person to use Instagram, and she did. Sotiria was initially going to check Facebook, but not many people her age had done so.

"You're actually doing this."

"Zipporah, do you want to know who our potential sister is or not?"

Zipporah didn't reply, with Sotiria swiftly typing Savannah Parker on the Instagram search box.

Too many results came up.

"How are we supposed to know what she looks like? You need more than just her name. It's too common. You might need her middle name."

Her name was more common that Sotiria had thought. If only she had a name like hers or Zipporah's - then maybe things would have geek easier.

At the same time... Sotiria wasn't complaining. It wasn't like her name was extremely common, like Emily or Chloe something. They would have been here for ages, if not centuries had that been the case.

Realising that her sister was right, Sotiria had remained silent, becoming unhappy.

It was either she had gone through her dad's files to find her name - or she had indirectly brought Savannah up.

She definitely wasn't doing the first one. That had seemed like too much work and she didn't want to get into any trouble than she kind of was us for not letting Darius talk to Kesiena privately.

It had looked like the second option was the best one, and it was. Telling Zipporah to stay in her room, Sotiria had left.

Thankfully she didn't actually have to ask Darius about Savannah. Darius and Kesiena were talking about her anyway.

Kesiena: Thank you again for telling me this, baby. I really appreciate it. I can see why you didn't tell me. I don't blame you, in a way.

Darius: Kesiena, you know I didn't mean any harm. I would never hurt you in away way and I'm sorry if it didn't seem that way.

Kesiena: You said earlier that the girl you expelled is the daughter of Lilibet, right? What's her name and what does she look like?

Darius: Savannah Michelle Parker. I know her middle name because I'm her teacher and I have a record of everyone I teach. I can't remember fully what she looks like but she's brown skinned and she currently has black and turquoise braids. Her braids are very noticeable.

Mentally noting that down from up the stairs, Sotiria had grinned to herself, cheering silently.

She had come back in the blink of an eye, with Zipporah being rather astonished as to how quickly she had gotten the information.

"Turns out that I didn't need to get it. Mum and Dad were talking about her anyway. Lucky coincidence."

Then she had explained to her sister what her full name was and what she had looked like as well.

"I don't mean to be a Debbie downer in any way but do you really think this is going to work?"

"Until we see what this could be, results could be tragic."

All that meant was until they had found out, they could have had some bad results.

Zipporah had thought that even after they had found out, they could have had some bad results anyway, albeit she had kept that to herself.

It had taken a while to find what she could have looked like but they had gotten there eventually. Savannah's Instagram name was happilysavvy, but her profile was private.

They knew it was her because her name was Savannah Michelle Parker, and only three results came up.

One was of a white Middle Aged woman, one a light skinned teenager with braids and another one whose picture was of a flower.

Or a chrysanthemum more specifically, which didn't help much as they could literally have been anyone.

Sotiria's laptop was lagging so she had sent her a follow request on her phone. Until she had realised that her phone was about to die, therefore persuading Zipporah to do everything for her instead.

Zipporah's name was moseswife because Zipporah was Moses' wife in the Bible. Also her name was somehow taken already.

"Sent her a follow request?"

She did, yes. Reluctantly though, she couldn't lie.

"Has she replied?"

"No, and calm down. I only did it just a few seconds ago. No one said that she was actually online when we had done all this."

Hopefully she was active, because if she wasn't then they wouldn't have known how else to find her. Sotiria and Zipporah had only used Instagram.

Minus WhatsApp, Darius and Kesiena had only limited them to one social media because when they had a lot, they had gotten too addicted, therefore neglecting their school work.

It was either they had deleted their accounts or they had uninstalled the app until summer or until the next school break. So Instagram was all they had.

It had taken a while for them to hear from Savannah, wishing that she had accepted Zipporah's request to follow her.

She had seen it eventually, and that was another situation.

I was even going to do a fake Instagram profile of Savannah's account but that took too long. Oh well - see you angels next time

Hope you enjoyed the chapter 💕
