Vocabulary:

Potential Soulmate- Someone who is not yet of age to receive their soulmark. This person may or may not be the soulmate to a person who suspects they have a potential soulmate.

The next few days will be intense for the boys as the Golden Disc Awards begin tomorrow. A hectic schedule of rehearsals and last-minute costume fittings is keeping them busy. Their outfits for the event are on the agenda as well. Since they were going to perform 5 songs the day after tomorrow, they practised for most of the next 2 days until they perfected their already perfect choreography. Their lunch and dinner are delivered to the studio and at around midnight they leave the studio. When they arrive at their apartment, they are too exhausted to do anything but go to bed. On the second day of the event that all the artists attend, BTS gets up at 9 am and does their morning routine, while at 10 am their manager Sejin arrives with 7 iced Americanos and 1 Caffè mocha and drives them to the BigHit building where they have breakfast and then they get changed into their outfits, before getting their hair and makeup done.

Jungkook's Point Of View...

Before we leave Korea for a month-long filming and rehearsal schedule in America, I wanted to meet two of my friends since I won't have time since we (BTS) will be touring most of the year, and Friday is the only day that all three of us are free.

I exit the van in a secluded area and stroll around a bit before entering the restaurant. When I tell the host of the restaurant the name under which the reservation is made, he leads me to a secluded part of the restaurant away from the public eye. From this spot, I can see the entirety of the restaurant. Yugyeom and BamBam were already at the reserved table when I arrived.

"Jungkook-ah, it is nice to meet you," Yugyeom says to me.

"Hey, dude, how you doing?" BamBam asks with great enthusiasm.

The guys greet me with a bro handshake. "Nice to meet you too..." I say.

After settling myself, I examine the menu that has been placed in front of me. As soon as the waiter comes to take our orders, I ordered a carbonara and a Fiorentina steak, BamBam orders butternut squash ravioli with pancetta and sage, and Yugyeom orders shrimp scampi with pasta. For each of our dishes, we order a pairing of wine that will complement it. We talked for a little bit while waiting for our food, and I told them a little bit about the aeroplane incident, and they were stunned.

"So was she an ARMY?" Yugyeom asks.

"No, she was not an ARMY, she didn't recognise us until Sejin Hyung found her and took her to the VIP lounge. She only recognised my name because her brother is an ARMY." I clarify to them.

"Wow, that is cool and thank god that whatever happened did not trend online otherwise some fans would have demanded proof of her employment in BigHit," BamBam says.

"Hmm, but, ARMY's don't treat us that way, they respect personal time. It is understandable to ask for a selca with your favourite celebrity, but the stupid rule of no selcas with fans is what's getting on my nerves." I let go of my frustration about this stupid rule.

Randomly, I turn my head and see four girls laughing as they enter a restaurant. I divert my gaze back to my friends until I take a glance back at the girls and I recognise one of the girls to be Naira-ssi from the aeroplane, while still paying attention to my friends my eyes discreetly follows her movements soon I am interrupted by the waiter as he places our wine glasses in front of us, then opening the bottles and pouring each of us a glass and leaves. While sipping my wine, I take a few glances at her before trying to distract myself.

"I see someone caught your attention for you to be stealing glances of every few seconds." Yugyeom teases me as he catches me peeking at Naira-ssi. The gazes of Yugyeom and BamBam are following mine.

"Now who caught your attention, the Korean girls or the international girls?" BamBam asks.

"I wasn't..." I take a sip of my wine, gulping it down as I attempt to feign ignorance of the situation until Yugyeom interrupted me.

"Sure, who is it and what's the deal?" Yugyeom asks.

"You know you can't lie to us because A you are so flustered at the moment and B THE Joen Jungkook I know won't randomly check out girls in the open," BamBam adds.

"Okay you caught me, I am looking at one of the international girls the Indian one to be more precise. She was the one who saved me and the hyungs on the aeroplane." I explain.

"Oh by the way she is really pretty." Yugyeom and BamBam says.

"Anyway..." Before I could continue our food arrived and the waiter places it in front of us and refills our wine glasses then he leaves. we start eating and talking about life in general skipping the previous topic of the girl who is enjoying her time with her friends. We finished eating and ask the waiter for the bill.

"Here you go, sir," he says as he places the bill on the table.

"Can you bring me the bill for that table as well please?" I ask.

"Okay, sir." The waiter agrees and brings me their bill.

We split our bill based on who ordered what and I pay for Naira-ssi's bill as well. Yugyeom and BamBam look at me stunned.

"What?" I ask.

"You like her don't you?" Yugyeom asks.

"What! No, I am just thankful that is all. Stop with the questions it feels like I am being interrogated." I tell them and they leave the matter alone. We were so caught up in the conversation that I failed to notice someone come up to us and stand right next to me until they spoke.

"Hi, I am sorry to disturb you guys but can I have a word with this gentleman here." She asks and her finger pointing at me, I look up stunned to see who is standing in front of me. I notice that she is equally as stunned to see me.

"Jungkook-ssi" She utters in confusion.

"Naira-ssi... BamBam, Yugyeom sorry but I will speak to you guys later, excuse us." I say as I stand up.

" Wait you guys don't have to leave, it will take a few minutes and I do not want to ruin your night out." She says.

"It is okay we were all about to leave when you came here so don't worry you are not ruining anything." Yugyeom answer.

"Yeah anyway hope we can meet again soon," BamBam says.

"With the new album coming out and the upcoming world tour, our schedules will be packed. Hopefully soon though." I state.

Both Yugyeom and BamBam said their goodbyes to Naira-ssi and I then left.

"Where would you like to go to talk?" I ask her.

"Anywhere you like, it will only take 5 minutes so..." she replies.

"Let us go to a café it is a few minutes from here we can talk there," I suggest.

"Hmm... okay but are you sure, it won't be long I promise." She explains.

"It is okay honestly. I have to be back at the dorm in 30 minutes, so why not go for a little stroll around here. Don't worry it is dark so no one will know who I am." I try to convince her.

"Okay, let me tell my friends first." She says agreeing to come with me.

"Sure I will wait here for you and uhm... just don't tell them who I am," I tell her.

"I won't." She says in reassurance.

Shortly after, she returned to where I was and now we were walking through the streets of Itaewon, looking at couples holding hands as they walked by, and a group of friends hanging out without anyone's attention. Everyone was free and there was no hiding. Wow, I wish I had that I look at the girl walking beside me admiring how her eyes are twinkling from the reflection of the lights on the street, her eyes marvelling at what is around her. I smile and put my head down burying whatever is surfacing before knowing what it is. Her shivering figure drew my attention to her and I realized she was cold.

"Let's go for coffee it will warm you up, there is a café here." i offer.

"Sure, that sounds good." she takes up the offer.

I lead her to the café and before i could reach the cashier she is there.

"Good evening welcome what would you like to have this evening." The cashier greets.

" good evening, can i get one Hot chocolate and..." Naira-ssi speaks to the cashier and then stops to look at me as if silently asking what i would like to drink.

To which I answer with " a caramel macchiato please."

"and one caramel macchiato please," she says politely.

"That will be 11,253.4 won." the cashier says.

My hand reaches into my pocket to pull out my wallet and when Naria-ssi notices my action, she holds my wrist in place, preventing me from pulling my hand out of my pocket. She continues to hold my wrist and takes her card out of her handbag and pays for our drinks. During this process, I could not help but hear ringing in my ears and the sensation of electricity between our hands forcing me to tug on her hand, only for her to hold on to it tighter, causing my heart to beat wildly. It is only after she releases my hand that I realize what she is saying.

"It is only fair that i pay for our drinks as you pad for my dinner," she tells me as I stare blankly at her.

"Let's go sit down there." She points to the back corner of the café.

I nod my head and walk in the direction she pointed at. We sit down and she asks "Why did you pay for my dinner tonight?"

"As a way to say thank you for helping us out last week," I explain.

As the conversation progresses, she asks about all the Thank You gifts she received throughout the week and I explain everything to her. Our conversation ends, and a comforting silence fills the space as we continue to sip our drinks. While waiting for her taxi, I bear all the compliments she has thrown at me. Then she realizes out loud that she had said them out loud too, and a soft pink blush brushes her cheeks as she is embarrassed. After saying our goodbyes, we return to the van and sit inside while remembering the moment her fingers were wrapped around my wrist. That tingling sensation filled up my insides making me feel comforted and warm. Also, I heard a chime ringing in my ears. It was a feeling I was trying to push away. Are we soulmates? Or are we potential soulmates? No way Jungkook stop imagining things she probably didn't feel anything and it is just your soul yearning for the bond of a soulmate nothing more.

I am broken from my thoughts as the van stops and Sejin hyung turns around and tells me that we are at the dorm i thank him and exit the van entering the elevator that leads to the penthouse itself. I then enter the passcode at the front door and enter the dorm. I inform the hyungs about everything except meeting Naira-ssi. Why? I have no idea. Everyone went to their rooms shortly after that and I followed suit.

Naira's Point Of View...

I wake up the following morning, have a shower, follow my 2 step skincare routine, and then get dressed in a black and white striped shirt layered over an oversized grey sweater, followed by my black pants and an oversized denim jacket. As soon as I finish my morning cup of Rooibos tea and 3 biscuits/cookies, I put my accessories and socks on, and then I make up with black eyeliner and a natural lip tint.

Today I am planning on going to buy set books for the year at the bookstore on campus, I have to buy a padded jacket and then go to some exploring to know how to make my way around Seoul.

I leave the safety of my dorm after putting on my white shoes.

The closest clothing store is about a 10-minute drive away. I purchase a long black padded jacket from Zara and return to campus. Upon reaching campus, I stop at a convenience store to buy snacks before going to the book store to buy books for the year. it came to a lot but luckily it is part of the scholarship and I am not paying a cent.

All the students around me are looking at me strangely as I walk back to my dorm. I am not even sure what is going on, as this did not happen on my first day. In a moment, I'm suddenly pushed and I trip over a stone, tumbling face-down on the ground. One of the people then grabs my hair, forcing me to look up at them.

I shriek, "Ahh!". The grip on my hair is tight and my head is forced to turn.

"Oh, so you are Jungkook-ie's girlfriend. You are the same girl who pretended to be part of their staff. Lying bitch." she stated.

"What the hell are you talking about and could you leave am hair!" Why is she getting so agitated? I am completely baffled. I grab her hand and try to free myself.

"I am talking about the little fucking date you had yesterday with Jungkook-ie at the café you dumb bitch." she kicks me in the stomach i cough and tears start forming in my eyes.

"Huh, who knew Jungkook-ie was into ugly dark-skinned things like you," another girl snickers in the crowd that now is formed around me.

"Looking at her body she is probably just sleeping with him or something, why would someone as handsome as Jungkook even consider being in a relationship with a cockroach." the first girl says as she forcefully squishes my cheeks so hard that it probably will leave a bruise.

In frustration, I grab her hand and twist it away from me, pushing her away.

"ENOUGH! Who do you think you are? How dare you touch me? I have done nothing to you and would you mind what you say to me because i will sue you for defamation of character and assault. Now get out of my way." I tell the girl who assaulted me. After grabbing my belongings, I head to my dorm room.

i feel something hard hit me from leaving a painful sting on my back and eggs are thrown from above me hitting my head, I slip on the residue of the egg as I run into the building causing me to fall. My attackers have been throwing stones at me. I try hiding by curling up but it is of no use because the same two girls continuously kick me, all I could do was stare mindlessly in fear, paralyzed by terror and incapable of reacting. As tears fall from my eyes down to the ground, I realize in my half-conscious state that this is being recorded.

I must be strong. Don't let these girls break you, Naira. Come on, wake up. Whatever happens, I will not give in.

I muster up every ounce of strength in me to stand up only for all the students to scatter as security guards come running along with 2 of my dorm mates Jiah and Eunhyung. Jiah reaches me first and before she could say anything my vision went fuzzy and then all black. The next moment when I open my eyes I am in the with Jiah sitting next to me and a guy standing outside my door talking to a doctor. My throat is dry and i am still feeling light-headed as i try to speak.

"Unnie how long was I out for and what happened?" i ask with my voice being hoarse and raspy.

"You were out for about an hour. You fainted after the incident and while Eunhyung and I were trying to carry you into a taxi to take you to a hospital, but an ambulance was already there and a staff member sent by BigHit. he is talking to the Doctor at the moment." She explains exhaustedly.

"Okay. Unnie are you alright?" I ask.

"Those girls live-streamed the entire incident I was terrified when i saw it, I came running from the library and told a few guards on my way they called for back up. But i was so scared for you. Let me tell you all the ARMY's, especially the international, are supporting you here read the comments. The nasty comments are from Jungkook solo stans." she tells me while passing me her phone to read the comment.

There were mixed comments in support of my others were of people calling me names. Before i could look through more comments i am disturbed by a knock on the door and Jiah unnie goes and opens it.

"Naira-ssi I am glad to see that you are awake. Jiah-ssi will you please get a set of clothes for Naira-ssi and meet us at this address." A man who is wearing a facemask says and he gives Jiah unnie an address.

"Alright, sir. Naira i will see you soon." Jiah Unnie bows and leaves.

once the door is closed the man takes off his facemask.

"Sejin-ssi?" I ask in confusion as i sit up on the hospital bed and attempt to bow.

'Don't worry about formalities Naira-ssi, I am so glad you are safe, Pd-nim instructed me to come and check up on you while the incident was being streamed, which is how I got there with the ambulance. Um... Pd-nim has instructed me to take you to the apartment building where most of the BigHit personnel reside for the next couple of days, where you should stay for your safety.' says Sejin-ssi.

"Honestly I am fine Sejin-ssi..." I am interrupted by the doctor who enters.

"Good evening Naira-ssi, I'm glad you're awake. I'm here to give you your medication instructions, please come back in on February 11 for a check-up." While the doctor removes the IV drip from my arm she talks a bit more telling me not to take too much stress and drink lots of water and a whole list of what I need to do to stay healthy. Afterwards, Sejin-ssi left and told me he would be waiting outside.

As Sejin-ssi puts his facemask back on before leaves and closes the door behind him, I change out of the hospital's clothes and into the clothes I wore for the day. I step outside the room and he leads me to a car and drives me to the apartment building.

Stepping out of the car I see my dormmates waiting at the entrance of the building once they notice me they run and help me even though I could manage on my own.

We enter the building taking a lift up to the third floor of the building. we walk down the corridor and stop at 306.

"This is where you will stay. Girls, please wait outside as I have to explain private things to Naira-ssi." Sejin-ssi tells the girls to which they agree on.

he punches in the passcode on the electronic keypad and the door unlocks allowing us to enter and the door closes behind us. we remove our shoes at the door and step into the room.

"Naira-ssi if you don't please give me your phone number so that it will make it easier for us to communicate," Sejin-ssi asks as he takes out his phone and hands it to me.

"Sure." i agree and take his phone to type my number in once done i return it to him.

"Ok so let's do a small tour and then the details afterwards." Sejin-ssi states to which i hum in agreement.

He explains where everything is.

"Naira-ssi the passcode is written down on a sticky note next to the intercom and please come to the office tomorrow as Pd-nim would like you to sign NDA's and things like that. i will take my leave now have a good night." Sejin-ssi says and leaves the apartment and i stand by the door and bow as he leaves...
