More royalty au

Florida usually comes to DC after his lessons/sneaking out with Louisiana so DC rarely sees him in new clothes

His father throws some big event and Florida sneaks out halfway through to see DC 

when he shows up DC has to stop and do a double take because for the first time Florida's in a fancy suit and his hair is neat (and visible)

They sit in the garden for a while, Florida being more careful than usual because his mom would kill him if he got his new suit dirty
At some point Florida takes a flower and tucks it behind DC's ear, telling him he looks amazing and that it's good to see him so calm (DC is very flustered after)

DC lives in a small house with his mother and sister

IDC tries her best to take care of him and provide for them

Their mother reassures them constantly that they don't need to work and that she can afford to take care of them but they both feel too guilty not to work

Florida loves giving DC gifts

DC feels bad accepting gifts from Florida because they always look so expensive

Florida can sing and paint

He knows how to dance because he has to at certain events

He teaches DC to dance at some point, really excited to dance with DC

occasionally DC will comment on a scene from a book he like or say somewhere he'd like to go and find a painting of it in his room a few days later

Florida offers to let him read any book in his family's library (he burns through all of them way too fast)
