Saphira? I call out for my dragon spirit. What is it, kid? She respond. The vibe that old man gives me... I feel like his hiding something... I said. Yeah... you are right, kid... you better be careful on this mission... she said. I got it... I said.

-Guarding Mission: Journey to the Land of Wave-

Y/N P.O.V

We are now gathered in front of the entrance gate. I have my f/c backpack strapped on my back. I'm the first to be here, along with the old man.

I lean my back against the wall of the gate as I keep eyeing him, which makes him looks a bit awkward. Something is definitely wrong with this guy. After a while he finally looks at me, although I can see him practically shaking.

"Kid... why do you keep staring at me??" He asks, trying to sound irritated. But we both now that he's actually feeling awkward towards me. "I know fully well that you're hiding something from us" I said, as I cross my arms across from my chest. "Better tell us now before it's too late... who knows what's going to happen during the mission..." I said. He visibly tense from what I said.

The others soon come. I notice how Mr. Tazuna looks a bit relax. You see that, right Saphira? I talk telepathically to my dragon spirit. Yeah... you're right... I'm sure he did hide something... she respond.

"Yeah! Alright!!" That snaps me out of my thought. I turn to see Naruto who is the one yelling out. "What are you so excited about, Naruto?" Sakura asks him. "This is the first time I ever leave the village! I'm a traveler now!" He said.

"You expect me to trust my life on him?? Hah! He's a joke!" I heard Mr. Tazuna said. Naruto got irritated as he try to advance at the bridge builder. I appear in front of him and hold him by the shoulders. "Move it, Y/N-Chan! Let me at him!!" He yells out, trying to push past me. "Calm down, Naruto... the more you respond... the more he will bother you..." I said. He relax a little. He points at the bridge builder. "Mind my word old man! One day I'm going to be the Hokage! And you will show some respect to me!" He said, with a lot of confidence.

The bridge builder scoff at what Naruto said. "The Hokage's are brave and wise... while you're brainless and puny... the day you become the Hokage will be the day I sprout some wings and fly" he said. This of course... enraged Naruto. I put him in a headlock to stop him from hurting the bridge builder.

I glare at the bridge builder. "Seriously... show some respect to the people who are going to guide you! If the Hokage didn't approve of your requests... you would've been dead on your own!" I said. He gulps and looks away from me. Probably because of my glare.

After everyone has gathered, we start leaving for our journey. I walk next to Sasuke. We rarely ever speaks to each other. But we kinda tolerate each other's presence. I don't mind him that much and the same goes with him.

As we walk, I notice a puddle on the ground. Hmm... that is really weird. Where's that puddle came from. It hasn't been raining for weeks... what about it Saphira? Is it a trap? I mean... I can sense some chakra coming from it... I asks. Keep watching your surrounding, Y/N... stay on guard she said. I got it... I respond. I reach into my hostler and grab a kunai. I wait until they start to attack.

Then out of no where, a ninja came out from the puddle... the chain wraps around Kakashi-Sensei, tearing him into pieces. Naruto looks horrified. But I stay alert. I grip the kunai tighter as I wait for the next attack.

They throw a claw chain towards me. I jump out of the way and throw 2 kunais at the chain, pining it to the tree. Then I kick them, knocking them out.

I try sensing the next attacker, which is aiming for the bridge builder... while another one is going after Naruto. "Sasuke! Protect Mr. Tazuna!" I scream at him. Then I appear in front of Naruto, who seems to froze up.

Then out of no where, Kakashi-Sensei appear and hold the attacker in head lock. "Hey..." he said. I let out a sigh. "Took you long enough, Sensei..." I said. He chuckles at me.

"Nice leadership, Y/N... Sasuke nice reflect. You too Sakura. Sorry Naruto... didn't think you'd freeze up like that..." Sensei said. I smile and place the kunai back into my hostler.

"Hey... you're not scared are you... scaredy cat..." I heard Sasuke said. Naruto looks enraged by what he said. I appear in front of him, before he could move too much.

He looks at me in confusion. I open my mouth to say something, but Kakashi-Sensei beat me to it. "You need to calm down Naruto... those Ninja have poison on their claw... moving too much would only spread it faster" Kakashi-Sensei said. His face looks paled. I turn to Sasuke who have a triumph look on his face and send him a glare. "Not funny, Uchiha... not funny..." I spat at him.

Sakura said that we need to go back to the village because of Naruto's wound. Naruto got upset and stab his wound as he say his pledge.

"Naruto... it's cool how you take out all the poison. But if you continue to bleed out like that... you'll be dead from blood loss" Kakashi-Sensei said. I sweat dropped when Naruto starts flailing around, saying how he's too young to die.

"Come here, Naruto... let me see your wound..." I said, grabbing his hand. I notice how his wound begins to close up. Must be the nine tailed fox that helps him.

"Um... y-you have a s-serious look on y-your face... is there something wrong?" I look up at him to see his face is really pale. I give him a close eye smile "you'll be fine, Naruto. It's no biggie..." I said, wrapping his hand in bandage.
