A/N: Yes, eight hundred and seventy eight years, if I’m not mistaken? I… I… I’M SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING T.T I’M SO SORRY. You can leave now if you want I understand that I'll be updating this story monthly... :'(
And I know all of you would’ve forgotten about this so here’s a small info from last chapter.
So, Yana and Nijimura went for holiday, of course, with the others. And then this one morning, Yana was shot and here she is. Oh don’t forget that Kuroko, Karuto and Yana have something planned.
Bullet. It travels in spiral. It pierces, it stays, it burns, it tears, it stuns and for sure, it hurts. The feeling of having a bullet inside you will be an unforgettable experience. What’s worst is having the bullet inside you and you’re still conscious. I wonder how Nijimura deals with all these killing and kidnapping stuffs. Isn’t it scary?
The hospital room is currently dark. The fan is spinning and my chest is throbbing after the operation of eliminating the bullet from my chest. I couldn’t sleep and all I think about is about the incident that morning at the beach when I was training with Kuroko. It was early, around 5am or so. Kuroko and I met at the beach for training. The breeze was strong and it was really cold. Nevertheless, we continued it. That’s when a bunch of unknown men came to us and knelt.
“We bow down to Crisis Soul’s rightful heir, Cozart Yana. We are the remaining man of Crisis Soul. We swore allegiance to your parents, Cozart Valerie and Cozart Shigure. For now, we’d like to crown you as the official leader of Crisis Soul.” One of them said.
I frowned. “Crisis Soul had disbanded. What are you all doing here?”
“We need to rise! We cannot stay connected to Crown Deck!” he argued.
“Why not?” I asked.
“Yana-san, the pride of one’s Mafia group is located in their leader’s passion. But now that Crisis Soul has emerged with Crown Deck, it seems like they cannot accept it and assumed that they have lost their pride and soul.” Kuroko answered for me.
“True! Please, Yana-sama! You must rise and help us!” they beamed.
I sighed. “No.”
They frowned.
“I’ve heard about you guys going on rampage trying to make Crisis Soul alive once again. But you’re wrong. I will not success the throne!” I said.
“You’re the one who’s wrong, Yana-sama!” the biggest of them spoke. “Uncrowned Kings are hunting us down. And if they knew that you aren’t the one who is leading our rampage, they will attack Crown Deck instead. Not to mention Crown Deck and Uncrowned Kings have terrible past! If we manage to rise once again, this will be over! The deal was that to break Crisis Soul until none remains to rebel and stand. If that were to happen, a huge amount of money will be given to the group that brought us down! So if we can rise, the deal will be cut off.” They explained.
I glanced at Kuroko and he nodded in confirmation. “Give me time to think about this.” I told them.
That was what happened and now I’m thinking how I’m supposed to ‘rise’? I got drowsy as I continued thinking.
****
Someone poked my nose. I flinched and continued sleeping.
**poke poke**
Ugh.
**poke poke**
Stop it.
**poke poke*
Go away!
**poke poke**
Tch! Does this person not understand my signal!?
**poke poke**
I’ll kill y—

My eyes shot open, “WHAT THE HECK DO YOU WANT!?” I yelled.
Nijimura stared back at me.
“Oh…. Sorry.” I apologized.
“How are you feeling?” he asked and took a seat.
I sat up and accepted the glass of water. “I’m fine, don’t worry. I’m strong, you know?”
“Yana….” He began, hesitated then shook his head.
“What is it?”
“What were you doing with Tetsuya that morning?” he queried.
I looked away.
“YANACCHI!!” suddenly the door went open and Ryouta came rushing in with Shintarou and Seijuurou trailing behind. Ryouta hugged me tightly and I patted his back, earning a glare from Nijimura. I gave him a ‘we’ll talk about this later’ eye contact and greeted the others.
Soon, Kuroko and Aomine came to visit too. Time skip and finally it was I alone in the room with Kuroko. He stared at me for a long time before speaking.
“I’m sorry on behalf of Shougo.” He said.
“About the gunshot? No it’s fine. I’m still alive.” I smiled.
He nodded and looked out of the window. I watched him.
“What do you want to talk about, Yana-san?” he queried, as if sensing my thoughts.
“Kuroko,” I spoke, gazing straight into his teal orbs. “How do I rise?”
********
“This is Seijuurou, hash tag 27. Code 017, location A. Direct order to Ryouta, hash tag 28. Launch missiles attack using plan 2. Ryouta, take lead.” the red-haired Akashi Seijuurou commanded. The earpiece crackled.
“This is Ryouta, hash tag 28. Code 022, location A, on air. Receiving order from Seijuurou, hash tag 27, missiles will be launched in a minute. Please evacuate the building as soon as you can. Ryouta, taking lead.” Blonde Kise Ryouta replied.
“Seijuurou, hash tag 27. Code 017, location A, floor 2 and 4, direct order to Shintarou, hash tag 22. Activate timed bombs using plan 1. Shintarou, take lead.” Akashi Seijuurou continued after accepting Ryouta’s answer.
The earpiece crackled once again. “This is Shintarou, hash tag 22. Code 073, location A, 25 meters from location. Receiving order from Seijuurou, hash tag 27, bombs will be activated. Evacuate the building or you’ll die. Shintarou taking lead- nanodayo.” The green-haired man answered.
Akashi Seijuurou nodded to himself, turned his heels and started to dart off from the building. His steps were wide and in a few seconds, he’s arrived in the other building. He readied his sniper, sniper glasses, and took aim, squinting one eye. The bullet pierced through a man’s back as soon as Akashi pulled the trigger. When the other men surrounding him were aware of the situation, Akashi pulled the triggers again and again, leaving them no time to pull out their guns. The earpiece crackled and his boss’s voice echoed.
“Seijuurou, go easy on them. I want that bastard alive.” Nijimura Shuzo told his earliest comrade through the microphone of his headphone connecting with Akashi.
Akashi straightened himself and loosened his tie as he watched a man running for his life in the other building after the missile attack by Ryouta. “He’s running towards the underground. The escape door has been destroyed and Shintarou had placed one that connects to floor 8, north door,” there was a pause before Akashi continued his reply. “In 28 seconds, be ready. Attack his right arm it’s injured. Lock him from behind.”
Nijimura crept through the dark hallway and waited at the north door, readying his gun.
“In 3, 2, 1… attack!”
The door swung open and Nijimura shot at the wall. The man shouted in fear and was terribly shaken when Nijimura grabbed his right arm and locked him from behind. He searched for the man’s gun located at his waist and pinned him to the wall.
“2 more coming your way.” Akashi warned.
“Saw them,” Nijimura clicked his tongue. “Shintarou, press that damn button.”
“You’re too harsh.” Midorima Shintarou spoke, his voice echoed through everyone’s ear.
“Shuzocchi go easy on them, you told Seicchi that.” Kise Ryouta interrupted.
“Shut up bastards.” Nijimura chided.
Two men were seen running towards Nijimura. The moment they were 10 meters from Nijimura, a mini explosion occurred and the two men was thrown backwards, seriously injured. Nijimura dragged the man with him as he exited the building.
“Seijuurou, get out and bomb the whole place. I want nothing but ashes.” Nijimura commanded.
“How about some bones with it?” Akashi suggested.
“Will be perfect.” Nijimura smirked.
********
“No!” I whined.
“Listen to me Yana!” Nijimura growled and slapped my hand away. “You won’t eat if I ever leave you! Now open your damn mouth!”
“Hngh—YADA!! I can eat it myself!!!!” I screamed and tried to steal the spoon away from his grasp.
Nijimura merely smirked at my reactions. “No you can’t. I received the nurse’s record on you. You did not eat at all yesterday.” He said.
I rolled my eyes.
Gently, he pushed me to the wall and held the spoon in front of me. “Let me feed you.”
I looked away.
“I’ve been shot once Yana. I know how it feels. At my age I didn’t even eat for two days straight to the point I had gastric and couldn’t eat properly.” He persuaded.
“But this is embarrassing. You should’ve asked the nurse to feed me.” I pouted.
He smiled genuinely, as if I was a baby who tried to make the father proud. It was like Kuroko had said; he smiles like an angel. “We’re husband and wife after all.” He laughed.
Blood rushed to my cheek and I hid my face under the blanket. WHAT IS HE SAYING?! WE’RE NOT MARRIED WHAT THE HECK! “What are you trying to do Yana?” he queried, obviously not aware of my heated face and racing heart.
“S-s-sneeze! I need to sneeze!” I gave an excuse.
“You have a tissue over here though.”
“D-don’t mind! I can manage!” I yelled.
He went silent. “Uh… okay, take your time then.”
God… could you stop my heart for a little while? He might hear this loud thump.
“That aside, I still need your answer.” He spoke.
I peeked at him, revealing just my two eyes. “What answer?”
He dropped his head and his expression saddened. “What are you hiding from me?”
My orbs widened.
“You want to rise, Yana-san? That would be easy. As long as you take up the courage of a tiger and the intelligence of a strategist, you will be able to help Nijimura-san and of course, lead the rampage, bring up the Crisis Soul once again and be a Mafia like what your parents had desired.”
He doesn’t know. He doesn’t need to know. Be it husband or fiancé, I don’t care. I want to love Nijimura like how everyone does. I want to help him as how he’d helped me all these times. If I don’t lead the rampage they’re having, Crown Deck will be a target. I don’t want to live as a burden to Nijimura.
I want to see his angelic smile again. I want to see him click his tongue in annoyance again. I want to see his smug face. I want to hit his nose as hard as I could. I want to fight alongside him.
I sat up and looked at him. “Nijimura.” I spoke. He looked up. I pulled his hands and embraced his protective body. “I swear I’ll tell you. That time will come.” I said, burying my face unto his chest.
“I’m sorry…” was all I could say afterwards.
There was a moment of silence before I felt his hand caressed my back soothingly. “Then I shall believe.” He replied.
I’m sorry. For now, let me settle things with Kuroko and Karuto. I can’t possibly tell you that I’m going to lead Crisis Soul on a rampage. You’ll lock me in your closet for sure. Thank you, Nijimura. I shall believe in you too.
